Distraction

Alice Pov:

The day started with good vibes.I woke up early and i went to school early today.My father is not at home so,ofcourse it will be peaceful without their fightings.My mother seemed a bit low today,but i didn't asked her anything and went to school early.

As like another day,Camilla droved me to the school.We got splitted up to our particular classes.

The maths teacher Ms. Jean started explaining problems.I was not interested to listen them,so i opened my phone.I got text from maive.I did left her text seen but she still messaged me again.

She texted "Hey,good morning"

I replied "Good morning to you too"

She texted"What you're doing?"

I replied "I'm in my class,what about you?"

She texted"oh okay,Am on my bed.My health is not good so yeah i'm not going to college today."

When she said she is not well,i felt uneasy.I wanted to take care of her but i know i cant because of the long distance.

I replied " Thats bad,Take care of your health.Get well soon:)"

She texted " Thank you for your concern"

I got totally involved chatting with her that i forgot i'm in class.Then i heard my friends calling me.

"Aliceee!Alicee! The teacher is looking at you" whispered ray.

I instantly looked at my teacher and saw that she she looking at me with furious eyes.

"Alice!No phones are allowed in my class.This is my last warning and concentrate to my class" said Ms jean.

I nodded and kept my phone aside.I felt embarassed,everyone was looking at me.I silently bent down my head.

Rest of the class i was only thinking of maive.What if she is waiting for my reply?I was annoyed for getting scolded and for not able to chat with her.The 45 min class felt like 2 hours for me.

As soon as the teacher stepped out of the class,i opened her text and replied her " Your welcome."

"Whats the matter alice?" asked max

"what you're talking about? I asked.

"Why were you distracted so much in maths class?" asked ray.

"Its nothing.I was just tired by the last night work.So i was distracted." I said.

"Ohhh,i see" said ray and max suspiciously.

I can see that,they didn't believed what i said.I too didn't lagged the conversation to not to get doubt on me.I know i can say the truth.I wanted to say that am talking with maive in online.But i was scared that they will be not okay to me for chatting unknown persons and being friends with them.So,i didn't say about her.

We all moved to our next class.I was still left 2 hours till lunch break.I didn't wanted her to wait for my reply.So,i texted her "I'll be back after 2 hours,cause i cant use my phone in class"

She replied okay. I went to history class and then after to physics class.After physics class we have lunch break.I was literally waited the time to run fast.But,i felt time was running so slow.

However,morning classes were completed and its time for lunch break.My friends,my girlfriend and i all went to the lunch area to have our food.

We got settled and started having lunch.

I checked my phone and replied her "Did you eat anything?"

She texted "Not really,i am not feeling hungry."

I texted her " If you dont eat you will get more weak,eat something,take medicines and have rest."

She replied "Yeah, since i live alone,i should have to prepare lunch.I dont have energy to do that."

I do not know that she is living alone.I wished i had lived with her,so that i could make her lunch and gave her food.I know its sounds too much,but that is how i felt.

I texted "Oh,then drink some milk with biscuits"

She replied " i will try"

I was distracted,when my girlfriend said "babe,why you're not eating.Stop using that phone and eat your lunch"

She snatched my phone and kept in her pocket so that i'll eat my lunch.

I didn't had a choice and silently started eating my lunch.

My friends were talking about something,but i was not interested to talk about anything so i just nodded to them.

I didn't felt hungry ,i didn't even completed my lunch fully.I left all the food,for which my girlfriend got angry me but i didn't cared about that.

The lunch break completed.so,I asked Camilla to give back my phone.Then,i took my phone and we got split to our regular classes.After lunch,we have language class.which is boring and most of them dont listen to the class.The teacher too doesn't care whether we are listening or not.She just keeps on explaining.

I didn't concentrated about class and opened my phone to see the messages.

Maive texted "Anyways,I gotta go.I'll take some rest.Talk to you later"

I replied okay to her and kept my phone aside cause i dont have anything to do in that.My friends were not with me in this class.So,its just me alone in this class.

Thw teacher is explaining something,but,All i was thinking was about maive.

I'm so confused about maive.I dont know why am feeling like this but,I feel excited when she texts,that is the reason why i'm unable to concentrate on other things while am chatting with her.I even ignore other messages just to chat with her.

Howevee,history class completed and i went to the last class which is chemistry,Where me and Camilla get to see each other.Mr.Jacob said us to revision for the test tomorrow,so everybody opened their books started reading.I too opened my Book and tried to concentrate.

But,i really wanted to talk with maive so i opened my phone and

texted her

"I hope you did had a good sleep"

Luckily she replied "Yes,i guess,Its hard to sleep for me.But, i tried to and it helped me."

"Well,thats very good to know."

The rest of the class i continuosly chatted with her.I dont know what we even chatted.It was all random.

The class completed and everybody packing their bags to go to home.

I saw that my girlfriend is looking at me angrily.So,i went to her and asked

"What happened?Why you're all like that?

"You should tell me.Why are you always on your phone?"Camilla asked seriously.

"...I..I was bore..d,soo i was on my phone.."I said.

"You cant be on phone always,its not today.Since few days am observing you.You were always being on your phone.And ray,max also said that you were caught using phone.Explain me this?"She asked seriously looking directly into my eyes.

For a moment,i lost my temper.

I shouted at her angrily"ITS NOTHINGGG. and it doesn't matter okay.Anyways am walking home alone todayy"

I turned my head from her,packed my things and got over from there.I didn't even looked back.I know what i said was all messed up.I'm gonna regret it.
