School seems to last a bit longer than usual for Jungkook since his partner in crime isn't around.
The final bell sounds and Jungkook makes his way to the limo waiting outside to pick him up. He takes out his phone to message Taehyung.
Jungkook
Today was so boring without you hyung 😩
Jungkook
I'll be over soon
He puts his phone back into his pocket as he waits for Taehyung to respond.
The car door opens and Jungkook's older brother, Jimin gets inside as well.
Jimin
Hello, my Jungkookie.
Jimin
I missed you so much.
The alpha pulls him into a crushing hug and Jungkook struggles to break free.
Jungkook
You saw me this morning and not to mention in the cafeteria.
Jungkook
Why are you like this?
Jimin
It's normal for an older brother to dote on his baby brother.
While that is true, Jungkook sometimes gets the impression that his brother loves him too much.
Jungkook
I'd like to go to Taehyungie hyung's house, sir.
Jungkook speaks to the driver who nods his head. He cranks up, and then they're on their way.
Jimin
Why do you like hanging out with that lowborn?
Jungkook
Because he's my friend and don't call him that.
His phone vibrates in his pocket. He takes it out and sees a reply from Taehyung.
Happiness swells up inside him.
Taehyung is presenting as an alpha now.
Jungkook had been scared at the thought of Taehyung presenting as an omega and what challenges that might have on their friendship.
There is no doubt in Jungkook's mind that he'll present as an alpha.
His brother is an alpha, their parents are alphas, their grandparents are alphas, their great-grandparents are alphas-- their whole lineage is purely alphas.
Now with Taehyung being an alpha too, they get to continue to be friends.
Jimin
What are you smiling about?
Jungkook says, smile still not leaving his face. Jimin eyes him suspiciously.
Eventually the driver arrives at Taehyung's place. Jungkook grabs his bag and makes to get out before Jimin stops him.
Jimin
I picked this up from the snack bar for you.
The alpha hands Jungkook a cream bun which the younger accepts graciously.
Jungkook
See you at home for dinner.
Jungkook gets out and heads for the door.
He doesn't even notice that the wrapper on the cream bun has been tampered with.
