(Third Person's Point of View (POV))

[Fifteen years ago]

*Click* *Bang*

"Oh... My dear sweet puppy is awake now." A mother called his son. The kid simply smile to her. "Hungry my baby boy?" ask the mother. The kid, Charles, nodded he's head and run to his mother's embrace. The mother giggle on how cute he is.

Charles was happy, he ate, he laugh and even having fun with his mother. He really love his mother. The mother loves him so much.

Then, the front door open and a figure enters the house. The smile of the kid grew wider as he saw his father coming in. "Papa, you're home!" Charles giggled and the man picked him up.

"Does my little dew drop missed me?" the man tickled him gently. Charles laughed and hugged his father. "Aww, you guys already prepared breakfast? That's so sweet...!" the man exclaim and cuddle up with Charles.

"Come on you two... Breakfast are ready." the mother called. She looked at them with a smile on her face. The laughing eyes from the father and the little kid. She felt tears falling on her eyes as she was very happy that she have them.

[Five years later]

Then, a tragic accident came... Charles walking back to the house. Then, a group of people surrounded their house. And, he heard a faint scream coming from their house. He run towards the house and saw his mother got burned into ashes and his father hanged up to a rope to death. His father give him a last word: "Run..." then the father died, unable to breath.

He run and run... Tears were falling from his eyes. Questions filled his mind: "Why, why why??? Why did this people killed my parents? Did we do something wrong that they hate us?"

He couldn't accept the bitter truth... He didn't even know who he really is... A human with no strength, no power to do to save his family. A weak boy... "I'm just a weak kid... Why? Why'd you take them away...?"

Then months later... He was now at an orphanage. Looking at the window, admiring the sunset. And, he heard a knock from the door. He turned around and say: "C-come in..." The door slowly open.

"May I have a word with you?" the person asked. Charles just nodded his head in response. The woman enter the room. "Are you okay sweetie?" the woman asked. Charles didn't answer. "Sigh... I know it's hurts a lot but, moping around isn't gonna help you. You need to get out and have some fresh air." the woman suggested. He just looked down and tears fall down from his eyes.

The woman just sighed and walked to him, pet his head and leave him alone. He cried, tears falling from his eyes again. "I... Don't want to be alone... Why?" he asked again and again. "Mom, dad... Why'd you leave me so soon? I-I'm scared." He cried and cried.

Then one day... Someone offer him something. The person asked: "Why are you crying lil' kid? Does someone bully or hurt you??" Charles looked up to the man. He simply nodded. Well, it's not a man. His the same age as him. Yeah yeah, they're the same age but, not the kind.

"Did someone bullied you? Tell me and I beat them to death!"

"A-ahh, no... No, don't. Please, don't do that." Charles begged the guy to not do that. The guy simply smile and pet him.

"Hehe, fine. I'll do what you wanted me to do..."

"Come on kid... Let's go."

"H-hey... We're the same age... And don't call me a kid..." Charles pouted and followed him obediently. The guy just chuckled and pet him.

"Okay okay, don't pout 'cause it's cute...!" Charles blushed and run ahead. "Hehe, what a cute human...!" the guy chuckled and walked behind Charles.

"Umm... Somehow... I didn't get your name... W-what's your name?" Charles shyly asked the guy.

The guy smiled and Pet him. "My name is Adrian Smith. You can call me, Rian." the guy somehow happy that Charles asked him he's name.

"Umm... B-by the way... My name's, Charlie South. Well, E-everyone call me Charles or lil' Shen." he said and Adrian giggled.

"Kawaii... Your name is so cute." after hearing that, Charles blushed... He looks like a tomato. "So... You'll be my brother, hmm?" Charles looked up and felt so happy.

"A-ahh... I-I... Don't know."

"Or maybe you want more than that..."

"Huh!? What do you mean by that?" he don't understand what Adrian talking about. A smile plastered on Adrian's face and pet him.

"Never mind..."

Chapter 2

Somehow, Charles keep thinking of what Adrian was trying to say to him.

I don't understand why he wanted me to be his brother or more than that? What is he trying to say... I really don't understand him. Am I misunderstanding something? Anyway... He said he wanted me to meet his family... I'm so scared. I don't know what to say or do. Sigh, I hope I don't screw things up.

He followed him Adrian to where the North side of the castle. 'Why'd he bring me here? It's a damn good palace.' Adrian notice Charles was zoning out. "Hey, it'll be fine. Just relax, hm'kay?" Charles nodded he's head and followed Adrian.

They reach a door. Adrian opened the door to where his family were. Charles somehow felt embarrassed, shy 'cause he never seen people outside. Or talked to people before. "Ahh!! My dear sweet son is finally here. And... Who might this kid be?"

A stranger ask and looked towards Charles. He felt embarrassed and he hide behind Rian. Adrian chuckle and pulled Charles gentle. "This is... Charlie South..."
