Earning a frown from the latter the Empress chuckled, with a reply that earned her another frown from the lord."Seems like the lord isn't happy to see his Empress or may I say is too busy to even think about her!", she stated, all her actions showing gentleness.

Jimin eyed the servants while the latter taking the hint gave the couples privacy.

"I presume even the empress isn't free enough to have a gossip, So I request her to enlighten me about why she wanted my presence?", the lord let his words out without a drop of emotion in his eyes.

"Your son is sick your highness, you should at least pay him a visit or have you lost even the tiny bit of conscience towards your family?", she replied, the sweetness never leaving her smile.

Jimin's pov //:

I don't know why she has to start it all over again? Can't she just let me live in peace even for a moment? All I wish right now is to walk from here closing the door on her ugly face. I can't tolerate that smile she gives pouring all the bitter sweetness in it.Family she says, I've never wished for one with her.Then why? I never wanted this family, I never wanted to marry her in the first place.And the son who she is claiming to be sick, does she even remember his full name. Did she ever care for Taemin. I don't know what on earth did she feed him now that he got sick.I need to take him to my castle.

"Where is he?", I asked showing as less emotions as I can to which she called her maid to bring Taemin. Stopping the maid I continued, "Just say where he is?"

"In his room lord", Ji-eun spoke in an indescribable tone, which sounded anything but nice.

Not giving any further shit I left the room and was finally able to breathe fresh air without perfume.

I hurried towards Taemin's room. My heart shattered into pieces as I saw him laying weak trembling.A prince in his mother's so called care. Letting out a sigh I went beside him. Feeling my presence he tried to get up but layed down again at my command.

"I told you a million times and I am saying it again prince, you don't have to bow in front of me. Why don't you just take me as a friend hmm, and tell me how did you even end up in bed? What poison did your mother use this time?"

"No no no, i-it's n-not h-her f-f-fault, it was m-me, w-who was carel-less", he spoke earning a sigh from me.

" When will you ever understand that she hates you prince, come and live with me, I can't see you like this anymore, you know I can't do anything against her, you are my own blood whom I can't sacrifice ever"

"I'll be a-alright f-father, o-one day s-he will surely l-love us, y-you see I will m-make it h-happen", he replied giving me a cheerful but boxy smile.How much I love it.

" Okay my prince but you are coming with me for a month, and no buts take it as the lords order, you never break it do you?"

"Ok father, I will"

"Your Hoseokie uncle is coming back from the war too"

"yes, now sleep I will arrange for your departure"
