Ch-03. Can I Find You, Midori?

A white car stopped in front of a big house. The driver rushed out and ran around to the side of the car. With his head bowed, the driver of the car opened the passenger door.

A black-haired, handsome man came out of the car, saying, “Thank you, Kikuchi-san.”

After that he walked into the house in which the household servants of that house immediately bowed down and wished him in unison, “Welcome home, Young Master.”

The man nodded and responded by saying “Thank you.”

He then continued on until he reached one of the rooms upstairs, then entered the room. His eyes fixed directly on the large frame above the head of the bed. Slowly he walked over to the bed and stood beside the bed. His eyes never leaving the frame, which had a picture of a light-brown haired man wearing glasses and smiling brightly.

One of the handsome man's hand lifted, gently stroking the photograph on the frame, he said in a yearning low voice, “My wife. Did you know that I miss you the most? Where are you at the moment? Can I find you Midori, my sweet wife?"

Meanwhile…

In a simple little apartment, a man in an apron covered his shirt and jeans, standing next to the stove and seemed to be organizing food into two lunchboxes.

He turned his head as he heard the voice of the little boy saying good morning to him, smiling and saying to the little one, “Good morning, Chiaki. Your breakfast is ready. I’ll be joining you for breakfast as soon as I’m done.”

The little boy sat down at the table cupped his hands together and said itadakimasu, and then while carrying his chopsticks, he asked, “Mommy. Are you going to work soon?”

The man smiling, then said, “Yes, honey.”

The little boy asked his mother again, “As your promise. Today, you’ll attending the parents’ meeting at my school, right, mommy?”

“Yeah. Mommy will come for the meeting.” The man said as he walked to the table, placed one of the lunch box next to his son, and then he sat down across from the boy.

But. Today, the K&S coffee shop where Midori works for nearly three years has been very busy and made him forget the promise he made with his son. It’s almost noon when Midori remembered about the parents meeting at his son’s school.

He rushed to Sakamoto (The first and longest employee at the K&S coffee shop and was also the one appointed by the K&S coffee shop owner to be responsible for running the coffee shop)

Then, the omega said to him, "Sakamoto-san. Can I go home early today? I have to attend the parents meeting at my son’s school.”

“As you know. The shop so busy today, so I can’t give you the permission to leave early.” Said Sakamoto.

Midori clasped his hands and said, pleading with his tearful face, “Oh… Please, Sakamoto-san. Just for today. I promise after this and in a month, I won't take any more day off to make up for today.”

Sighing, Sakamoto finally said, “Okay. I’ll allow it. But, remember your promise, Watanabe-kun.”

Smiling brightly, the omega then saying, “I will. Thank you very much, Sakamoto-san. You’re the best manager in the world.”

“Just go, Watanabe-kun.” Said Sakamoto as he shook his head to see the omega rushed to the employee room.
