I need to get out of here...

Behind me, I heard a ripple and then knew I was not alone. But much to my relief, it was Shu in the bath, not any of his other brothers. He seems to be the least aggressive but him in my bath is still annoying, but at least he is fully clothed.

"Shu." he didn't respond. " Shu!" I said louder so that my voice can rival the music that he was playing. "What." he said tierdly without even opening his eyes. " Please get out, I need to take a bath.

He didn't look at me, all he did was sigh before he fell into the bath.

I don't know what came over me, but before he completely submerged himself, I grabbed his hand to try to save him.

Why?

Why did I do that?

But Shu... something seems wrong with him. His grip on my hand was tightening by the moment. He seemed deep in thought, as if he was remembering a painful moment. And without any noticed he pulled me into the shower with him.

"Let go!"

I was an idiot for letting my guard down around me. But...

" I didn't think you would do this"

"Don't be surprised, I am a vampire."

He pulled me closer and put his ice cold hand to my neck, then bent down to bite me.

"I see why you were sent here now..."

Shu let go of his grip on me when I was about to pass out.

"your blood... is special."

I walked out feeling drained. I can never seem to catch a break. Is this an ordeal that you seem fit for me to go through, Lord? Either way, please lend me your strength to help me... I need to find a way to find a way out of here.

"So now you decide to show up."

" Please don't bother me Ayato."

I have no more strength, please just leave me alone.

I tried to fight back the best I can, but when he pulled my hair back to reveal Shu's bite mark, then his face got filled with anger.

Of course Ayato felt the need to drag me across to where Shu was taking a nap.

He didn't respond.

God please make him let me go.

"Why are you being so loud?"

Ayato let me go. Thank you, God.

"Don't say that to me, you should know by now that she belongs to me!"

I tuned Ayato out and realized a potential escape route. Ayato seems to preoccupied to notice if I just slip out.

I started tiptoeing backwards until I hit something... or someone... I looked up to see what I just hit and saw the fedora wearing vampire of my nightmares.

Lol so much for that plan.

"Seems like b!tch-chan is trying to escape?"

Yes, so please let me go. *sob*

" So lets decide this with a competition!"

Oh yeah, Ayato exits... wait, what competitors?

" And b!tch-chan with be the prize!"

" Wait I did not sign up for this, and I am not a prize!"

Ayato looked back to see me caught mid escape. I instantly took note of his idiocy.

" A competition... sounds fun, right teddy?"

" I'm playing too! If I am a prize then I want to at least try to, um, win myself?"

That sounds so weird.

But Shu didn't move.

"Tch, as I thought, he is useless. He can't do anything without the help of others."

Wow. He's brutal. I wouldn't expect Reji to say that to his own brother.

Shu seemed to not care, but I felt something weird, like an anger towards Reji for killing someone I loved, doubts of myself for being truly useless...

It is like I can... feel what Shu is feeling right now.

Then I felt that feeling bottle up and Shu stood up and walked to the chess board where the grand competition for my possession was being held.

I can't lose this! This is an opportunity to show them that I won't go down without a fight! I hope that chess is similar to checkers though. My dad liked to play the game and I know I learned the game from him. If only I could remember the rules...

Each brother was chosen at random, with the winner proceeding to the next round and the lower being eliminated. I had the luxury of playing against the brother that won. I guess it was to either have me claim myself while the dude is watching, or in worst case cenerio, to realize how screwed I was with every move on that stupid chess board.

I tried to follow along with the strategies that the brothers used, but still had no idea. But I did have an idea that Reji would be the one I will play against, so I tried to see what he was doing to use his moves against him.

It was time to play the victor of the competition. I still don't get this game but I'll try to use Rejis previous moves against him.

I started of the game pretty well I think by using the moves that Reji used the first round and incorporated some of his other moves when the situation looked similar. Unfortunately, Reji seemed to catch on to my strategy and counter attacked it with situation I was unfamiliar with. I tried to use moves to get Reji back to a situation in which I can recite the moves but knew it was to late.

" Checkmate."

Frick.

" ahahah, care for a rematch?"

"huu, well, can't say we didn't see this coming." Laito grabbed my shoulders then pushed me towards Reji. "Here is your prize of one b!tch-chan."

"eheheh, hi" God please help. Reji glared at me then walked away. " I couldn't care less about a mortal human being." Thank God. " But you sure were interesting."

To my relief, instead of walking to me, he did the opposite. As I saw him walk away I sighed. Thank the Lord that didn't turn out badly.

I don't know much about Reji, but I know that I need to keep my guard up and be cautious around him.
