Again the music started.. and the man began to sing.. he sang the first para perfectly.. but..

The music stopped and so did the man inside the glass room with a sigh..

Seo Joon picked his bag and left the studio room..
Jungkook stared at his silent studio room.. why was he so distracted today? Why can’t he sing the chorus perfectly?
He knows where his voice usually gives up.. the first paragraph is his favorite.. he wrote this song himself and was planning to release it next month., however, with the pace he is working right now, the release time line seems to be a long coast..
Kook walked out of his recording room and went to the music system.. he took a chair opposite a table and looked at his song script..
The lyrics were shining before his eyes
But the word “CAN’T” seems to make his heart stop..
He whispered to himself..
He trailed his index finger on the chorus.. reading each and every word more attentively..
Kook kept reading the words.. letting it sink in his soul..
He closed his eyes again..

Kook started to humm randomly and his voice echoed in the silent room.. his eyes were closed and he was just preparing his voice to feel those lyrics genuinely

He opened his eyes and stared at the first sentence of the chorus

Kook said each and every word slowly..he began with a lighter pace and moulded his voice higher at the end..
A voice echoed in his ears..
♾”Kookie, call me.. I miss you”
Kook stopped and opened his eyes.. his heart beat accelerated and drummed in his ears by now..
He looked around the room..It was so silent but everything inside him was restless
He closed his eyes again.. and decided to pick the pace from the second line..

Kook began with a softer exhale.. his voice getting intense at the word hold and it got deeply higher at the end
But a voice again broke his trance
♾ “silly, I will always hold you.. come in my arms it’s so cold out here.. “
Kook snapped his eyes opened and this time he slammed his head on the table and caged his hands around it.. he kept breathing heavily
His shoulders kept shaking as he breathed slowly and waited for the voice to disappear..
Kook wanted everything inside his ears to be silent.. he waited for it to happen indicating that this wasn’t the first time such things happened with him.. in fact, moments like this always had their ways to crawl back in his heart, in his mind, in his soul..
Once the voice finally died down.. kook lifted his head up and stared at the lyrics again.. he was determined to get this chorus right
His doe eyes blinked at the parchment.. he got a grip of the words.. and again closed his eyes as he prepared his voice to sing

His higher range voice engulfed the room..
This time another voice echoed in his ears
It was his own voice.. as he said those words.. his eyes saw a beautiful man’s face.. a boxy smile blinded him.. scared, he opened his eyes..
And kook let the word “can’t” out like a cry.. his voice broke at that word and it stiffened before a cry escaped his mouth like an echo
Kook stopped everything..
He touched his heart.. patting it gently..
Why was he getting memories of a man he had to let go? This shouldn’t be happening.. but since past few days, the memories of a man who smiled boxy like has been invading his life more frequently.. it took him so much time to get rid of that face and now it feels like kook is back to nothing

Kook dared again to stare at his own lyrics.. he wanted to get it right no matter what.. he shouldn’t be troubled with a past that took his everything to overcome.. he shouldn’t be weak.. not now.. especially not now because he is going to get married soon..
With a tint of stubbornness.. kook again began to sing.. he didn’t need to look at the script this time.. he was going to fight his heart now..

Kook ended the chorus perfectly this time and opened his eyes.. he sang his heart out ignoring those voices which always made his whole body electrified..
Kook breathed the words out as the boxy smile of a beautiful man disappeared for good before his eyes
A tring noise was heard in the room.. kook looked at his phone which was lying idly on the table.. a name propping on the screen written as “my love”
Kook smiled lightly and picked the phone..

Kook took deep breaths as he felt himself being relaxed… if it wasn’t for Jimin, kook knows he would have died a thousand times in his misery..

'kay, I made my way back to this chapter because, it's my favourite one in the entire book. It is cause, before reading this I didn't liaten to 'my time',I knew it was released but was stalling from listening to it. But after I read these lyrics, it immediately struck me that I HAVE to listen to it. And the moment I did, I knew this song will stay with me for a long time. And right now, my time is playing in Spotify and I can't help but think about this part of the story. The deep connection of When We First Fell In Love and My Time is something that I can't put to words: When I read WIFFIL I remember My time and when I listen to my time I remember WIFFIL..
