Chapter 3

FERRY's POV

I woke up in the morning with a heavy head. I still have a big day-to-day and I don't know if I can survive this school. I don't know what to do anymore, I don't even have anyone related to me here.

"Damn. My head hurts." I hissed. I walked to the bathroom to get ready. I just need to freshen up.

After I took a shower, I saw the first-ever school uniform I saw in my closet.

"New life, new uniform. Tsk." I say to myself. I finish everything and get out of my room and head to where the cafeteria. I can see a lot of students in the hallway, some are playing and some are bullying someone.

I still ignore the surroundings and just focus on walking. I'm starving, and I don't want to get involved in their mess. This is not my territory, to begin with.

I easily found the cafeteria since a lot of students are heading there for breakfast. As I entered the cafeteria, everybody is looking at me like they are all excited to take a bite of me. Damn! I used to be a famous-spoiled heartthrob back then, and I used to receive a lot of compliments and stares. But now, it's quiet, and I fear their stares. It shivers me to death. Although it gives me bad luck by coming to this school, I still don't want to make any trouble for myself. Even if I'm scared, I must not give them a hint of it.

As I walked straight to the counter, I still feel their gazes. I shrugged and focus my eyes on the front.

I looked at the food and it looks normal. I pointed out some food I usually eat and I sat on the edge of the cafeteria after receiving and paying for my orders.

I started eating my food and just ignore everybody. I'm still waiting for my dad to call me and pick me up here. I can't contact him.

"Hi! Can I sit with you?" A sharp voice disturbed my moment of eating. I looked up and saw another girl that I didn't meet before. I was hesitant, I don't know to reply. I want to be alone, yet there's always someone who will come and disturb my peace.

She seemed to get my expression and was also hesitant if she leaves or not. But before that, I just nodded and say yes. I sighed. Guess, I'm still attractive to weird females here.

"Hi! I'm Aileen. What's your name?" she asked. I ignore her and just focus on my food. I'll eat a lot today because who knows if I can eat later. There are a lot of weirdos here.

"You're a snob," she added after a couple of minutes of me not replying to her question. I just shrugged and continue ignoring her. As I finished my food, I heard a scream, probably coming from a man.

"AAHHHHH! M-MONST-TER!" He said while trembling in fear. People in the cafeteria seem to not care about the problem that is happening inside the cafeteria.

"Humans are so annoying!---"

"Sshhh--don't be liked that."

I heard them say, they sat near to my table. I can hear the two girls who were gossiping and didn't mind the chaos. I gulped.

What was that mean? Are they vampires? But it is not obvious, though their weird looks are creepy. I looked again at the scene where the man is screaming but I was like hit by a huge ice of what I saw.

"B-blood…" I whispered while trembling. How? How there is blood?

"That dumbass is dead! He didn't take the rules seriously! Tsk" the girl who sat in front of me mumbled. She introduces herself earlier, she must be Aileen. She saw my horrified look and she just shook her head slightly. Like she was telling me it was a dumb move of him to be exposed in broad daylight.

I stand up and am ready to vomit after seeing blood on the floor. What nearly gives me a heart attack is the thirst in their eyes.

What's happening?

Before I could talk, the door of the cafeteria opened. There are a group of people walking inside, directly heading to the chaos.

"It's the school Vice-President!" Aileen said. My forehead curled up. What? Vice-president of student affairs? He looked young and where was the elder? They must be here. The scene is crucial and horrible, why did they let these students handle such a situation? And it seems that witnessing such a scene is like a simple matter to them.

"The killer must be lucky. It seems that the president is busy." Aileen added. Like she doesn't care. And based on what she said, the guy really died? And the President is what? Why does it need to be the President to call it bad luck? Is the Vice-president isn't enough?

"Did the guy really just die?" I asked. She peeked at me and smirked.

"Of course. His bad attitude brought him to death." she frankly answered.

I'm confused.

How the hell did that person who just died yet was still accused of misbehaving that led to his own death?

"H-huh? I'm confused." I honestly said. Now, she faced me and smiled. She stared at me like she wants to know the answer to why I'm confused and shocked. She sighed.

"A newbie like you is innocent," she said. "But don't let yourself be caught by the President. You'll regret it." She added and confidently look again at the scene. They clean up the messed and dragged the killer with them out of the cafeteria.

"What's with the President? Why are you not scared of the Vice-president?" I asked out of confusion.

"The president's more vicious and evil. If she wants you dead, you'll die," she said like she was scaring me. If so, then she succeeds, she did scare me.

The bell rang and it was time for class. Before Aileen leaves me, she turned back and smiled at me once again.

"At 6 p.m. You must be at your dormitory. President likes to wander at night, keep yourself safe and be back at your dorm before dark." she said with a hint of warning.

I was left there dumbfounded. What the heck is happening? I just witnessed a murder and Argh! I don't know what to think anymore. I must contact dad immediately! With a shaking soul, I walked and left the cafeteria and head back to our classrooms.
