Chapter 1– Mirai Monét

Today is the weekend my parents said we would travel. I got ready pretty quickly, being that my bags were already packed.

This is the outfit she is wearing.

I was a little tired because I spent most of my sleeping hours on the phone with my best friends, Emily and Liana. They were teasing me non-stop about my crush Oliver Mack. But I really don't blame myself for liking him. He's really handsome, and his last name sounds nice. I trail of almost forgetting I had to be downstairs, mentally slapping myself at how gross I sound. At this point I'm cringing at myself daily.

Before I could make my way downstairs, I could already hear my name being yelled by my brother Minoru.

"Mirai!" he yelled, sounding annoyed, "Get your slow ass downstairs!"

I laugh when I hear him exclaim in pain, probably being slapped by my dad for his use of profanity. He is only 1 year older than me, but he acts like he's way older, and always touches my stuff- I'm getting frustrated just thinking about it. In conclusion, he's very annoying.

I'm very excited about our trip to Peru but I dread airports, it's not like I'm running low on money or anything, but I know I'm not the only one who thinks everything is overpriced.

\~\~ On the plane... \~\~

I wish Emily and Liana were here with me, but they had their own plans for the last 2 weeks of summer. Emily was staying with her boyfriend's family at their lake house in Georgia, while her parents where on a business trip in Vegas for one of their larger hotels. Liana was visiting family in Venice, Italy, first time she's visiting her dad's side of the family in all her 17 years of life.

After a while we landed at the airport there. My mom and dad were talking about how happy they were for making the decision to take a vacation here. Minoru had his arm around my shoulder, while he texted his best friend, Brealynn, laughing nonstop. He honestly looked creepy. I don't why in the world the girls at my school thought he was handsome. I mentally laughed at the thought. I felt safe at the thought of my brother being here. After what happened, I gained a lot of trust issues. My therapist said to take my time meeting and trusting new people, and whatnot. But I just bought a keychain taser, a rape alarm, and a few rings that where really sharp. My mental health would be damned if I let anyone take advantage of me again.

After a long 2-hour drive, we finally, got to the hotel. The ratings were pretty good, staying at an average of 4-5-star reviews.

We all checked into our rooms, our parents deciding to get separate rooms, but happily leaving me and my brother together, I thought, rolling my eyes. I didn't want to wake up in the middle of the night to catch him beating up his meat, to the sweet and pretty Brealynn.

I mean it so obvious he has a crush on her. Me and her are pretty good friends so she's slept over a couple times now and then. Then my stupid brother came in and was like,

"Wassup, baby girl, let's be besties, cuz I'm catching good vibes.... dude." I thought while trying to mentally imitate brother.

....

"Do you want anything?", My brother asked as he ordered room service.

"Umm, I'll take 1 large pineapple and sausage pizza, with garlic dip." I answered after a moment of thought. "Oh oh, and a large bottle of sprite"

"Will that be all?" He said in an obnoxious frat girl voice. "Yes, thank you" I said rolling my eyes.

"You eat more than a black hole, Mirai" he said not surprised. "Fat foods for a fat ass." I said, quickly finishing my sentence before he had the chance to cut me off. I was laughing at his reaction, when he plopped down on his bed and turned on the TV to watch Stranger Things. A show we were watching together. It took a while to log into Netflix though, being that we had to to call our parents for the login info, by the time we were finally able to log in, our room service had come, and my pizza was down to 7 slices.

After a long time of laughing, crying, and getting frustrated over Stranger Things, I finally decided to go to sleep. Minoru was still busy texting Brealynn, but I was just happy I wasn't witnessing anything I wasn't supposed to see. She had posted some really cute bikini pics the other day soooo... anyways, our beds lay side to side from each other, I wished they were farther away. But as if that would help me not listen to my brother laughing and internally fangirling over Brealynn.

But slowly enough I drifted to sleep after playing my Spotify playlist 'Daydream'.

Mirai: "You can have my Barbie doll if you'd like"

Adrien: "And you can have my Hulk action figure, cuz he's way stronger than Ken"

Mirai: "Thanks Riri, you're so nice"

Adrien: "Hey! I thought I said not to call me that, you can't even spell your own name right"

Mirai: "Can too!". "Anyways wake your parents up when the big clock wand is at 7, and not the-"

Adrien: "Yea yea, and not the short one, I got it, okay, don't always have to remind me."

Mirai: "Yea, actually, I do. Last time you woke them up late and I had to let Holly and her sister take the swings, cuz mommy says to be nice."

Adrien: "Now that we've traded toys, we're gonna be best friends forever, Alright?"

Mirai: "Okay Riri, I promise, we'll be best friends till we have gray hair, like my granddaddy."

Adrien: "Wayyyy longer than that, my daddy says forever's longer than we could ever imagine. Yea we're stuck with each other, I like it that way"

Mirai: "Me too Riri, we could watch Barney forever, let's go downstairs now Teletubbies is playing, and we don't want Addison hogging the TV to watch football."
