Chapter 3 : Eyes In Dark

~ BANGTAN ENTERTAINMENT DORMITORY

After their dinner date, Jungkook drove Taehyung back. Car stopped infront of Taehyung's dorm.

" Thanks for the dinner, kookie. Too bad we didn't get to see the snow together. "

" It's ok hyung seems like the snow's not gonna come for another week. Let's just watch it then. I'm so happy spending time with you. "

" Yea...I don't think we'll get to watch it together. "

" I believe we will. "

Both stayed there in comfortable silence for few minutes before Taehyung removed his seat belt and got out.

Just then, Jungkook noticed the keychain Taehyung bought in the gift shop earlier. Quickly got out of his car and ran towards Taehyung.

" Hyung! hyung...wait"

Taehyung turned back, confusion in his eyes,

" Hyung you left this... " breathless because of running, showing the keychain in his hand.

" This is for you. " Jungkook looked confused, " for me? "

" Yea I bought this for you. "

It was a cute bunny keychain. " Why bunny? "

" Because you look like a cute bunny. " Taehyung replied with a cute smile in his face. Awing Jungkook's pouting lips.

" I'm not cute. I'm handsome. " Jungkook raised his chest to show off. Yet, he looked cute despite of his body. Taehyung admired Jungkook's overloaded cuteness, pinched his cheeks. " Of course, you are "

Jungkook's cheek turned blood red, lowered his head in shyness, feeling Taehyung's strong hands on his cheeks.

" Alright, I'm heading in. You should take some rest too. It's gonna be a tough schedule from now on, since your comeback is near. "

Jungkook said nothing but nodded and waved his goodbyes before returned to his car.

Camera shutter sound was heard at a distance. But, it was too dark to see who. Also, whoever it was, was so far away from Jungkook and Taehyung to even notice.

Dark have eyes and these eyes are the most dangerous of all. Waiting for a right time by staying in the dark. They can't see it but, they are always under this eyes. They both were so happy in their own world not knowing about the future that's waiting for them. Embracing the moment they have now.

Background music played loud, Jungkook started singing and moving accordingly. His moves was perfect, steps synced to the beat, came out in a most strong and sharp way, as if it's his last. The effort he puts in those moves need lots of energy but it looks simple with Jungkook.

His pitch was perfect too. Though his moves are so strong, he also maintains the perfect breathing and not even missing a single beat. Myth says, the sirens attracts the sailers towards them to feed likewise, his voice attracts millions and millions of people towards him and feed on their hearts. It was a voice no one can ignore. Mixed of sweetness, love, passion and softness. The feel people get in his voice, it makes their day bright and better even in their bad.

Everyone cheered and clapped after the song gets over. He bowed his head in a humble way to thank the staffs. Not only his voice, his personality is also sweet and kind.

" Jungkookie " a soft voice heard from his behind. It was his makeup noona signalling him to come.

" Yea noona "

" I want you to select the costumes for your comeback. So I can lock that for you. "

" Noona select for me. Anything is fine. I believe in noona. " Jungkook replied breathless but his face holds a still bright smile.

" I guessed you're gonna say that but I want you to select it for yourself. This is your comeback after a year. Everything needs to be perfect. "

Jungkook rolled his eyes with a smile. His noona literally dragged him to the dressing room. Jungkook basically grew up in the company. Most of the staffs knew him since he was very young. Everyone loved their little artist. Jungkook loved his noonas and hyungs too. But, it's just that he was a little too attached to his makeup noona. Always tagging along with her, she takes care of him like his own son.

~ Dressing room

" How's this? "

Jungkook was trying the outfits for his comeback. It's been an hour since they started. It seems to never end.

" Isn't it too revealing? "

" No I think it'll look good on you. I'll save this for you. "

" Noona I think these outfits are more than enough. Can I leave now. I really need to sit. "

Jungkook rushed out of the dressing room.

He walked down the hallway with a banana milk in his hand. Just then, he spotted Taehyung coming out of the CEO'S office. His face got instant glow.

" Hyung! " rushed towards Taehyung who smiled on seeing the younger running towards him.

" Hey kookie "

" What are you doing here hyung? "

" Mr.Bang wanted to talk about something. Your practice over? "

" Yea...hyung I took a break. "

" Wanna grab some coffee? "

" Sure, hyungie. " Excitement made him forget his banana milk in his hands.

They both grabbed a coffee and went out to sit in the wooden bench placed outside in their company's terrace garden. The floor was too high, had a perfect view of the city. They sat there in silent watching the sunset.

" Kookie, What do you think of love? "

The question made Jungkook almost spill his coffee.

" Love? "

" Mmm... "

" Well, love...is beautiful and painful at the same time. Thinking of the person you love makes you happy, excited, that butterfly feeling in your tummy...it...it has no words to explain. (lets out a little sweet smile) But, the fact that you can actually just see him, that's...hell. If the person you love loves you back it's different but, one sided is the most painful thing in the whole world. " Taehyung watched Jungkook in silence.

" It kills you everyday. The urge to touch and kiss the person you love...but knowing that one wrong move can ruin your relationship you have then, that's... that's torture. You don't want to hide it but also you can't show it. "

" Mmm...sounds like you have a crush on some one. "

Taehyung teased Jungkook and turned his attention back to the sunset. Jungkook face turned bright red thinking of the ' Crush ' with whom he's watching sunset.

" No, hyung I don't. Does hyung have any crush? " asked in the most soft baby tone.

" It's complicated. " Jungkook's eyes opened wide on hearing ' it's complicated ' that means does Taehyung really do have a crush on someone? Jungkook was so scared to even ask but he did it anyway, he looked at Taehyung who is currently sipping his coffee with his big baby eyes.

" Complicated? So, that means do hyung really do have a crush on someone? " he asked real careful, eyes looked more like pleading him to say no. But, his heart shattered on Taehyung's reply.

" I do. More than just a crush, I kinda like him. I like him more than anything and anyone in this world. "

Jungkook's mind couldn't register the words that's coming out of Taehyung's mouth. His smile was nowhere to be seen. Words repeating again and again in a faded tone, ' more than just a crush, I kinda like him.' He couldn't process his words, it's like his world is shattering into millions of pieces. ' I like him more than anything and anyone in this world. ' His tear was threating him to fall down. But, he managed to hold the tears in and started talking,

" Oh...I see so you do have someone. I thought hyung doesn't like anyone more than friends. "

" Yea, it's true but he's different. He's not like anyone else. The smile he holds can make your life bright. Waking up everyday seeing his smile, it'll be the most wonderful day. His kind words is more than enough for making even a worst day better. The way he care and love it makes him special. He is always active and talented in whatever he do. You can never find someone like him, even if you search the whole world. He's the most important person in my life. "

Hearing Taehyung speak about another man with all that shyness, bright red cheeks and genuine smile on his face makes Jungkook heart shatter even more. He stayed there in silent, no words were leaving his mouth. He was on the verge of crying.

" You should meet him sometime. I'm sure you'll like him. "

" I doubt that. " more like a whisper.

" Hmm? "

" Yea...I guess so...maybe... someday..." didn't dared to look at Taehyung. He was sure he'll cry. " I'll go back to practice then. See you hyung. " didn't wait for his reply, rushed inside towards the restroom.

He burst opened the restroom doors and let out the tears he was holding. He was a crying mess. Turned on the water to make sure no one hear. He couldn't help but cry out loud knowing that the person he like, likes someone that's not him. Trying to wash away the tears but, no use, it's falling in the most fast and continues way. He collapsed down on the floor laying his head against the walls and stayed like that for only God knows how long.

This time Taehyung himself pushed Jungkook into the dark. Leaving him alone, didn't know how much he hurted him. Just by his simple words, he torn him into pieces and the most unfair thing is that he doesn't even know that. Jungkook was so happy because of their date together. That doesn't even last long before knowing that Taehyung has his heart for someone else.

Jungkook thinks that he doesn't deserve to be happy, he doesn't deserve to be loved, or love. That's the thought that's going through his mind. He knew something like this would happen someday but, it still hurts. It hurts like hell. He knows there's no way to escape, he chose this path. He knows he's gonna get hurt but, he still did, and now he has to live in it.
