The next morning, Brooks woke up feeling on cloud 9
She checked the time on her phone and saw she woke up on time
Happy, she had a bath and actually sorted out what she would wear

Do I pack my hair up or leave it down?
She stared into the mirror, looking at both styles and decided to pack it up
Brooks
Gotta go for the more professional look
She used her spare time to water her plants and tidy up her living room
Brooks
I'll call Sam and check in on her morning
She took out her phone and dialled her friend's number
Brooks waited a while till the person on the other side finally picked up
Samantha
Huh? Who is this?
Samantha
I know I know, you never wake up early so it came as a shock to me
Brooks
I'm about ready to leave, where should me meet up?
Samantha
The cafe seems good, we can get coffee for the others too
Samantha
Did something happen to you? You seem kind of happy
Brooks
When am I ever in a bad mood?
Both women laughed over the phone for a while, enjoying the joke
Samantha
See you there then
Brooks couldn't stop the pounding of her heart, she thought she would be able to hide her rendezvous from everyone

If I can't even lie to Sam, then I'm finished!
Brooks arrived later than expected
Samantha
Don't blame the traffic
Sam could easily detect the glow on her friend's face, something had definitely happened
Samantha
So...spill the tea
Brooks
*Fumbles with her hair*
Samantha
I'mma smack you with my slipper if you don't stop acting coy with me
Samantha
Did you meet someone?
Samantha
Did you take him home?
Brooks
You're too creative, you should have been a writer instead of a pianist
Samantha
Am right aren't I?
Samantha
My intuition never fails
Brooks stood up to the counter and ordered four coffees, desperate to avoid the conversation

You're even blushing!
Samantha
Now I have to know about this! What's his name?
Brooks
Um...that I don't know
The stun on Samantha's face rivalled that of someone who had just seen a live ghost
Samantha
You don't frickin know?
Brooks

Samantha
Is this guy from some dating site?
Samantha
You're better than that Brooks!
Brooks
Trust me, I'm not chatting with a creepy old man. He's real
Samantha
I like the sound of that
Brooks rolled her eyes at her and readily took the four capucinos
counter girl

Brooks and Samantha happily left the cafe and headed for the studio. Where Brooks got a major shock!
