We’re at a round table, talking and sipping our teas while waiting for our friend.

“Hey, everyone! I’m sorry I came late,” Ixion said, while pouting her lips.

It’s her habit to act cute when she make a mistake.

We looked at her plastering our smiles, but something got our attention the most; it’s a man beside her.

I scanned his entire body. He has an intimidating, yet friendly aura. His sterling gray eyes looks like when you contact with it, it will swallow you slowly and caged you. He wears a simple shirt and a faded jeans. Even from the way he simply dress, it still suits on his visual appearance.

I was back from my senses when I remember something… it’s one of our rule that we would never bring a boy if it’s girls hangout, and if we would bring, the boy better has ‘he’s the one’ title.

And the way, I looked at this man, I am sure that he is only playing or Ixion is just a side dish for her.

But I guess, I should trust the decision of Ixion than my observation. She will never be in a relationship with this guy if she doesn't like him.

I’m sure that this girl is in love, I smirked secretly as to what I thought.

“Hmm… It’s okay, Ixion. By the way, who’s that guy beside you? Mind to introduce him?” Leigh asked, as she fixed herself. She sat like a true lady right unlike a while ago that she sits like a boy. She then stared at the boy evilly.

Ixion got shocked. I guess she forgot that she brought someone.

“Oh! I’m sorry about that. I forgot that I brought my boyfriend here. Anyway, this is Ace Lopez, and Ace these people are my best friends slash sisters; Kendra, Leigh, and Michelle,” she stated as she introduced as, while pointing her finger towards us.

Ace stretched his hand for a formal gesture with a smile. No one wanted to answer his formalities, thus I elbowed and give a sign to each of them. Even though we feel something wrong about this guy, we still have to respect.

I saw on my peripheral vision that Michelle looked at Ace seductively.

I furrowed my brows on what she is acting right now.

What’s wrong with this girl?! What if Ixion would look into her side. This would be a f*cking disaster! I silently cussed in my mind.

“So, we just want to clear even though Ixion already introduced you, are you really her boyfriend or just brother or what?” I asked to make Michelle snapped from what she is doing.

I know my question is the nonsense of all because Ixion already introduced him, but it’s better than to have a girl fight. D*mn that Michelle! She never thinks of others feelings.

“He really is my boyfriend, Kends,” Ixion said, smiling widely in front of me. “Well, he looks older than me, but we’re only 5 years gap.”

My eyes widened from what she said. He really is her boyfriend. She got into relationship before me. How unfair!

We are about to break the silence on our table because when Ace and Ixion sat down, the atmosphere changed. I can’t understand why they are so silent or how could they be silent when I know that they don’t know what’s the word silent, but I just want to observe on how would they react to this new set-up, while I’m eating what I ordered.

Leigh coughed a bit to catch our attention when Ace’s cellphone rang.

Ace fished it out on his pocket and looked at the registered name of the caller. As I was observing, his face changed and looked at Ixion who’s mind was no longer around us as she continue eating what’s in front of her. She’s too innocent.

“Baby, I’ll answer this for a bit. Is it okay?” Ace smiled as he asked Ixion’s permission.

Ixion didn’t bother to look at him that she just nodded her head, and swayed her hands like she is shooing a fly.

We were about to pour Ixion some hot seat questions when Ace came back early.

“Baby, dad asked me to go to his office. I’ll go ahead first, okay?” he asked softly, like he is scared that Ixion would say no.

He kissed Ixion’s forehead and faced us who’s been watching what they are doing. I don’t know if it’s just me or if my eyes caught something dirt, but Ace stared at me for more than a second before looking at my other two friends.

Well, I can’t blame him, the beauty surrounds me and God made me uniquely.

“Uh… I have to go first everyone. I still have something to take care of. I can set a date where we can all hang out, and I'll be able to know more my baby’s friends. Is it okay with you all?” My friends were about to refuse, but I immediately took the courage to catch the bomb which made Ixion happy.

Why are these people so mad of him? As far as I know, we only met Ace just today, so it’s impossible and childish on how they were acting.

“Baby, text me when you get home.. Thanks for the time, everyone. And nice meeting you all,” he said with a smile on his face, and walked to the glass door of this restaurant.

“Okay, bye,” we all exclaimed at the same time.

“Jinx!” we said the same time again.

“Stop it, guys!” stated Ixion, while still eating.

I frowned when I saw that she no longer join us, but I was more shocked when Michelle took the spoon out of Ixion’s mouth.

Michelle is a literally brutal girl. Ixion is still eating. For God’s sake with this girl. I hope that Ixion’s teeth is intact hard.

“Michelle!” Ixion sulked when her foods was taken away from her.

It took the all the costumers attention that I just hid my face using the menu as they are still bickering with each other.

They better get everything away from Ixion, but not her foods.

They all stopped when Leigh voiced a word.

“So, Ixion, where did you meet that guy?” Leigh asked, while her eyes are throwing daggers to Ixion.

“Ah! Leigh,” she cutely pouted, and faced us. “You are all scary! Sissy Michelle, help!” Ixion sated, while snaking her hands through the arm of Michelle.

We looked at Ixion like we were about to throw some knives into her face, but except Michelle, who just smile.

Michelle always treats Ixion as a little girl that we are sure that Ixion would ask for her help. Ixion is younger than us, that we looked at her as a child.

As far as I wanted to believe my observation that Michelle likes Ace, I still believe that our friendship matters the most to her. I hope so.

I really don’t like Ixion’s boyfriend and I felt something fishy about him, however I should trust Ixion.

“Victoria Leigh and Kendra, stop bullying our baby. Our youngest is already a lady. And that boy is handsome, so nothing to worry about it,” Michelle stated as she stroke the hair of Ixion.

“F*ck you, Michelle! Call me one more time from my first name. I’ll choke you until you begged for your life.”

Leigh’s aura changes as she hears that she was called by her first name. She hates it when someone calls her that way. I don’t know why what’s her reason, but her name is beautiful. What's wrong with it?

We just laughed on how she’s acting. When Ixion broke it.

“Sis, Ace is only mine, okay?” she asked for assurance in front of Michelle.

I furrowed my brows as I looked at Michelle whose in the right side of Ixion. Does Ixion feels that Michelle likes her boyfriend?

Ixion held her hand and smile again.

“And always remember, we will never fight because of just a man, okay?” I reminded them as nervousness creeped in my whole body. I am scared.

I can feel it.

Girls instincts are 96% percent accurate. Michelle likes Ace. Damn it.

I won’t let that guy ruin our friendship.

Never.
