Episode 8

What hurts more than the words themselves is who says them, and that's what struck Antonella to her core.

"Dad, why are you doing this to me? What did I do to deserve this?" Antonella spoke with tears in her eyes, looking at her father with pleading eyes.

"What did you do? You existed, that's what you did. I don't love you; ever since you were born, I've only felt contempt for you. Is that what you wanted to hear?" Her father's words pierced Antonella's heart, and she couldn't help but break down in tears. She glanced towards Rosario and her daughter, seeing a cruel and satisfied smile on their faces as they witnessed Antonella being humiliated and crushed.

That night marked Antonella's life. It was a date, a day, and a few hours where her whole life shattered because of her own family and boyfriend.

First, her boyfriend betrayed her with her stepsister, and then her father humiliated her in the worst possible way, simply for trying to speak the truth to people who didn't deserve to breathe the same air as she did.

"Oh, and one more thing... You have another gift in the music room," her father said.

"What have you done, Dad?!" Antonella rushed towards the music room and found everything shattered. Her favorite instruments were destroyed.

"Why did you do this, Dad?!" Antonella cried out.

"This is so you'll learn not to insult Rosario," her father replied, consumed by anger and the venom that Rosario had planted in him. Despite everything, he would always be on her side.

That poor young woman, abused by her cruel family, would never know what it means to smile again or taste the sweetness of happiness.

Antonella headed to her room and locked herself in. She stared at the door for a while, tears streaming down her face.

Rosario and Zoraya were satisfied, witnessing Antonella completely shattered. They were vile in every sense of the word.

Antonella felt her phone vibrating in her purse. She opened it and saw a message from Harry.

That message completely destroyed her.

"We're done, I'm sorry, I found someone better."

That was the message from the bastard Harry, who had taken her to heaven and then dropped her back down.

Upon seeing the message, she dropped the heels she was still holding in her hand, threw the phone on the bed, and started searching through the drawers for the piano sheet music she had composed for Harry. With tears streaming down her face, she tore them to pieces.

She had prepared a song with so much love for his birthday, but from that moment on, she decided never to touch a piano again for the rest of her life.

She lay on her bed, embracing her pillow, which was her only companion to cry on in that moment.

She wept bitterly, holding her chest. She was damp and lying in bed, but she didn't care at that moment.

Her family had completely destroyed her in just one night. Her life shattered into irreparable pieces.

What does one do in such a moment, when the pain cuts deep into one's soul?

Countless daggers were thrust deep into Antonella's being. The sparkle in her eyes faded, and her joyful smile disappeared. She was no longer herself; she seemed like a prisoner of the pain, dead inside.

They destroyed that beautiful, cheerful young woman. Antonella's life became dark and suffocating, filled with darkness.

She inflicted harm upon herself by giving her all to people who didn't deserve it. Being a good person doesn't mean enduring everything, but she did the opposite.

She never thought that her boyfriend, who showed her so much love, would be seduced by a lustful woman. All she could gather from this was that what she considered love was merely a habit.

The gentlest horses are the ones that deliver the hardest blow, due to the trust they receive. The same goes for people like Harry. She let love blind her, not realizing she was heading towards a cliff.

He made illusions of having a future with him, but it only stayed as plans, none of which were in Harry's expectations. The only one who gave everything was Antonella, and that was a big mistake on her part that is now taking its toll on her pain...

Sometimes it's good to go through a disappointment in order to open your eyes and close your heart... And if you love again, don't give everything to someone else who may eventually leave...

Antonella was so physically and mentally destroyed that she had no strength left to cry. The bruises on her face caused by her father didn't hurt as much as his words, which pierced her heart like sharp daggers...

That poor and innocent girl fell asleep from crying so much, due to the torment of bitter betrayal and humiliation she endured on that dark night, like a servant being devoured by hyenas...
