HIS PAST RELATIONSHIP

I just came back from the bathroom after I took a bath. While I was still wearing a Bathrobe I picked up my iPad to check out the latest article here. When I looked at the newly released article, Geneva’s face immediately appeared on it.

Since Geneva, the woman I love cheated and hurt me, I have never experienced being happy even for a moment. I finally realized that I'm so stupid to let my heart fall in love with her even though there's another woman who more deserves it.

“IT'S CONFIRMED! ACTRESS GENEVA EVANGELISTA AND RAFAEL SAN JUAN ARE DATING!”

My morning was immediately ruined when I read the Headline of the article where it stated that Geneva had already confirmed her relationship with the man she exchanged with me.

My blood was high even more when I remember that she never want to confirm our relationship in the public before even though many people noticed us.

“What the hell is this article?!”

I was so angry that's why I turned my madness on my iPad, so I could suddenly throw it away. I just wiped my face with my hand while my eyes couldn't stop their tears.

«SEC. MENDOZA calling ...»

I immediately picked up my cellphone lying on my bed and answered my secretary's call.

“I'm sorry, Sir, but I can't accompany you later on your school field trip. I have to accompany the Chairman today on his Bussiness Trip to Hawaii because his secretary filed a lea—”

I didn't finish what he said and I quickly turned off my cellphone. I feel like everyone around me wants to stay away. I couldn’t understand why I had to experience all of this.

All my life, I have been good to them but they have rewarded me with treachery. I don't know if I have anyone else to trust.

“Okay, I’m nearly there, but there's s traffic here because the road is still being repaired,” I answered Bren's call.

I had been stocked in traffic aboard a Porsche for almost an hour. I was the only one they were waiting for our field trip.

Shortly, after I talked to Bren, the traffic gradually widened, so I stepped on the cylinder of my sports car. Because I was driving so fast in my car, I didn't notice that there was a woman walking on the road, so I didn't immediately step on the brake and I collided with her.

“Damn it !!” I whispered nervously with shock.

I quickly got out of my car and approached the woman I accidentally collided with because of my haste.

“Miss, Are you okay?” I asked confused.

When I realized that she had lost consciousness, I no doubt to lifted the woman in front of many people. I quickly put her in my car to go to the hospital, but I thought it was a big scandal in our company when it came out in the news so I decided to bring her to my house.

I immediately call my Auntie who's the Foundation Director of the Hospital we own. She is also a doctor and Mom's older sister, I hope she can help me with this mess.

“What's happening, why did you get called me?” there was concern in her voice.

It's a good thing because the woman wasn't hurt so much and Auntie treated her right away because if not, the media will chase me tomorrow and what's worse, I might be imprisoned.

“I have treated all her wounds as well as the gunshot wound at her right shoulder.” Auntie's said.

Suddenly my forehead furrowed when I found out that the woman had a gunshot on her shoulder but I didn't care anymore, all I need now is to wait until the woman recover before she ruined my life.

“By the way, you can transfer her to our Hospital if—”

“No, it might be a big trouble if Dad knows about it.” I refuse.

Dad shouldn't know what stupidity I did because we're surely fighting over it.

“Isn't your field trip today?” Auntie asked me.

“I'm not coming anymore, I won't get anything out of it either.” my sarcastic response.

She sighed first at me and finally said goodbye.

“I'm leaving, just tell me right away when she wakes up.” her favor.

After that, she left quickly. I just sat on the sofa after she get to leave because I thought that I escaped the stupidity I did today. All I had to do was erase the footage of the accident.

I had no choice but to go directly to the Barangay Hall which covers the scene of the accident. Wearing my expensive bomber jacket, black hat, and pants I went to Barangay Hall and I no doubt bribed the CCTV Operator there to remove the footage.

The woman I bumped into will be unconscious for three days and I also haven't been to school for three days because I don't want to see the face of the woman who cheated on me.

I get sick every time I think that she just used me to have a sponsor for the movie she's starring in.

“What are you doing there?” I asked the woman sarcastically when I saw her in the kitchen.

I wouldn't see if she's woken up if I hadn't left my room and gone to the kitchen to get snacks to eat.

There was a look of shock on her face when she turned to me.

“I'm sorry, Sir, but I just want to know where I am.” there was hesitation in the tone of her speech.

I know that she knows everything, she also knows that she’s not in the hospital so why does she have to ask where she is?

I'm annoyed with people who don't use their brains and only apply ignorance. And one more thing, what I hate the most of all is the people who don't directly answer my question to them like this woman.

“It's obvious you know that you're not in Hospital.” I sarcastically reply. “I asked you first, 'what are you doing there?', but you question me either,” I added.

She smiled slightly at me with embarrassment before answering.

“I sincerely apologize for that, I just want to know where I am and how I got here,” she replied softly.

I don't know if this woman doesn't remember anything that she suddenly crossed the road without thinking or if she was just a lunatic.

“If you're hungry, there are slices of bacon and some foods in a refrigerator that you can eat as my apology for what I did to you,” I said. “Later, your doctor will come here to check you up and after that, you can leave my house.” I continue.

After we talked, I immediately left in front of her and just went back to my room. When I entered my room, my cellphone suddenly rang in my pocket.

«GENEVA calling ...»

This woman has a thick face to call me after the deception she committed. I couldn’t understand why I would have loved a woman like her who only loved me for money.

“Didn't anyone sponsor your show so you're calling me today?” I asked her sarcastically when I chose to answer her call.

“I just want to have...a proper closure between the two of us,” she replied calmly.

I suddenly slightly laughed at what she said. After she made me like a fool, will she now ask for closure from me? How ridiculous!

“Are you kidding?” I replied sarcastically.

“I just want us to talk at the restaurant we went to before.”

“For what? For Closure? For your apology? Sorry, but I don't want to waste my time on that.” I replied emphatically and I immediately ended our conversation.

My ears tingle every time I hear her voice. I can say that I still have some feelings left for her because our past relationship is not easy to forget, but now anger is more dominant in my heart because of what she did to me.

It's been eight months since she cheated on me but I still can't just forget about that. I still don’t understand why she was able to fool me. The wound she made in my heart is still fresh and I don’t know if it will be able to heal.

-EIGHT MONTHS AGO-

“I bet, she will be happy when she sees your surprise for your second monthsary,” said James.

“I hope so.” I just smiled.

Ever since I and Geneva had a relationship, I felt every day that I'm the luckiest man in the world. There was never a time when I didn't smile every time I was with her, even if it was just a secret relationship between the two of us.

This is our second monthsary and I want this day to be very special for us, so I prepared it. I temporarily closed Dad’s expensive restaurant first to make a Romantic reception of our monthsary date here.

This is Geneva's favorite restaurant but she doesn't know that my Dad is the owner of it. I waited patiently for Geneva because I was sure that she would be a little late because of their shooting for her upcoming movie.

It was eleven o'clock in the evening but I seemed to be waiting for nothing. I texted her earlier that we would meet here before eight o'clock but three hours had passed away and I was still able to wait for her.

GENEVA: Sorry, I just saw your text recently so I didn't go there. Can we meet tomorrow at our favorite restaurant? Good night!

I was almost crushed when I read her message because she seemed to have forgotten our second monthsary today.

“Uh, I see...I understand. I love you and sweet dreams.” I sadly replied to her.

Aside from the fact that she forgot our Monthsary, she also forgot to tell me the word 'I LOVE YOU' that she always told me before. I notice that she was cold with me.

I seem to have been feeling bad today since I woke up. I just thought maybe it was because of what happened last night. When I woke up earlier, I immediately checked the inbox of my cellphone to see if Geneva had texted me but I did not receive even a single message from her.

It used to be that notifications from her message always woke me up every morning so I feel like she's changing now.

When I entered the school, I immediately went to the Room where Geneva's section was to take a peek at her but I saw that her seat was vacant today.

“It's only now that Geneva is absent, even though she used to be too busy on her taping before, she's always present at our class.”

“Idi*t! her manager said, she's sick now. ”

“Really?”

When I heard the whispers of her classmates about her, I hurried to get in my car. While driving to the condominium where she lives, I realized that maybe she didn't show up for our monthsary date last night because she was sick.

But why she didn't even tell me that she was sick?

I was even more in a hurry to drive because of too much worry I feel for her.

A few moments later, I reached the parking lot of their condominium building and quickly parked my car. Just as I was about to leave, I saw Geneva with her leading man in her upcoming movie approaching a car not far from where I had parked with a companion.

I was directly shocked when I saw that she kissed the man on the lips so I could not hold back and I got out of my car to confront them both.

“It's fun for being sick, isn't it?” I confronted them with my loud voice which grabbed their attention. There was a look of shock on their faces as if they had seen a ghost.

“Tim, I'll explain—” she tried to explain, but I refused it and I couldn't control myself anymore so I suddenly gave the man a hard punch in the face.

Geneva quickly intervened between us and seemed to be protecting her man.

“Stop it, Timothy!! Please, Stop it!! ” abduction of Geneva.

I suddenly controlled myself and breathed deeply.

“Tell me, I just got it wrong, didn't I? Isn't what I'm thinking wrong?” I'm quite hesitant about what she'll answer.

My world almost collapsed when she answered my question while crying. “I'm so sorry, Timothy...sorry..”

I backed away slightly and suddenly the tears I was holding back dripped from my eyes. I couldn't speak anymore and I quickly got back in my car and drove it quickly to get away from them. I thought before that she haven't a reason to cheat on me but I regret my complacency with her.

We were friends for seven years and we had a relationship for two months but she still managed to hurt me. I'm regretting that I trusted a woman like her.

Now, I don't know if there's a woman that deserves to trust because of what happened to me before. I feel like all the women I meet now only want my money so because of that, I prefer to play with them. And I think the money that they got from me is worth it for their feelings.

I wouldn't let my kindness be my weakness anymore, so they can't take that as an advantage against me. I'm no longer the Timothy they know before, who can fool by a woman.
