Chapter 001

The young boy body shuddered as winter came. Using his small, chubby hands, he wrapped himself tighter with the thin sheet of cloth.

As the temperature dropped even further, the young boy's body started to freeze. Soon his feet could no longer to felt and was stiff. His hands were also starting to feel hard. His lips were no longer as red as before and was, instead, replaced with cracked lips. His hair was already frozen into ice, which was barely melting from the boy's body temperature.

The young boy wailed and cried. He chocked multiple times and started coughing like crazy. His wailing echoed in the small shed, which was currently filled with snow. The snow level soon rose, covering the young boy's whole body, suffocating him. The young boy waved his hands as hard as he could, but his hands were frozen.

The young boy wailed even louder upon feeling the pressure of the snow pressing against him as well as the frostbite.

He was in a very desperate situation. Snow fell into his mouth but due to the fact that his body temperature was not high enough, the snow continued to travel down into his lungs. Feeling a sudden cold feeling in his lungs, the young boy immediately started to gasp for air.

At that instance, a red aura emerged from the boy's body and wrapped itself around the boy. The snow melted in less than a second and the young boy's limb started to somehow be able to function normally again. His cries stopped as he felt the red aura provide him with warmth. He quietly sucked his thumb as he dosed away in the cold winter, enveloped in the red aura.

The red aura, as though wanting to protect the young boy, made sure that as soon as snow touched it, the snow will melt away immediately. With that, the young boy was able to keep himself from freezing to death.

However, warmth was not his only problem he had. He still lacked food and water. And slowly, as time passed, the red aura started to diminish. This meant that right now he lacked even more things. The red aura now no longer had the ability to shield the young boy from the cold weather any longer.

Strangely, the young boy did not feel hungry for quite a long period of time. His first experience of hunger was after approximately eighteen days later. He felt a stinging pain in his stomach and his two canines grew to quite a considerable length. His eyes were also glowing brighter than before.

He crawled out of the shed to search for food. He stumbled multiple times but continued his journey regardless. As he crawled, his piece of cloth dragged behind him. On his way of searching food, he coincidentally met the three-eyed crow.

As the name suggests, the bird has three-eyed crow has three eyes located at the top, right and left side of its face. Their length vary from 3 feet to as long as 8 foot and its weight have a range of 3kg to 80kg. The three-eyed crow that was currently in front of the young boy was considered quite big, with a length of 5 feet and a weight of 20kg. It was a carnivore and often liked to feed on small living things. When it determines that it cannot win against something, it will run away through flying. Its natural predator is the two-tailed snake. An adult three-eyed crow can take up up to 3 human adults.

Seeing its ideal food causally 'walking' towards it, the three-eyed crow immediately flapped its wings and started to charge towards the young boy. The young boy's eyes lit up and with a slap of his hand, the crow collapsed on the snow.

A shocking display of power. The young boy crawled towards the shaking crow and with his bare hands, ripped the crow in two. Blood spewed all over the young boy's face. He barely flinched and bit into the crow. His fangs sunk into the flesh of the three-eyed crow and blood flowed into his mouth. The young boy, instead of feeling disgusted, showed a sense of satisfaction. After his meal, he like dhis lips and proceeded back to his small shed.

Just like this, everyday he 'hunted' a new animal, ranging from the three-eyed crow to the eight-beaked Eagle.
