The perfect judge

The figure slowly turned to face us. The sight almost made me gasp, His skin was as pale as porcelain, his eyes was glowing like a rainbow and upon his head grew two curled horns , his inhuman beauty left me staring in awe

(Is that a dragonkin)

I’ve never seen one in person until now!, Though they possessed tremendous magical power and lived lengthy lives......their numbers were few due to their kind being burdened by infertility

The Headmaster:"A pleasure to meet you. My name is Rembrandt."

......

Rembrandt:"Do not fear. The blood of dragons may run through me, but I will not snarl nor breathe fire at you."

Diana: Nice to meet you I’m Diana Hubertus

Rembrandt: so you are the Diana that I heard so much about

Smiling, Headmaster Rembrandt looked me up and down

Rembrandt: thank you for coming

Diana: Y-Yes sure!!

Rembrandt: I apologize for calling you so suddenly

Diana: Um...do you need something from me??

Rembrandt: perhaps Klaus would be so kind to explain

Prompted by the head master, Klaus stepped forward

Klaus: I called you here today for just one reason only , “that is to nominate you as the perfect candidate ”

Diana: WHAT, Nominate me!? , "But why? I'm not cut out to be a Prefect!"

Klaus:"In one year, you climbed the student ranks from the bottom to the top.", "But that's not all. You've matured and have shown suburb growth in mind and heart as well."

"You are loved by many people , and students trust your talent and judgment."

I think you are the ideal candidate for a new breed of Prefect.

Diana: Klaus.....

Klaus:What do you say? Will you contend as a Prefect candidate and take the trial?"

Diana: I..... “I’ll do it please let me try!!”

Klaus: I knew you’d say that

Rembrandt:"The look in your eyes is quite promising, Diana”, I sense a strong will and a stout heart in you. “Very well. I give you permission to contend as a

Prefect candidate.”

Diana: Thank you !!

Rembrandt: "You were right, Klaus, I do like this one. She's every bit as intriguing as you said she would be."

Klaus: “Right?”

Rembrandt: “Allow me to give a small token of my support."

Headmaster Rembrandt stepped towards me and attached something to my uniform pocket.When I glanced downwards, I saw he had given me a flowered brooch.

Diana:"It's lovely! What a neat brooch!"

Rembrandt: Let it be a charm that brings you good luck during your Prefect trial."

Diana: Thank you!

Rembrandt: "I know this is rather sudden, but tonight there will be a party for all Prefects and Prefect candidates." , "As you are one of them now, I ask that you make yourself present as well."

Diana: "A Prefect party? Okay!"

Klaus: "It'll be a good chance to meet your Prefect judge there, too.

Diana: "My Prefect judge? What's that?"

Klaus: "The Prefect trial is a test in which the current Prefects will judge and evaluate you.'

Diana: "Oh... So it's judged differently from the Judgment?"

Klaus: "If you displease the Prefect judge who's in charge of you, they may fail you outright."

Diana: “ w-what that’s not fair!!”

Klaus: "All the more reason to be on your best behavior and make sure they like you."

Diana: “ Now you tell me uhh....”

(I wonder what kind of person my Prefect judge will be?) , It's making me nervous just to think about it! I hope he is a nice person.

Rembrandt: I must give you this as well!

The Headmaster handed me a white outfit

Diana: What is this for ???

Rembrandt: "It's one of the special uniforms to help distinguish the Prefects and candidates from the regular students. Make sure you were it tonight at the party!

Diana: ok I will thanks!

(A brand-new outfit plus a Prefect party? I can't wait for tonight!)

At the party....

When I arrived at the auditorium, it was already packed with students.There were people in white uniforms much like mine, but also students in black uniforms.Everyone wearing a black uniform was someone I'd never seen before.

(Don’t tell me, Could the students in black be from the Night Class?)

Klaus: Diana!!

Diana: Klaus what are you doing here!?

Klaus: I was invited tonight as a special guest

Diana: "Oh, cool! Hey, are the students in black from the Night Class?"

Klaus: that’s right

Diana: "Their uniform looks so Gothic and cute! I wonder how it'd look on me?"

(If only I could snatch one of those up for my wardrobe...)

Klaus:"Only you would be so carefree at a time like this."

Diana: “ do I look that carefree to you ”

Klaus: “you do !”

Klaus pinched my cheeks

Diana: “ Th- That hurts ”

Klaus: anyway I wish you good luck in your trial!

Diana: Thank you!!

(He didn't have to pinch my cheeks to tell me that...)

???1: “Hey Goldstein”

Klaus: “uhh... here comes trouble ”

Klaus cringed at the voice and rubbed his temples.

Diana: what’s wrong!??

That's when the mass of students parted to let someone through. Rather, it was more like the person in question barged through the crowd while shoving people aside.

Two unfamiliar students came trampling our way.One was a young man wearing a hooded Night Class uniform , On his waist rode a sword of some sort that I'd never seen before.

As for the other person....

???1: "Who invited you, Goldstein? Aren't you supposed to be at the bears' house or something?"

The young man hollered as they approached.Though he wore the Night Class uniform, there was gaudy orange scarf atop his shoulders.

Klaus: Zeus...

Zeus: it’s been a while hasn’t it??

Klaus: What do you want ?

Zeus:"You graduated already so I wondered why you were here. What brings you back?"

Klaus: that non of your business!!

Zeus: “Man, you’re such a bore, Goldstein”, ""But no biggie. It's not like I already don't know through the grapevine."

Klaus: ........

Klaus was clearly irritated by whoever this was.
