The Orphanage

Sky: Woah! So this is the west part of the city!

Lyla: Yeah, pretty surprising right? Even though the center is the largest part of the city the west side is the busiest one beacause it's where immigrants go to set up their own business

Sky: So that means that the all the stores here are made by immigrants?

Lyla: Well not all of them just "most" of them. The biggest business here is owned by the descendant of a famous travelling merchant and he's called "Aurum" he sells products made of gold so only rich people buy from him, but even though he's very rich he doesn't take himself to be more superior than the poor, he donates most of his funds to charity and occasionally hosts events or competions where the winner gets a lot of money and when i say a lot i mean a LOT of money.

Sky: Oh, this "Aurum" guy seems to be a great man, if only i could meet him someday

Lyla: Me too, but he's gotten old and rarely comes out of his house anymore

Sky: Oh that's too bad.

Lyla: Anyways, we're almost at the orphanage. Are you ready to meet the kids?

Sky: Wait what? I thought we were only gonna guard it, I didn't know anything about becoming a babysitter!

Lyla: *giggles* Did you even read the mission paper?

Sky: No why?

Lyla: It said there that we needed to occasionally look over the kids when the caretaker isn't around

Sky: What?!! I really need to read more

*sigh* oh well I guess there's no going back now. I regret not telling my mom and dad face to face that i loved them and that i was going to leave, if i make it out alive i think i'll go home immediately.

Lyla: Oh come on! You make it sound like it's the end of the world, stop being so overdramatic, it's just a couple kids.

Sky: No you don't understand, when i studied at the academy I failed ONE test and I got punished. I was tasked with looking after the teachers children and.... ughhh i don't want to talk about it

Lyla: Okay? Oh, we're here!

Old woman: Hello there young lads, you must be the adventurers that accepted the mission for guarding the orphanage, please come inside

Old woman: My name is Aurelle, i'm the owner of the orphanage and also the the ONLY caretaker here.

Lyla: What?! How are you able to manage an orphanage all by yourself?!

Aurelle: Well that's the thing, i can't manage an orphanage all by myself.

That's why I often post f rank quests that needs the adventurer to occasionally watch over the kids, So in short the "Guard the orphanage" means "Become babysitters".

Sky: Oh man, I hate this!

Lyla: Sky! don't be rude, we already accepted the quest so we have to finish it. I'm sorry my friend just isn't good with children, and by the way when do we start working?

Aurelle: It's ok, you can start....... today actually!, it seems that today is grocery day so i won't be able to watch over the kids.

Lyla: Ok that's great the sooner the better!

(The following week was filled with joy and laughter as sky learns that the kids are really sociable and playful and are fun to be with)
