First Heartbreak

While Lisa was in college,her mom Dara has overworked even more,causing her to get very ill and then passed away a year before Lisa graduates in her college.

But before she died,she made Lisa promise to finish her studies and don't overwork like she did which caused her health to decline rapidly.

She even made her daughter raise her hand to promise,that she will never go to the city and that she must take care of her dad when he will come back.

"And also Lisa,please, after you graduate and has your own medical license,please take care of yourself,build your own family,because I don't want you to live alone,you need a family of your own" Dara added weakly.

"Mom,I'm fine I will just serve our villagers and I will be fine,they're my family. I don't need to have another one" Lisa answered while crying holding her mom's frail and cold hands.

"No,I've been through that,I thought my job was enough to make me happy but I ended up searching for love, until I got married to your dad. That's the only time my life had a meaning and direction" Dara said squeezing her daughter's soft hands.

"And besides,no matter how you spend all your life to other people, at the end of the day, no one will be there to take care of you like the way you do to me now" Dara continued softly.

"What if he will hurt me?" Lisa asked cluelessly

"That's part of love,don't be afraid to love,actually,I loved your dad but he didn't love me at first and it hurted me,it was only when you came into our lives that he started to love me back ,it hurted me but I accepted my fate on him, that's why I was so happy when you came because I thought I didn't need him to love me back, because I have you., But... he learned to love me and I was the happiest when that day came. Because of that, I felt like I was loved by the whole world " Dara said smiling widely at her daughter.

That night was the last conversation they had because the next morning, Dara didn't wake up anymore. Lisa cried and cried til she passed out.

Lisa was so devastated that time but she had to move on and accept that she is now all by herself but she had to be strong for the villagers.

When her mom was still alive,Lisa has done nothing but go to school and help her mom in her clinic, that's why she learned so fast and became very good in handling patients, even when she was still in highschool.

And because of that she also never had a clue about relationships. Yes,she noticed many opposite sex looking at her and stealing glances at her but she never entertained the thoughts of giving them a chance to approach her.

She even never had watched any romantic movies or read romantic or love stories.

She was too focused on her studies,helping her mom in her clinic and serving the villagers.

The only love story she knows, is her mom's and dad's, that ended tragically because he has left them.

He left them with hopes to come back one day, but until now he's still nowhere to be found and it's even more tragic because her mom died before he even came back if he ever will come back. So, their family will never be whole again.

Even if she never had a relationship to any opposite sex,her life was never been boring because it was full of hopes and wonders waiting for her dad,worrying for her mom and full of pressure attending to the villagers needs,she was always busy and exhausted.

She spent her whole life being pressured no matter how hard Dara tried to convince her to spend her time sometime with friends. Lisa always chose to stay with her mom to help her and learn more about medical stuffs.

Few months after her mom died,some villagers were fighting for leadership because she can't lead yet especially she was most of the time not in the village because of her studies.

Then the division of parties in the village was becoming bigger until there were brutal fights which Lisa can not handle especially as student and still a girl. They wouldn't listen to her because of her age and gender status.

Until one day,the wrong person took the leadership position by force that caused more trouble in the village.

The new leader even didn't respect Lisa anymore.

Lisa just reminded them that they still own the whole village but the other arrogant villagers mocked her.

The good villagers still supported her and just told her to better get away because those greedy villagers might plot to kill her so that they will own the small village and the properties her parents left her.

Lisa was scared so she obeyed those few who stayed loyal to her and left the village.

She let the loyal ones look after her house and her remaining properties.

"Dad,I wish you will come back and redeem our properties from these greedy ungrateful ones who want to take over our properties. They have become arrogant and ungrateful" Lisa cried while looking at their old family portrait for the last time.

Dara has saved enough for her aside from the properties left in the village so ,Lisa was able to settle down in the nearby city where she was studying.

She brought with her two daughters of the loyal workers from the village and served as her maid and assistant in the clinic.

When she finally graduated and had her medical license,she opened a small clinic in her small house.

She bought the small building and the first floor was her clinic, while the second floor she used as her office and the 3rd floor,was her unit where she lived and the fourth floor were rooms for her assistant and maid.

Everything was going smoothly,until one weekend when she was in a mall buying her personal needs at home,her assistant in the clinic called that there was an emergency.

She rushed back to her clinic,it was weekend and her clinic was closed, but according to the assistant,it was a mom giving birth and they can't bring her to the other hospital due to heavy traffic,they just saw her clinic while stuck on traffic so the husband took her wife to her clinic and begged if they can attend to his wife.

Lisa used an alternative route inorder to get faster to her clinic, but her speed lost control and she hit a very expensive car..she saw a big damage on the side of his car so she knows the car owner is surely from a wealthy family and would surely be so mad.

They both pulled off,then a very handsome guy went out from the car and looked at her without words but full of questions in his eyes,he was wearing shades but Lisa can feel his anger.

She fell on her knees and begged him to let her go because she has an emergency and needs to go.

Before the man could even speak she stood up and handed him her calling card.

"Here's my calling card,you...you can call me after this,just let me go right now I really just need to go now!" she said then rode her car and left.

The man's car's damage was just a big scratch on the side but he can't just let it slide even if he has much money, so he followed her.
