The Forbidden Door

By the time we reached the Manor, night had already fallen. As soon as we got through the front door, we heard Lorie's screams."I want the twins, Drogo and Peter to play with me now!", she yelled at Nicolae. "We're back!", Aiden said as entered the living room. Lorie ran up to us and hugged my legs. I kneeled down and picked her up.

"You're late! I have been waiting for you for ages!", she said with tears in her eyes."We're sorry. We just had to stay and complete our assignments.", I said while holding her close."Can you play with me now?", she asked us with a pitiful face. "Aiden...", I said giving my brother a knowing look. I held out my hand as Aiden took off my glove. I twirled my hand above Lorie's head and a pretty ice tiara appeared."As you wish, Your Highness!", Aiden played along and bowed in front of her.

"Wow! Pretty!", Lorie exclaimed as she looked at her tiara."Give us a few minutes so we can freshen up and change our clothes then we are all yours till bedtime, ok?", Peter told her gently."Don't you have homework?", Nicolae asked us."Pretty Little Thing dragged us to the library after class so that we can finish our assignments which we did, days before our due date!", Drogo grumbled."Good for you! You don't even attend classes regularly!", Nicolae said and frowned at Drogo. I glared at him."I'll make sure he attends class daily.", I reassured Nicolae.

I put Lorie down promising to be with her in 15 minutes. I went into my room, kept my bag and books in place and headed to the bathroom. I took a quick shower and chose to wear a black tank top with track pants. A few minutes later, I knocked on Lorie's door."Come in", she invited me. Aiden and Bartholy brothers were already there drawing on sheets of paper. Lorie ran up to as I bent down and lifted her up."Draw with us,Anna!", she pleaded.

I smiled and took the book from her."The one who draws me the best is the person who cares about me the most!", she declared. 20 minutes later, Lorie demanded to see our drawings. Lorie kept pointing mistakes in everyone's drawings."Anna, it's your turn.", she said holding out her hands with expectation. I handed my drawing to her." It's not much but I hope you like it.",I said humblely.

All three of them, except Aiden, stood there with their mouths hanging open."Wow, Good work, Lil' Sis!", Aiden said and ruffled my hair. I chuckled."I love it!", Lorie exclaimed and jumped up to hug me. I caught her in mid-air and twirled her around. We played for a few hours with her dolls which were just as horrible as the first one. Then Drogo got up and indicated at the clock.

"OK now it's late and Your Highness needs to have her beauty sleep", Drogo said while bowing in front of Lorie. She nodded sleepily."You guys can go we'll take care of her.", Peter said. I smiled at him and mouthed a 'thank you'. He nodded and we left the room.

We crossed the basement door and I stopped abruptly. Aiden looked at me, questioningly. I turned towards the basement door. What was this strange dark aura that was coming from behind the door? It was very peculiar. I felt attracted to that door or whatever that was behind it. I stared at it for a few seconds then reached out for the handle.

My heart would have been beating wildly if it was working. As soon as I grabbed the handle, someone came and stood in front of me. It was Nicolae and he was frowning. From what Peter and Drogo told us, it was never a good sign when Nicolae had a grumpy look on his face.

"What are you two doing?", he asked sternly."What is over there?", I asked him, pointing towards the door."You don't need to know. It's out of bounds!",said Nicolae while crossing his hands over his chest."I am curious because the vibe from behind the door is weird. Like absolutely evil!", I stated. Nicolae gulped visibly. "Don't ask questions! This door is forbidden! Don't ever open it.", he yelled clearly panicked. "OK, ok! We understood. Don't yell!", I said. "That was weird. They are clearly hiding something in the basement and it is something we are not supposed to know about.", my brother thought in his head while we walked towards our rooms. "Good night, Lil' Sis.",he said, kissed my forehead and walked towards his room.

I know I wouldn't sleep after this little encounter with Nicolae and also because I could feel my insomnia kicking up, so I sat down at my piano and started playing 'Spring Day' by BTS. I listen to them whenever I'm bored or I feel down. My brother used to get irritated at first whenever I started singing their songs but now he is an even bigger fan than me! I played for a major part of the night and read my school books for a few hours. At around 7.30 in the morning, I got up from my study table took a quick shower and headed towards Lorie's room.

My brother was already there and was horrified when he saw my face. I had dark circles under my eyes and anyone could tell that I didn't sleep at all. I shook the little vampire gently."Lorie it's time to wake up!", I said. She sat up in bed and yawned. She held her hands out, a gesture which meant that she wanted a hug. I took her in my arms and got up from the bed. I gave her a bath as Aiden picked out her school uniform. We took her downstairs once she was ready."Nicolae!",she said excitedly when she saw her older brother. I put her down and she ran into Nicolae's arms."I'll take her from here. You two should get ready.", he said and turned to leave."Bye Anna!Bye Aiden!", she said."Have a good day at school, Lorie!", we said together.

"Wow, Anna, you look like a wreck!", a voice called from behind us. I didn't have to turn around to know that it was Peter. I smiled."Oh? I didn't notice.",I replied sarcastically. He smirked. I rolled my eyes."Bro, can you tie my hair?", I asked my brother with my bunny smile."Ok, do you want your bangs down or up?", Aiden asked as we climbed the stairs while Peter had his dose of blood."Down!", I answered his like a baby. My brother loves pampering me. So I give him the benefit of the doubt. He tied my hair into a braided ponytail with my bangs down. That was my favorite hairstyle!

We went down where Drogo and Peter were waiting for us."Nice hairstyle, pretty little thing!", Drogo complimented."My brother did it for me!", I said excitedly as I hugged Aiden from behind."I thought twins usually chew each other's brain out....How come you two are so close?.....", Peter ask looking thoughtful."We have always been this close. Even as kids.",Aiden told them."Once someone locked Anna in the basement, if I hadn't noticed that I hadn't seen her over an hour, she would have been in there all night!", Aiden said and laughed a little. I smacked his arm playfully but then remembered something. The basement door at Bartholy Manor! I still am curious about it.

I am about to ask the brothers about it but someone calls out to me."Anna!",a voice said from across the street. I turned towards the source of the voice and saw Terry waving at me. He ran up to us."Good Morning, Anna! Nice hairstyle!", Terry complimented. I felt like melting! Boy was I feeling lovesick! This guy was making me feel very warm.

We got near University and saw Sarah waiting for us at the entrance."Sarah!", I called out to her. She saw me and ran up to us. Her eyes grew wide when she saw Terry with us. She looked at me questioningly."Sarah Osborne, right?", Terry asked while extending his hand."I'm Terrell Williams. You can call me Terry.", he continued."I know who you are. I mean who doesn't.", Sarah said and smiled at him. That made me a little upset. Why did she smile and why did he smile back?! My brother probably noticed this cause he thought in his head,"Don't get angry. Stay calm!". I nodded at him and we headed for class.

What are these weird feelings that I feel whenever Sarah talks to Terry? And why exactly am I feeling like this? It's not like I like Terry or.......is it? That's something worth knowing.

The moment I entered the auditorium, I groaned. Loan was staring at me with those perverted eyes of his and he was sitting on my seat! Aiden noticed this and suggested that we sit at the back. I nodded immediately. Sarah looked at me confused. I used my eyes and pointed at Loan. She frowned, took my gloved hand and dragged me at the back seat. The boys followed suit. I sat in between Peter and Aiden. Drogo sat in between Sarah and Terry in front of us.

Looks like Loan is a really dumb pig because even after the pretty obvious hint, he still has the guts to approach me."Hey Gorgeous! How are you today?", he asked giving me a wink, which gave me the creeps. I rolled my eyes and he leaned towards me, deadly close. I could see Terry staring at us through the corner of his eyes. My brother was about to smack him but I put my hand on his and stopped him. I turned towards him and was shocked to see he was even close than before! I pushed him and wished that I had used a little less force because Loan went flying across the room and just then Professor Jones walked in!

Wow, absolutely fantastic! Perfect timing! I'm so done.
