Chapter IV: 50 Men Strike Team

"Charlie team, division 6 is advancing to the area, over."

"Copy that C-6, air support is on the way!"

An armoured bus, filled with 50 strike team and couple of armoured cars and Mi-Sa Self-Propelled Light Railgun. They are now making their way into the battlefield. Inside the bus are Captain Cole, Captain Theodore, and Captain Harry "Hookie" Fritz.

"This is too crowded! Watch it! That's my pistol!" shouted Cole to Hookie.

"You better take off that running shoes Hookie, you look more like Usain Bolt rather than George S Patton." Theodore ridiculed Hookie's favorite running shoes.

Annoyed, Hookie shouted back at them, "Oh Both of you, shut up!"

The bus suddenly stopped. Cole can already hear gunfire outside. As the door of the bus opened, Cole said, "Here it comes boys! For Lunica!"

The Lunican strike team rushes outside, immediately taking cover from enemy machine gun fire. Ralph, who's also inside the bus, rushes out with his rifle, and heading towards Cole's position. "We're here now boy. Navy comms tower. I'll ask, you scared of heights son?" Asked Cole.

"No sir. I'm fine with that." Answered Ralph nervously.

"Then now open your grenade pouch. We're going to disable those MG nests."

"Alright sir."

Meanwhile from the Bennett Airbase, air support are coming fast. 30 fast jets, armed with 30mm rotary cannons and bombs, are heading into the tower. Codename Sonderkommando Radiata. "Air support is ready. Charlie-Six, state your targets, over!"

"Silence all MG nests around the tower!" Said Cole to a backpack radio.

"Roger that! Attacking targets!"

A rain of lead befall the nests and strongholds around the tower. Almost all of the enemy forces were cut down in heavy fire of the rotary cannons Ralph saw it with his own eyes. Before his eyes was indeed the manifestation of the grim reaper.

With the enemies all killed, the strike team moved forward, and inside the big lobby in the tower's base. It has been all barricaded with sandbags, and the resistance were as high as ever. "Cole, stun grenades, NOW!" Shouted Hookie. Cole then pulled the pin. It was a stun grenade, a non lethal grenade of flash, pepper, and rubber balls designed not to kill, but capture. With the enemies all stunned, they are almost immediately surrendered en masse with their eyes temporarily blinded.

With his pistol pointed towards the surrendering enemies, Cole said, "Get on the ground, now!" In which Theodore commented, "You'll never forget your cop training, Cole."

The strike team kept moving. "Emergency stair door's locked. "Said Ralph."

"Hold on son, I got this." Cole then blasted the door open with his shotgun. "Alpha team, go to the top. Bravo Team, silence all AA emplacements. Charlie Team with me, sweep clear the building from possible hidden enemies." Said Hookie to all strike team.

"Hookie's right. Ralph, and Erik. Hookie, I need Erik's expertise on hacking doors and traps inside this building." Said Cole.

The team moved to their positions. Theodore, now a machine gunner and a captain at the same time, aimed his gun at some AA crew from the window. He gave them hell. "Back to Concordia, where you all belonged! Die already!" Shouted Theodore angrily at them. His focuses are only to the enemy. After his MG finally runs out of ammo, he unfolds his SMG, and starting another massacre on the tower platforms.

Cole, Ralph, and Erik now sweeping through the building. Room after room, Ralph mowed down every enemies with his submachine gun. Meanwhile Cole blasted them with shotgun, and when the ammo runs out, he whipped out his pistol. "Leave no survivors. We cannot afford a large amount of prisoners here." Said Cole to the whole team.

"Sir yes sir!"

Suddenly during Cole's attack, Theodore called through. "AA guns are silenced, C. You better call in the Radiata to finish off the advancing additional reinforcements to prevent us being all surrounded inside the tower!" In which Cole replied. "No need for that. Looks like the whole Lunican Army is coming to reinforce us. We'll be caught in a crossfire. Too dangerous because of the range. It'll cause a friendly fire incident."

Having finished off all AA guns, Theodore took a small break. He light his cigarette. But as he and his team moved back from the platforms into the tower and as he opened the door gently, Hookie suddenly punched Theodore in the face. "What was that for?! I'm a Lunican soldier!"

"Theo? Sorry! I thought it was only a Junta soldier, I swear!"

"You wasted my cigarette, Hookie. Now bear this." Theodore than punched Hookie back in the face. "I hope the usual café will make a fighting ring for both of us!" Theodore also stepped on Hookie's running shoes.

"I'll give you my manga collection Theodore, just don't kill me!" Having his face punched and his shoes stepped on, Hookie asked for Theodore's mercy.

"Good grief." Answered Theodore while squinting his eyes at Hookie.

Meanwhile outside, around the tower has became a battleground. Lunican Army and Junta Army fought head to head. Mostly from the 18th, 4th, and 1st Army fought against a larger number of invading forces. The tower is just a diversion. It worked. The enemies threw everything at the location. The Mi-Sa Artillery railgun opened fire. Despite higher troop number, they are all killed by the railguns. Ralph, Cole, Theodore, and Hookie are all stunned by the sight as dozens of railguns lobbed their projectiles to destroy the incoming enemies.

At exactly 1700 hours, the battle was won by the Lunicans. A purple flag was erected on the top of the tower by Ralph, Cole, Theodore, Hookie, Erik, and other soldiers present during the attack. 10 lives were lost, cutting the number of the strike team from 50 to 40. After the attack, they are all given 1 week break plus all awarded Medal of The Great White Rose. For the dead, Countess Emilia awarded them Order of The Blooming Red Lycoris, which was established after Cole himself wrote Emilia a letter to honour the dead.

Now dressed only with military jacket alongside Theodore and Ralph, they entered a taxi, heading into the Molodin's finest pub and café. "Now kid, here we are. Welcome to the club. This is where I and several other friends hang out." Said Cole to Ralph. Theodore then says, "Because this is your welcome party, order the food that you want. Me and Mr.C will pay for the tab."

"Why thank you sir. Welcome for myself, I guess." Said Ralph. "Don't mention it. Theo, open the door for the little guy."

Theodore opens the door to the café. Inside, there are already Mike, Kurt, and Pash. "What do we have here. Cole, are you adopting someone again?" Asked Mike upon seeing Ralph. "This man, isn't just an ordinary man. Ralph introduce yourself to my mates." Cole suddenly tapped Ralph's shoulder.

"I'm Lieutenant Ralph Thälmann. 4th LRB, L Company. My last battle was during the tower attack." Ralph introduced himself.

"Interesting. Thälmann please, have a seat. Because I want to talk about our secret organisation here. Since Cole trusted you, I'll trust you too. Furthermore, I want to know about your expertise."

Ralph sat down with Mike.

"Alright everyone, now into the point. We've been running this organisation from a long time ago. Everyone in this café knows about it, even the barista Mr. Christopher Karsten there." Mike pointed at Karsten, and in turn Karsten waved at them. He then continues, "Since Cole's finally out from the secret police, we've been thinking about making something that is more secret than them. We are just in fact, the top leaders. Our agents are everywhere, we even have moles inside the Junta Armed Forces. We call ourselves Purple Shadow Group, and we were commanded directly by people within the Royal Family." Then suddenly Ralph asked, "Who?"

"Codename Magnus Rex." answered Mike.

"How many countries these agents are in?" Asked Ralph again.

"Not just Lunica and the surroundings. We have also have agents in the Earth Nations too. United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, China, The Majapahit Empire, United Korea, African Commonwealth, Arabia, South American States, and Japan. We recruited all of them in the span of just 6 years. In Majapahit Empire, we have Grand General Shakti as one of our informants, and Admiral Daizou from the Japanese Empire. Both of them has the strongest army and navy on earth. Cole usually go for abroad missions alongside Theodore. But now, you will be included." Mike pointed at Ralph.

Cole then explains the mission. He says, "Our mission for tomorrow will be in Tokyo, Japan. We did received several intel regarding the Junta's dealing with the Japanese government. Don't worry, Magnus Rex won't list you as AWOL because you suddenly absent from the army. We will meet the Admiral 4 days from now. So pack your belongings, gentlemen."

The meeting ended. "You have some kind of suit don't you?" asked Cole to Ralph, still at the café.

"No. I don't have one." Answered Ralph.

"Well, wear my old suit then. It's dark red. The tie is made of Nishiki brocade, it was a gift from Daizou long ago. You'll like it for sure. And for transport in Japan, I have one garage that we can use." Cole explained.

"See this thing?" Cole showed Ralph a key. "I have a supercar for transport in Japan. I bought it by my own police retirement money."

"Hell yeah!" Ralph instantly bursted into excitement upon hearing the word "Supercar".

The mission goes on. 4 days later with a stealth ship, they left Lunica for Earth.
