Meals Together

Cleo, Gab, and Alora are on the living room while Gab treating Cleo's toenails through icebag.

"I am really sorry. I didn't mean to put those bowls away from their proper places. I was ready to use them for cooking but I wounded myself so I need to cure it," she sincerely apologized.

"I thought you were bitten by a mosquito?" Cleo replied and looking at her directly as if he is not a blind person.

Alora paused and realized what she said. Gab's reaction towards her is confusing. "Where is your wound? Let me see," Gab asked.

"It's just a wound. Mine is more painful," Cleo interrupted when Gab stopped treating him.

"He's right, Gab. This is not big and it's less painful now," Alora agreed to what Cleo said.

"Hmmp!" Gab reacted and he crossed his eyes. "You don't know how to cook aside from egg and you still have the guts to do it. Fine, I will cook for us. You replace me here," Gab instructed and gave the icebag to Alora.

"But-" Alora didn't finish her disaproval because Gab left already. There were two of them in the living room. Alora felt nervous and cannot look directly to Cleo while treating his bruise.

"Do it properly," he suddenly said.

"What do you think I am doing?" she answered back.

"Don't tell me you also don't know how to treat this one," he casually stated. Alora annoyed and almost pressed the icebag too much. "Stop it!" Cleo pulled his foot.

"I didn't do it in purpose," Alora defended. "If you want, do it yourself. I think I've done my part and we're now equal." Alora handed the icebag to him before going to Gab's room upstairs.

Gab noticed it and he tried to follow Alora but he needs to stir the food that he's cooking.

Cleo managed to walk towards the kitchen. He reached the dining table and held the dining chair and he sat there. He is really comfortable and almost memorized the things inside Gab's house. He used to come here once or twice a week to visit Gab, his only family that he considers.

"You seem so close to her," Cleo started the conversation. "And you care too much," he added.

Gab is busy in cooking fried noodles but he can still hear his cousin. The stove is parallel to the dining table. Gab offered Cleo a glass of warm water.

Gab smiled when he thinks of Alora. "I really care for her. She's the only one who didn't judge me aside from you. She is the only person who trust me despite of my gender," Gab answered with full of happiness.

"I see," a simple reply from Cleo.

"Alora is too sensitive and fragile. She's so innocent most of the things, that's why I pity her when she told me that her father wanted her to marry with someone she doesn't know at all. She will get married once she turned twenty and that's six months from now," Gab added while preparing the noodles on the three bowls.

"What's the reason of that?" Cleo asked with expressionless.

"Of what? Of telling you about her? Of course for able you to understand her," Gab answered.

"No, the reason why her father wanted her to get married," Cleo interrupted.

Gab paused for a moment and asked himself why Cleo is so curious about it. "Well, a family- business matter. Probably their company is currently facing problems," he answered as he shrugged his shoulders. "Why did you ask, anyway?"

"Nothing. I don't get used to have other people here aside from you," he answered.

"This is my house and both of you are my guests, so treat her as you co-guest," Gab stated and gave the bowl of noodles for him.

"Whatever," Cleo replied.

One day had passed, Alora is still living in Gab's place. The three of them having a good dinner in the dining area. They share a bowl of rice, big bowl of noodles, and a plate of sushi and spicy shrimps.

Alora noticed that Cleo is not eating shrimps. "This shrimp is so delicious. Why aren't you eating them?"

"Are you nuts or just don't have a brain at all?" he answered.

Alora took a deep sigh to hold back his anger. She was asking nicely and his answer is like that.

"My pretty girl, he doesn't like to mess his hands. Can you peel it for him?" Gab giggled.

Alora raised her eyebrows and Cleo glared at Gab. "I don't want it!" they said to each other.

"Good that you know," Cleo said and he finished his meal.

"He's so full of himself," Alora whispered and Cleo heared it.

"You literally full yourself, little pig." Cleo meant his words because Alora almost finish their meal.

Gab is laughing secretly. Alora was about to stand when someone is knocking on the door.

"It might be my order," Alora said with full of excitement and rushed towards the door but Cleo pulled her.

"Check it first before opening the door. You're so careless," Cleo warned her but she didn't listen.

"Then come with me!" she said while pulling Cleo's arm towards the door. Alora bought thru online a new limited edition of a foreign book. She's so eager to have it in her collection.

As she opened the door, her wide smile vanished when she knew who they are.
