The Beach.

Chen Yi sighed as the warm water ran down his pale body, relaxing his tense muscles. He quickly scrubbed his body and washed his hair.

"Ah.. I could get used to this." He mutttered leaning against the shower wall feeling light in the head. He was so tired that he could sleep right there. Chen Yi had to make a public appearance on Monday and today was Saturday, that means weekend. He was never a fan of weekends. He just felt they were useless. He could finish a week's worth work on those days. Chen Yi was always workaholic. Always staying a step ahead. He prided himself in self control. But his nosy personality activated when his intrest is roused.

Chen Yi smiled. He didn't know what Yunzo made him feel, but he wasn't complaining. For some reason he was looking forward to staying and talking with Yunzo.

He turned off the shower and got out. He dried himself and changed into his pajamas which Yunzo had hung on the hook earlier. He quietly opened the door to see Yunzo sitting shirtless on his laptop. His back was to the door. He had his t-shirt on his shoulder. Chen Yi gulped.

'Is it normal to have this broad shoulder? ' he wondered feeling self conscious.

Then Chen Yi frowned looking at the scars on the back. They looked very old.. Almost embedded in the skin.

He walked towards Yunzo extending his hand but stopped midway. He cleared his throat causing Yunzo to turn his head.

"Oh you are done? Lemme shower too." Yunzo said, closing his laptop and getting up." You can wait here if you like." He said walking to the bathroom.

Chen Yi who was already sitting on the bed waited till the shower started. Then he picked up his phone from the beside table and dialed a number..

"Gege!!" An excited sound squealed.

"Chen Min. " Chen Yi said smiling.

"GEGE!! DID U REACH?!? HOW IS IT THERE!?! Did you meet uncle?!" Chen Min asked.

"I did meet uncle. It is good here. How about you.?" Chen Yi asked.

"Ah.. I had a piano lesson. I'm really tired. Grandpa is really controlling. It's the usual. Don't worry." Chen Min said.

"Chen Min... .... " Chen Yi started embarrassedly. It felt like a 100 th time when he had called his sister to talk about this.

"What is it..?" Chen min asked confused.

"Umm.. I.. U know.. It's this.. I.."

"Gege.. Don't tell me...." Chen Min sighed. " Who is it this time.?"

"He is my bodyguard. Uncle introduced him to me... He is really handsome. I srsly am falling for him. I think he is the one-"

"Hold your horses!!! Gege!! " Chen Min stopped him.

And Chen Yi felt like a small kid about to be scolded.

" You always do this. I thought we went over this. It's the 15th you have fallen for someone at first sight. You can't just think they are your soulmate just because you think they are nice. And besides.. After like 3 days you loose intrest in them." Chen Min ranted. Chen Yi could not help but know how correct she was.

"But i swear.. This time it's different-"

"Gege.. If it's different then wait. Did you forget how you dumped Lucas in high school.. He was so broken. Even I felt like you played with him." Chen Min scolded.

Chen Yi flinched at the memories.

"But I paid him hard cash. He was more than happy then." Chen Yi muttered quietly, pouting.

Chen Min sighed.

"Gege not everything can be solved by money. And this time.. You went to Korea for work. Why don't you focus on that. There is no time for your to paly around. "

"I do my work just fine... I just-"

"Gege, let's talk later. I gotta go. My class is starting. Bye"

"Ok bye" Chen Yi said hanging up.

Chen Yi was perfect in every way. He always got what he wanted. He was ambitious and every girl's dream. But.. The main problem of the hier of Li Business was that he was gay. Like super gay. And he fell very easily for anyway. A handsome man could just greet him and he would be head over heels for him. Chen Min knew about all this. She also knew how of a jerk her brother was. He could be sweet when he wanted and a demon when he wanted. He could do anything to get what he wants. A heartbreaker.

'Ah.. Chen Min doesn't understand. I m serious about Yunzo. I have never felt this desperate before. I will show her.. IM SERIOUS THIS TIME!! ' Chen Yi huffed. Lying down on the bed. His back really thanked him as he slowly relaxed in to the soft mattress.

'I shouldn't sleep... I really shouldn't sleep. I have to talk to Yunzo. I shouldn't sleep..atleast not here..................

"HOLY SHIT!!! I SLEPT!!!!!" Chen Yi shouted waking up abruptly but immediately slapping his hands over his mouth. He looked around. He was alone in Yunzo's room. He even had covers over him which he was sure he didn't use when he slept... Ahem.. Unintentionally. Soft sunrays filtered though the white curtains. Chen Yi looked on the other side of the bed. It was cold and unwrinkled.

He pulled his legs to his chest and buried his head in them.

'ahh!! What the.. Where did he sleep.? I m already a nuisance.' he thought getting out of the bed. He tip toed to the door opening the room's door. He peeked out there was no one there. An eerie silence followed him as he walked out completely.

Chen Yi's eyes fell on the glass doors behind the TV. Since it was dark last night he couldn't see outside clearly. There was a beach in front of the house he could see the line where the sparkling sand disappeared into the water. There were huge rocks too. Chen Yi felt really calm forgetting everything for a moment. He pressed his palm against the cold glass.

'It is... Really beautiful..' he praised wanting to go out.

He was really into admiring the sea when a whine shocked him. He froze turning around slowly. He couldn't see anything. Just a empty living room. Then a loud bark broke the silence. Chen Yi yelped running towards the the couch and climbing on it. He looked down on the ground to find a dog. A golden retriever. He wasn't big not small. It had his tongue out looking at him with it his black eyes.

"Pluto!! No!" Someone said sternly and the dog ran off to the owner of the sound.

Chen Yi turned to towards the elevator door to see Yunzo in a blue tracksuit. He wore a black cap. It looked as if he went on a run.

"Im sorry. Did he scare you.?" Yunzo asked petting Pluto.

"No.. I just didn't know.. That there was a dog here." Chen Yi said stepping down from the couch.

Yunzo picked up Pluto in his arms and walked towards Chen Yi.

"I forgot to tell you." Yunzo apologized. "This is Pluto. Alex brought him from a rescue center. "

Chen Yi extended his hand nervously to pet it. As if sensing it Pluto craned his head licked his fingers. Chen flinched but didn't pull away.

"He must have thought you were taking him out for a walk." Yunzo said chuckling. "He always likes to walk at this time on the beach.. So I take him out most of the time. " Yunzo explained.

He put Pluto down and went to Alex's room. Pluto circled around Chen Yi's legs wagging his tail. Chen Yi laughed looking at him.

"I will take him out. When did you get up? I thought you would sleep some more. its still early. "Yunzo said coming out with a leash..

"Ah.. I'm sorry for sleeping like that in yournroom. Where did you sleep?" Chen Yi asked embarrassed.

"Ah.its okay.... I slept on the couch. "Yunzo said putting the leash on Pluto.

"What?!? U could've have just slept with me.. "Chen Yi said then hastily tried to change it because it sounded wrong. "O-or you c-vould have used m-my room. "

Yunzo raised his eyebrow looking ready to laugh. Finally he brust out.

"Hey!! Y are you laughing?!?" Chen Yi asked flushing red.

"Ah nothing. It's just.. Ah nothing." Yunzo waved it off.

He walked with a leashed Pluto towards the the glass door when Chen Yi stopped him.

"Um can I come too?" He asked.

"Sure" Yunzo shrugged." But you should at least wear a jacket. "He added.

"Ok.. I will be quick. " Chen Yi said hurrying to his own room and rummaging in his suitcase for clothes.

He settled on a yellow hoddie and black track. He roughly arranged his hair with his fingers and left the room.

He was greeted with a Yunzo who was playing dead and Pluto pawing at his chest. Chen chuckled causing Yunzo to get up.

"Ok I m alive now. Get off. "Yunzo told Pluto who whined but got off anyway.

"Let's go" He told Chen Yi opening the glass door.

There was extended balcony with lawnchairs and a table. There were some potted plants too. On the side there was ladder going up to the terrace. And a flight of stairs that went down directly to the beach sand.

Yunzo asked Chen Yi to use one of the slippers kept there and the both descended the stairs. Chen Yi

breathed in deeply. Salty smell of the sea filled him with numbness. He felt addicted. Yunzo unleashed Pluto who ran about freely.

"Is this a private beach? Chen Yi asked out of curiosity, looking around at the empty beach.

*No. It's not.. It's just far away from the main beach so no one comes this far. We grill here in summers. Its super fun" Yunzo said stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Hmm." Chen Yi hummed still in daze by the beautiful scenery infront of him.

"Follow me. I will show the best spot here. " Yunzo said eagerly walking alongside the coast. Chen Yi followed wanting to see the best spot.

After a short while, a tree came into view. It was half embedded into water and half on land. It was a stout with large braches spread in all the direction. Just below it was a huge rock reaching the lower branch of the tree.

"That's the best spot here. I found it so it's mine. But i doubt you will be able to reach it." Yunzo said scratching his chin thoughtfully.

Chen Yi frowned. " What do you mean by that?! "He asked.

"I mean bones at your age need to taken care of properly... "Yunzo said smiling evilly.

"Hah!! I will show you!" Chen Yi said, starting to climb up the rock.

Yunzo giggled. "Let me help you up." Yunzo said guiding Chen Yi to the rock. "Slowly. There are slippery spots. Avoid them." Yunzo warned climbing closely behind Chen Yi watching his every move. Chen lifted his foot for a final step when

"HEY! NOT THERE!" but it was already too late, Chen Yi felt like the ground slipped from beneath his feet. But it didn't hurt.

"Are you okay?" Yunzo asked, holding Chen Yi around his upper back with one hand and another hand holding onto the crack in the rock.

"I'm good."

They continued their short climb and Yunzo helped Chen Yi onto the branch.

Chen Yi huffed. That was more tiring than he thought. He was out of breath. He looked at Yunzo who was sitting there like they didn't do a thing admiring the view.

'Ah... Youth. I miss it.. Maybe I should also start hitting the gym' Chen Yi thought sighing

"Do you like the beach? "Yunzo asked, looking at the distant sea.

"Yeah... What about you?" Chen Yi asked.

"Hmmm.. I like any place with water. "

"Why though?"

"I dunno.. It just.. Kinda gives me hope.. I guess... Like reminding me that im not the only one with mysteries. " Yunzo replied smiling.

'mysteries huh? I want to know then" Chen Yi thought.

"So... Tell me." Chen Yi said looking eagerly at Yunzo.

Yunzo turned his gaze away." Tell you what?".

"Don't you play the innocent card with me." Chen Yi snarled.

Yunzo chuckled.

"I am telling you because your uncle said he would tell you about it eventually. If I didn't have the permission I wouldn't have have told you." Yunzo said seriously.

Chen Yi frowned.

"Five years ago.. A group of friends made a silly vow. A vow to bring good to the world. You see, we were those idiots. We always thought police was of no use. They went by law. And only helped those with money. " Yunzo paused looking at a passionate listener next to him. He continued.

"Those without money were hopeless. There are many crimes that happen in the shadows. The dark secrets that police does not want to uncover. Children are kidnapped. Women a sold. Men are abused. Nowhere is safe. " Yunzo sighed looking broken.

"Mr Li. Tell me.. Have you ever experienced being shut behind bars and mentally abused to the point of no return. ?"

Chen Yi slowly shook his head.

"Have you ever dreaded the next moment of your life because you knew that someone or the other is going to break your self respect and rape you till you die?"

Chen Yi bit the inside of his cheek feeling his stomach go cold. He looked at the boy infront of him with so much fear.

"Have you ever... felt useless.. So useless that you don't care what happens to you... Entirely broken...?"

Chen Yi gulped." Stop." He said unable to handle the intensity.

Yunzo grinned.

"See. You have had enough by just hearing it. Think about all those little kids who actually experience it. Having drugged. Being human specimen to new medicines and drugs. But does your police do anything? They might have saved a few. Barging about it on the cameras.. Displaying those faces of terror that they saved. Showcasing them. Humiliating them... " Yunzo clenched his hands in to fists, his fingers digging into his palms.

Chen Yi looked at those black eyes seeing the same desire he had seen last night. He wanted to reach out and tell him that it was fine.. But he knew it wasn't. Saying that would be just empty words.

"We save them. "Yunzo stated.

"Huh?"

"Five years ago we started this crazy campaign to save these people. We practically saved them too. "Yunzo chuckled.

"I remember.. Our first fight.. We were a bunch of idiot 15 yr olds fighting desperately with no strategy or idea. Just thinking about how to save those kids behinds the bars. " Yunzo's eyes unfocused watched the rippling water underneath.

"Did you save them?" Che Yi asked.

"We did. We saved them all." He smiled at the memory." I remember when I went home my mom was really happy about it. Though she wasn't pleased about all the wounds I acquired." Yunzo sighed. He waited a moment dwelling on whether he should tell about what happened next. His heart tightening. He decided against it. Besides it's his personal life.. Nothing that concerned Chen Yi.. So he isn't doing any wrong hiding it. He skipped a little saying...

"Then your uncle came in. He wanted to help. He wanted to remain undercover and help us with our plans. He hired us, like his own squad. He paid us too. At first my team and I thought it was crazy for such a big shot to support. We were really suspicious. That's when we actually researched about him. We found out that he was a clean guy and could be trusted. From then on.. I m your uncle's toy. "Yunzo chuckled.

Chen Yi however was really unpleased.

"But aren't you guys too young? Chen Yi asked a tinge of worry in his voice. "And you guys a old enough for this.. But never do anything. " Yunzo shrugged.

No matter how much Chen Yi wanted to argue, he couldn't. It 100% true.

"Uncle will tell you all this eventually.... Because since you are inheriting all the business I'm sure he'd want you to look out for us too. " Younzo said " But you don't have to force yourself. You can alway choose to leave us.. We can manage on our own too."

"NO!" Chen Yi stated loudly folding his hands. "Once I take control I will keep my nose in ur business so that I m asured you guys won't do anything reckless. "He huffed.

Yunzo laughed. ' isn't he cute.?' he thought.

"So yesterday too....?" Chen Yi trailed off.

"mmhmm. They were going to transport children to another country. Though we didn't find all of them yesterday, we know they are okay for now. We are waiting for the perfect opportunity to rescue them. " Yunzo explained.

"Do you get hurt often?" Chen yi asked

"Ah.. That.. Actually it's been awhile since I got hurt. Yesterday due to your uncle's call I got distracted and ended up having that cut. " Yunzo smiled nervously." It's okay now" He added quickly as Chen Yi looked like he was about to cry.

Chen Yi couldn't believe. At some point he might have thought his life was the hardest. His work was all it for him. Now looking at these buch of youngsters he realised.. That.. He's only lived his life for himself. People like Yunzo are rare to find.. And yet that's another reason Chen Yi allowed himself to be attracted to the man in front of him.

"Come to think of it... You always stare at me like you will eat me any minute. Do i offend you in any way? Yunzo asked turning his head to look right in Chen Yi's eyes. He smirked. " Perhaps my looks?"

Chen Yi looked away rolling his eyes.

"Yeah sure." He said sarcastically.

But your looks... Are impressive. he thought secretly breathing in a breath full of fresh air, wanting to savor this very moment until he could. That was till Yunzo's phone started ringing.
