Iris: Violet ! Breakfast is ready!

Violet: Okay !

I'm awake , I couldn't sleep last night. I'm just ... It was strange , but I loved it . My eyes hurt , bags formed ... probably. I get out of bed ... I go to bathroom and remove my clothing. The bruise on my back , blue and black . The water hot as it washes over me . It becomes cold and I find myself welcoming the feeling . I get dressed . I search my cupboard for some ointment and bandages...I get bullied , so I have cupboards full of bandages and ointment . I could ask Iris to heal me , it would go faster but I don't . I dry my hair and leave it loose , not having energy to style it .

The Dining Room is in the main kitchen . I don't eat with the others ... I eat in the kitchen in a large compartment of the building , Iris complex . It's safer .

Iris: What happened to you ? You stayed up last night? You knew you would be attending Magic Glass today !

She rushes to me , her hands begin to glow .

Iris: Heal !

The light gently wraps itself around my eyes , the dark circles gone .She stares at me intently .

Iris: Who hurt you ?

Violet: What ?

Iris: I healed your whole body just to make sure that you're okay .There was a bruise on your back . Who hurt you ?

I sigh and then smile at her ... Worry wart .

Violet: I'm okay , thanks for healing me . I won't see you for a while once I get there , I'll be living in the protected dorms . Let's eat now , don't worry , I'm okay.

She looks at me .

Iris: Okay , let's eat , I made a new dish for today ... it's delicious .Breakfast , here we come .

We both laugh . We sit down and eat . Breakfast was ... delicious .

We ride in a limo , all of us .When we get there , we will not argue but rather pretend we do not hate each other .

Yola:You better not talk to me , I won't be nice to you .

I will no longer continue to be bullied . I breathe , my hair in my face . I look at her ... with a glare .

Violet: I won't be nice to you.

They look at me with shock . I never spoke back before . I will now .

Yola: What did you say ?

She looks mad , gets up and walks to me . She stands there as she looks at me .

Violet: You are a bully.

She raises her hand as if to slap me . I grab her wrist as I stand up . With my other hand I push her away from me .

Yola: You bum , how dare you . Flames spark at her hands , she trys to harm me ...

Udine: Stop , Yuri will be angry if you fight .

Undine ... she never interferes , she's always indifferent . She follows Yuri's orders like it's her instinct . She looks at us both . Yola distinguishes her flames , Udine is strong ... she has the water ability , Yola cannot hurt her.We both sit down , everyone stares at me ... they wonder why I changed .

The limo stops outside of Green Glass , all of us step out . We walk into the school yard , I walk away from the others , I won't pretend . As I walk around the the premises , I see different people using their abilities . I try to familiarise myself with their abilities ... habit . I'm walking around when someone bumps into me ... I lose my balance and all of a sudden , a tree catches me ... It steadies me .

The girl: I'm so sorry! Are you okay ?

I look at her ... she's so pretty .I smile .

Violet: I'm okay , thank you .

The girl: My names Val , nice to meet you .

Violet: I'm Violet , it's nice to meet you.

Val: Would you like to walk around together , I don't know anyone here . I just turned 20 ...

Violet: Sure , I just turned 20 ...

Val: We're the same age ! Maybe we'll have the same lessons together !

Violet: Yeah !

We walk around together . The ability she has is similar to Iris ability .

Ringgggggggggggggggg

We gather in the meeting area . A lady walks out , she stands in front of us all .

Headmaster: Hello everyone , I am the Headmaster of Magic Glass. I welcome you all . You will be split up into groups and head to your lessons . After all your lessons , you will be given instructions on how to get to your dorms . You will be sharing dorms , note that fights go against our rules. If you fight , you must request to duel , you cannot kill anyone but injures can be afflicted . Thank you for attending Magic Glass . You can go now.

She says in a gentle tone , not like Yuri. I feel like I have met her before ... maybe ...

I only have to attend the combat lesson for today , magic must not be used.

Violet: Do you have combat today ?

Val: I do !

We smile at each other as we make our way to the combat lesson. We get into gym clothing.

The coach is a man , he has a woman frame ... The boys snicker , the girls laugh . Not me , not Val ...

Coach: You will now show me your combat skills , tomorrow we will begin the basics.

I know how to fight , my father taught me . I can sense if a person is dangerous or not ... it's something not many can do . I have always been able to . I was too scared to fight against Yola , but now ... I will , if she bullies me . Coach calls a few people up to fight .

Coach: Violet and Xenie.

Xenie was a boy , he looks at me and then laughs . The girls cheer for him , he sends a kiss their way ... playboy . I sigh , it's been a while since I fought but I should be fine ... I guess .

We get into a fight stance , I look him over . We fight . He runs at me , trying to punch me , I see this coming so I dodge . I grab his arm suspended in air and twist it , pushing him to the ground .

Xenie: Stop!

I get up , wiping the dirt off my clothing . Everyone looks at me , they whisper ...

Coach: Violet , did you use your power ?

I look at him , how can he ask me that ?

Violet: No !

He walks to me and gives me a bracelet .

Coach: Put it on and run from that distance to this distance .

I do as he says . I come back .He looks the bracelet . There's no change , I look at him . What does he want ?

Coach: Violet! You used no magic ? You were so fast . Some couldn't keep up with your movement .

I stare at him , I was fast ? Wait ... yesterday I ran to the beach , it was two miles away but I got there in minutes... He smiles at me . I smile back.

Violet: I did not use magic .

Coach: You have talent , you could be a combat coach next year ...

Next year , we still have to attend combat lessons , for him to say that means he sees me as someone who can fight .

Violet: Thank you .

I walk to Val , we watch the others as they fight.

We walk to our dorms , Val and I share a dorm . The dorms are spacious .

Val: You can fight !

Violet: Probably ...

Val: You looked ... can I have an autograph .

I laugh

Violet: Nope

Val: How mean !

We both laugh and lay on our beds. Val could fight , she fights rough , not like her appearance at all. She falls asleep . I stay awake .

I think at night when no one can see me ... I think about things that I tell no one ... it's a habit . At night I stay awake , I look around and feel .At night when I'm alone , I close my eyes and breathe , night comes and I stay awake ...until I fall asleep . Night comes and I'm awake , I close my heavy eyes and then I sleep. Night comes and I hear the whispers , the stars in the sky , I fall asleep to a beautiful melody.
