Chapter 2: The New World

After I opened my eyes, a beautiful lady appeared in front of me; a blonde, innocent, and angel-looking lady. 

And beside her, there was a handsome guy with a good body and a horrific aura that you could compare to a legendary knight.

"Look, darling! Our son looks handsome just like you. "

"Yeah, and he got your angelic behaviour just like yours too."

They compared me to themselves, with their happy expressions on their faces, and they began to hug me lovingly.

"Your name will be Yuiichi Nobunaga."

My new name is Yuiichi Nobunaga. What a historic family name I've got here.

And this family, I'm going to protect them with all of my might.

Five years later,

Five years have come and gone, and our peaceful life hasn't changed, nor has our happy family.

I can crawl on my own, and with the blessing of my goddess, I can read a text in this world's languages. In this world, mages,knights,heroes, kings, and queens exist here. It's a totally fantasy world, a world that is very unique to my old world.

My mother was a mage, while my father was a knight. They're both retired now because of me. But I'm glad that they're retired, so there's no danger that will come to them.

After five years, I roamed around our house. The house is a little bit better. It looks more like a little version of a villa, but with furniture from the old era. The current era of this world is not more advanced than the old Japan.

While looking, I found a library in our house. This library was my mom's library, and every book here was my mom's collection of magic spells.

When my mother left my room, I would sneak out and go to her library to read some books and learn some of the magic spells. I also learned a way to maintain my mana stable as early as I could.

I discovered a simple way to keep my mana in my body; it's more like I need to do some yoga and focus on my inner core, which means my heart and brain are imagining my mana flowing through my nerves.

There are five tiers of being a great mage: novice, amateur, veteran, king, and God class.

You can notice that if your tier is higher by casting different kinds of magic from different elements, every magic element has its own tier too. If you can cast magic higher than a king, you can be considered a living god. There's only one person who reaches a god tier, but after that, mages reach a god tier, he disappears and is nowhere to be found.

Well, there is such a theory that he seeks a higher level of magic, but that theory is still a theory and can't be defined as truth.

For now, I can maintain my mana at a stable level and I can cast some novice-tier spells in water like "Water Ball" and in the wind like "Whirlwind." This spell isn't very powerful in comparison to what I imagined magic to be. But at least I have some weapons up my sleeve that can be used in the future.

"Yuiichi?"

"Where are you going? Mommy is here. "

My mother called me with her angelic voice.

Not very long ago, my mother found out where I was.

"Oh my, you're just here."

She lifted me and squeezed me gently with her angelic smile on her face.

"Darling, dinner is ready!"

My mother called my father to start our dinner. And my father came to kiss and hug my mother on the cheek. What a beautiful couple we had.

"There's a bandit! Everyone run! "

The loud voice of a man outside, with many people rushing towards him, and the sound of a sword can be heard even inside of our house.

"Darling.."

My mother called my father with a worried look on her face.

Someone suddenly trespassed into our house with a long sword in his hand.

He warned my father with a menacing look. And other members of his group suddenly came in too.

"Hey, look at that girl. She's so beautiful. We should take her too. "

He said, with a perverted look at my mother.

My father looked annoyed by this bastard. But for some reason, my heart felt like being tightly held by someone, a feeling of irritation and a feeling of... DESPAIR..should I use some magic and try to harm them with all the might I had?

"I'm sorry,Yuiichi, but let mom loose a little bit. Those people are literally annoying me."

My mother said to me while a horrific aura suddenly appeared on her and she was ready to throw a spell, a spell with no chant. What is happening?

"Darling, be easy on them, or we can say, kill them as clean as you can."

My father's sarcastic advice on mom.

"Die!."

A gigantic fireball suddenly appeared and burned every bandit until they became ashes and magic level that can be considered as King Tier. Is this mom's true power?

My father suddenly went out with a light sword that suddenly appeared at her waist, a sword that could cut everything. He sliced everyone, one by one, with a psychotic look at him, and just a few minutes later, all the bandits suddenly died in the most horrible way of death that you can imagine.

"Thank you very much, the great hero and the great mage of the capital."

"Our gratitude to you will not be enough for all of the protection you gave to us."

said by the elders of our village.

"That's okay, Mr. Counselor. We are a little bit annoyed too. We wish to hold them, but our patient is not that long as everyone thinks. "

My father's sarcastic reply while holding the leader's head of the bandits
