Servant quarter

It was almost a month Nora, Dora and Tengkam plucking vegetables, fruits and catching fish and selling them at village market. They were making money. After selling and eating food at afternoon three of them were resting.

Nora was saving to build better small house, in place of their hut thinking of redecorating she was thinking about building a shop and growing vegetables near her house, she was just thinking about it. Tengkam showing Dora drawing in a mud a house that he want to build in future. There was Nodime at their hut asking for Nora, she was a servant from their house owner where Nora and Dora work for food. She was proud and made Nora to do her chores, they were paid servants while Nora and Dora were just working their only for lunch and dinner.

Nodime (Seeing Dora outside a hut): "Call Nora out, I have no time hurry...hurry...fast...fast"

Dora stand up and was about to get inside the hut to called her sister when Dora rush out,

Dora: " What happen Abi Nodime?"

Nodime: (shouting) "What... what happen, what happen to both of you, why don't you two come for work, madame is asking for both of you come and work, we can't look after the kids and work, Dora you have to come tomorrow morning with your sister to look after the kids while your sister has to work"

Dora: "We don't work there anymore, why should we come?"

Nodime (shocked): " you...you.. don't work anymore, where are you working then, you should come or else I'll report you two"

Nora: "We will go tomorrow to tell madame that we are not working for them, we are not paid servants, we just worked their for foods, now we know how to earn our food we no longer need the work"

Nodime (mocking and smiling): "earning..... living in depleted servant quarter, do you two can just live with little of your earning, you two don't have roof over your head, it's madame kindness that you two can live here in servant quarter without even not coming to work for a month, make sure you two show your dirty face tomorrow to explain"

Nodime then left with proud face. Nora and Dora was shocked after hearing their parents small hut being called neighbours servant quarter.

The sun was about to set, so Tengkam bid them farewell. That night Nora couldn't sleep again thinking that she couldn't save their parents farms, back then she didn't even know how to save the land when they were marked as theirs by the people living near them, now the only small hut being called servant quarter and is about to be snatch how Will she fight back. She has to be strong she is not going to give this house, our own place our parents place. She got out of bed she look at black box under bed which was her only thing of her parents. She never had a clue what's in there she never studied so she never knew what papers were there. Thinking about the hut that night she cried and felt asleep.
