The Arrival of Rudra

(Airport , City B)

Sae Hyun looks up for her anticipated flight in the arrivals board and sees that the flight is 15 minutes late. She takes out a board with the letters 'R U D R A' written on it. She puts on her earphone and opens Listenify app. She then selects a podcast related to the epic Mahabharata and starts listening to it.

Soon her anticipated flight lands and she raises her board looking for Rudra. As her earphone plays the following verse:-

Yada Yada hi Dharmasya , Glanir Bhavati bharataha . Abhyuttanam dharmasya tadattmanam srijmayam.

Sae Hyun sees a 5'8" man approaching towards her. The man has a dark skin and a muscular build. He is clad in a black jacket , white T shirt and black pants. He wears sunglasses and has a long hair.

The Verse continues , 'Paritranaya Sadhunam , Vinaashaya cha dushkruttham; Dharma Sansthapanaathaya Sambhavami Yuge Yuge.'

The rain outside stops and the sun shines bright. Sae Hyun stands looking at the man in awe and surprise. The man gently taps her shoulder and says, "Earth to Girl , Hi"

Sae Hyun shakes herself out of the trance she was in and says, "Hello, Rudra. Welcome to country O." Rudra smiles and says, "Thank you. Which Hyun are you?"

Sae Hyun replies, "I..I am Sae Hyun. Nice to meet you." Rudra nods and says, "The pleasure is mine. I suppose it's your sister, Jeong Ji Hyun who talked to me over phone."

Sae Hyun nods in agreement. She says, "Our city is a 5 hour long drive from here. We will travel by my car. We van stop on road for brunch if you want."

Rudra says, "Sure, why not . Now we better hurry, coz I am famished."

They both get in the car and drive off.

Rudra looks at a figurine on the car dashboard. "Vasudeva Krishna," he mutters. Sae Hyun nods and says, "He is my favourite from the epic Mahabharata . Have you read those epics?"

Rudra smiles and says, "Lady, I am from country B. I have read different versions of Mahabharata."

Sae's eyes widen. She asks," Wait, there are different versions of it?" Still smiling, Rudra says, "Concentrate on driving."

Sae nods and continues driving. Soon they arrive near a cafe and she momentarily stops the car. However on seeing motorcycles parked near it, she turns towards Rudra and says in a rather uncomfortable tone," Uhh...this cafe is problematic .....let's go to the next one, okay??"

Completely aware of the situation, Rudra gets out of the car and says," I will be back in 5 minutes." He calmly walks into the cafe , ignoring a shouting Sae Hyun.

Rudra looks inside the cafe and find 4 gang members threatening the owner of the small cafe. He also sees a member behaving inappropriately towards one of the owner's sisters who work there. He calmly walks towards the order counter and motions one of the staff working there. She attends to him in a nervous tone. With a shaking voice, she asks, " What can I do for you?" Rudra smiles and says, "Get me four packets of Ways Potato chips and a box of tetra pack juices while I handle these punks."

The staff nods and goes inside. Rudra yawns and stretches his arms. He claps his fists and says," I am going to enjoy this."  He calmly walks towards the gang leader and separates him from the cafe owner. He faces the leader and asks," What's the matter?" The Gang leader replies," It's none of your business, foreigner scum. This is my territory and I can do anything here." Rudra sighs and says," In one of the religions back in my country, it's said that lust, greed and arrogance are the worst of sins and are the origin of other sins. You clearly are lustful towards the poor guy's sister. You are greedy for the poor owner's money and you are arrogant judging by the way you just spoke to me."

The leader laughs and says," so what?" Rudra grabs his shirt collar and says," You have 10 seconds to **** off before this gets to where you don't want it to be."

The leader mocks," Or else?" Rudra sighs and lets go of his collar. He then slaps the leader. The other members attack Rudra who makes a quick work of them. He grabs one and judo flips him on the other. He kicks the third one and then jumps to grab his arm. He proceeds to ask one of the owner's sisters," Did he touch you?" The girl nods and points towards her chest. Rudra growls in rage and breaks the member's arm who screams in agony. He grabs the member by his head and smashes it on the nearby table, knocking the member out. The other two attack Rudra. Rudra blocks one and sidekick's the other. He pins the first guy towards the wall and punches his spine. The member screams in agony. Meanwhile, the second member tries attacking Rudra with a chair. Rudra ducks and the chair his the first guy, knocking him out. Rudra grabs the second guy and slams him onto a table, breaking it and knocking him out. He then turns towards the leader who cowers in fear. Rudra laughs at the leader and asks," What's wrong? Is it fear? Do you wanna go back to your mommy?"

Willing his fear aside, the leader attacks Rudra only to be punched in the face. Rudra lands two more punches on his abdomen and kicks him , sending him flying through the door. The leader stumbles and falls near Sae Hyun who utters in surprise, "What. The. ****."

Rudra turns towards the owner and apologizes for the losses. He pays up for the chips packets, juices and the loss he caused. He walks up towards the gang leader and warns," If I find you here , tormenting innocent people, I will rip both of your arms and slap you with them. Get me?"

The leader nods in fear and runs off. Rudra hands one chips packet to Sae Hyun and says," Pick up your favorite juice flavor." Sae Hyun picks apple flavored juice and both get in the car and drive off.

Sae Hyun looks at Rudra with shock and awe while Rudra enjoys his packet of extra spicy chips while sipping a litchi flavored juice. She says," Kanaya was right. You indeed are a weird as **** man. Dude, aren't you afraid of anything? I was shouting not to go in but you still went in , caused a mayhem and now you are drinking juice as if nothing happened."

Rudra laughs and says," You saw what happened with those goons right? They got bashed." Sae Hyun asks," What if they had more people? What if they had weapons?"

Rudra says," I have fought people before, Sae Hyun. I appreciate your concern but I am a top grade practical martial artist and self defense coach. I have fought many people back in my country. It's nice knowing that you show concern to people you met just hours ago. This shows your kindness, doesn't it?"

Sae Hyun blushes a bit. She shakes her head and shouts," That's not important right now." Rudra smiles and says," well for me that is important." Sae Hyun raises her eyebrows and asks," Are you hitting on me?" Rudra laughs and says," I am just praising for your good nature."

Sae Hyun smiles. She asks," You look muscular. I just wanna...you know....." Rudra smiles and says," You wanna know my workout schedule, right?? Well I workout daily. I am a martial artist. I practice Adimurai and Kuthuvarisai . Both of them are ancient martial arts."

Sae Hyun says," Okay.."

Three hours into driving, they stop in front of another Cafe.

"My sister and a friend named Lia are inside. You can go and meet them while I park my car, ", Sae says .

Rudra nods and walks inside the cafe. He sees a brown haired woman waving at him. Rudra goes to that table and says , "Hello, are you Ji Hyun?"

The woman nods and says , "Hi , I am Ji Hyun and nice to meet you. This is Lia Jones."

Lia waves at Rudra. Rudra smiles and says , "the honor is mine."

Sae walks inside the cafe and comes near their table. Rudra pulls out a chair and points at it . He says , "After you , lady."

Sae smiles and sits on the chair. Rudra sits on the adjacent chair.

Lia says , "Awww, you are  such a  gentleman."

Rudra smiles . Ji asks , "So how are you finding country O ,so far?"

He replies , "It's cool." Sae Hyun says," Pretty cool for a man who just thrashed four goons an hour ago."

Ji Hyun asks," Sorry, what was that?" Rudra says," Nothing much. I beat up a few miscreants."

A woman arrives and sits on a chair adjacent to Rudra.

Rudra points towards the new woman and says , "I have seen you before. Are you....do you know who's Jihoo?"

The woman asks , "Which Jihoo? Like there are supposed to be countless Jihoos in this country."

Rudra pulls out his phone and opens a social media app. He shows the picture of a man and asks her , "Do you know this guy?",

The woman says , "yes . I am his cousin. I am Ji A. How do you know......wait are you his martial arts teacher ? Like he told me once that his teacher's name is Rudra and he used to send some queries on this app...",

Rudra nods his head. He says , "He came to my home country searching for inner peace and I taught him Adimurai."

(Mall near crime scene , City S.)

Jihoo and Snow walk inside the mall. Snow says , "I just recieved the information that the stores connected to the gang building have detained all the people they had during the time of murder. This will help us solve the case."

Jihoo nods his head. All of a sudden , he notices someone running down into the parking lot.

He says to Snow," Get up there and set up the interrogation procedure. I will be back in a minute."

Snow asks , "Why...what happened??"

Jihoo replies , "Just do it." He runs behind the escapee

Jihoo follows the escapee and manages to hold him in the parking lot.

He asks \, "2 questions . Why were you running and why are you wearing a f***ing mask?"

The escapee replies , "I thought you were a brilliant detective , Jihoo. You should have figured out who I am."

He asks , "Are you the culprit?",

The escapee replies ," Yes . Brilliant deduction , officer."

Jihoo grits his teeth and says , "Do you think this is some kind of a joke? Like I will believe if someone like you just says that you massacred an entire gang? I am asking you nicely , surrender yourself and confess the truith."

The escapee replies ,"Or what? You will make me to? I would like to see that happen."

Jihoo attacks the escapee. Both engage in brief but quick fist fight.

The escapee manages to hit Jihoo on the back of his head and he falls unconscious.

The escapee runs away , shouting , "I am not a bad guy officer. I am just giving them back the pain they once caused me."

Jihoo blacks out .

Luxury colony , City S.

Sae Hyun , Rudra , Ji Hyun , Lia and Ji A drive back in City S to the colony they all live in.

Sae Hyun says , "The third floor , 304 , is where Erika San lives and that's where you are gonna live. Meet you back in the evening."

Rudra asks , "Where is Kanaya san's clinic?" Sae Hyun replies , "Down the road and to the right."

Rudra asks , "Can you tell Erika san I would be there in 20?"Sae nods.

Rudra moves towards the directions Sae pointed to. He soon finds Kanaya's clinic and knocks on the door.

"May I come in? Or are you busy?" he asks. "Come in , " Kanaya replies .

Kanaya's eyes widen as she looks at Rudra walking in. She quickly moves towards the door and closes it.

She then looks towards Rudra and bows down. "Greetings , Your Majesty. I am glad to see you here."

Rudra smiles.
