A genuinely worried voice ranged from other side of phone. Regina just stared. After a moment not hearing any voice the older man again speak his voice turned little hoarse and panicked can't be hidden.

Regina [FL]

I'm fine big brother.

She come out of her daze and replied in sweet gentle voice like soothing a child.

Regina [FL]

I just sat down to study and forget about time. Sorry for making you worry for nothing.

She said in apologetic voice sounded bit sad for making older man worried for nothing.

She then heard a soft chuckle from other side.

Your still student. I understand.

He said in understanding voice and asked her if she wanted a leave for evening shift .

Regina [FL]

No! It's alright.

Don't worry! I won't cut your pay you'll get today's pay together next weekend.

Older man added as if understanding that Regina think if she won't work she won't get her pay . He was very gentle when convincing regina . She finally gave after little chat they ended the call.

Regina immediately plop on ground since it was soft mattress below it's didn't to much blow to her .

{I can tell that they are genuinely kind to 'me'. I thought they must have ulterior motives since they were being excessively kind but after speaking with them myself I can tell. }

{I from my long experience in that trash world have learnt to read people and their tone that I proudly can say i have never wronged in my judgement of people just by seeing their behaviour,and listening from their tone i can tell easily. I have honed this skill to mastery level.}

She slowly drifted to sleep her breath was very faint and even mixing with surrounding as if their is no one present completely hiding herself in stealth like an assassin . It was like another nature of her being extremely careful of everything she just couldn't stop herself from leaving her old habits easily.

Like they say "Old Habits Die Hard".

She slept until night come. She slowly open her eyes before calmly walking to sink washing her face.

After that she got ready to go for her part-time job.

Before joining her shift she decided to buy herself something to ease her hunger . She bought herself a cheap sandwich walking munching on it with delightful face.

{It's surprisingly tasty.}

She enjoyed her cheap sandwich as if it's something amazing. In post apocalyptic world food such as this cheap sandwich were very expensive and taste was not even half great as this one she was currently having.




