Chapter 4 ( Explanation of Sorrow )

I started going around the whole room searching for something worth knowing. Eventually, my eyes fixed on a drawer of the previous owner's study table. It's the only drawer on the table that has a different color. I tried to pull out the drawer, but it seemed to be locked. Then, I started to pull out the rest of the drawers until I finally found a certain key. I tried to open the drawer using the key then 'clack' ~ it's working!

'Hmm? What is this? A book?'

Other than that book, there's nothing else in the drawer. I took the book and started moving towards the bed. It seems like a diary. I flipped through the book page by page, making me immerse in my own world.

I cried, cried and kept crying.

“Why!! Why did you do that, Cassandra! No! You don't deserve it! You don't deserve all of this! You have everything, while I have nothing! Then why did you choose this path!”

I spoke slowly, but desperately letting out all the sadness in my chest.

*****This is what's written in the diary*****

*** Greetings to whoever that has been summoned into my body. I am Cassandra Xylius Maldonia\, the owner of the body that is now yours.***

'Summoned? So the reason I ended up in this body was because of a summoning spell? Not a coincidence?'

***…. I suppose by now\, you're wondering how you ended up in my body\, who gave me poison and what is this place. Maybe there's a lot more of questions in your mind\, thus I hope the explanation that I'm going to make\, enough to clear the thirst of your curiosity.***

*** To begin with\, you're in a world that far from normal than your previous world. I can say that you're now in a magical world. Everyone in this world has magical power sources circulating in their body\, but it's fairly weak. It's only strong enough to use in our daily work. However\, these terms only limited to commoners. People from the Noble and Royal family are an exception. They're born with powerful magical power. Which means\, I am one of them. This place called\, Maldonia Kingdom\, ruled by The King and Queen\, my parents.***

*** The hierarchy system is still used in this world hence\, there are many parties\, especially from the nobles who abuse their power to oppress the commoners and snatch away their rights. Wars are still going on between several Kingdoms\, thus\, the case that I just told is difficult to eradicate.***

*** Currently\, you're staying in a Royal Palace\, where as The King\, Queen\, Princes and Princess lives. I have three older brothers\, and I am the youngest. I'll have to skip the family introduction\, as I'm running out of time. Don't worry\, you will know them well enough as time passes.^-^ ***

*** Now\, for the main part. You already knew that I was born with a weak body\, right? As I was born this way\, everyone can't seem to understand my circumstances… And that\, including my parents and older brothers. They can casually say\,  'stay in your bed. Get enough sleep and rest for your body to grow stronger'. But\, this is my body. I know more than anyone else that this body is breaking apart.***

*** This happened two years ago when I was eleven. On New Year's Eve at that time\, while I was enjoying the festival\, I suddenly lost consciousness. Royal Physician told that it was due to my weak body. With enough rest\, it will be alright. As time passes\, I felt my body are getting weaker and weaker. Eventually\, I gave up the will to keep living.***

*** I started searching for a black magic\, learned it in order to perform summoning spell for one to take over my body. It took me the whole two years to finally mastered the whole spell. It is said that I have to commit suicide for the spell to be complete ---- If you've read this far\, I'm sorry, I know what you're thinking. But I have come this far, I will not give up even if I have given up to live, I will finish this spell.***

*** I chose the easy way\, which is......'poison'. Mountain Laurel is commonly found in a thick forest up in a mountain far away from the Palace. I coincidentally found this flower when I was lost in a mountain looking for a book about black magic. At first\, I only picked this flower because of its beautiful color. I didn't know it was poisonous. To think that it would be used in my commit suicide purpose\, — Didn't intend to laugh\, but I think this is indeed my destiny.***

*** If you're wondering why you're the one who summoned into in my body\, I think it's because of your situation is similar to mine. We are both in a situation where no one will accept our opinion. The difference is\, you are strong. You still have the will to continue living despite all the suffering you have gone through.***

*** I guess it's time for me to say goodbye ---- I know you'll be fine. I leave my life to you. Don't be like me\, okay. ^-^ Treasure your time here and live your life to the fullest.***
