Total Silance

That tall jerk from the bus walked in to the class like he owns it. The whole class gets silent and observe him. All the girls sigh in admiration and interest. All the boys show caution. I feel a teeny tiny bit of irritation somewhere in my heart when the girls sigh. What the everlasting hell!!

"Introduce yourself."Mrs. Jenny said.

"My name is Shawn Effron. Nice to meet you."

Whole class is waiting for more. But no. No company name. No reason why he came in the middle of the semester. No. Nothing more comes out of his mouth. He just give cold indifferent look.

Teacher looks at him then over our class's expected gaze.

"Right. Okay. Then Shawn you can go to the Empty seat next to Miranda. "

He looks up and search for the empty seat. His eyes find me. The nonchalant look he carried from entering the classroom till now disappears instantly. The same hatred he showed at the bus replaces it but again it turns back to nonchalance withn seconds. It's like I imagined it.

I turn my eyes away from him towards the window. I feel his chilling gaze.

I hear the chair next to me scrap the floor I hear him take his seat. I try with my full might to not turn around but it was fruitless from the beginning. I can't not see him.

I turn toward him. He is sitting the same way I saw him in the morning. His long legs are stretched and he has his hands behind his head. There is a small scar that I didn't notice in the morning on his face. Its about 1 inch near temple of his left cheek. I wonder how he got that. I try to memorize all the features of this godly handsome man.

"Miranda. Miranda."

"Miranda!"

I stand up hurriedly and turn towards Mrs. Jenny's shout. My chair fall back with a loud noice. The whole class start to laugh at my clumsiness. My face turns beet red. I am so embarrassed that I wish I could die on the spot. Why does this have to happen now in front him?

" You deserve it low class. " Our school queen sneer at me. This makes the whole class start laughing again. Mrs. Jenny tries to stop the noise but no one listen to her.

"If you all don't control yourselves now there would be a whole class detention time."

This gets the class controled but I can here some snickers here and there.

"And Miranda I was going to ask could you show Shawn around the school today? And also since he doesn't have the textbooks today share yours and Shawn, later go to the office in the break to get your textbooks and study materials. Understood?"

Shawn stand up and say, "Thankyou madam." as I say, "Okay Mrs. Jenny."

"Okay then all of you get ready for your first period. Take care all."

Mrs. Jenny leaves the class.

Then Shawn come towards me and lift my chair up for me. There is pin drop silance in the whole class.
