Although the name did sound cringy, the summary was powerful enough to pique Wan Mei's interest.
Starting with the tragic life of the crown prince, the male lead and his ascend to the throne, to his meeting with the herione and their relationship progress, along with obstacles in their way.
One of such obstacles was the villainess, Li Shenyou. Bratty and rude as she was, she grew insecure of a particular incident. Bullying her step sister was her daily task. She fell for the male lead at first sight and removed every obstacle in his way with her gifted, top notch martial art skills

She did your typical villainess acts - Bully the heroine, kidnapping etc. Her end was quite brutal. The one to torment her most was Gong Jue- the second male lead.
