5. The Stalker and ' Mr. Knight '

Today is Willka Corporation's current CEO's birthday, I see. I knew that he was very young when he became the company's CEO. He was the Chairman's only grandson.

Unlike Melinoe, they had branches all over the world. Also, they were the top conglomerates in Ireland and the United Kingdom.On the contrary, Melinoe was 1st in England and 2nd in United Kingdom. Cut to the chase, they contribute 32 percent of the world's economy.

I smiled saying, ''Thank you for the offer and I wish him a very happy birthday earnestly'', to the receptionist and turned to only see Anna freezed to move. I slightly patted her shoulder, bringing her to reality.

She turned to me,'' Hey Agnes, by any chance have you know anything about WC personally. I mean do you know about the family of theirs' ?''.

I didn't expect her to ask such a question, but I told her truthfully, '' If you ask personal, hmmm.....I have to disappoint you by saying a 'NO'. However, professionally 'YES'. I think its last summer, we, in detail, our both companies were invited to a common function. I haven't seen the birthday day boy or their family since I had to leave early for some reasons. For a popular figure like him need no introduction, Ann. That day other than the function's motive, they were the one to be popular. That's when I heard of them first and I myself had done some homework you know'', I winked at her with a smirk.

She then scanned me top to bottom, ''Agnes, I don't know whether you are lucky or unlucky. How come you didn't meet them. Also, what's the so called work that you had to leave early leaving such an opportunity. You know how it's once in a blue moon chance. We can't get to see such persons daily. The chances are very slim you know'' , she bursted without a gap.

''Ann, relax. You don't have to go this high, Calm down now. And I know that it was a rare chance but I have a feeling that I can meet them soon. If you ask me what was important work that day, that's a 'Monday' like today'', I smiled.

I can see that she can't reply for this, '' Okay young lady, now cheer up. Our lunch is over and time for work''. I grabbed her hand and took her to the parking. '' okay, give me the keys and wait here,Agnes'' she said and walked towards the parked car.

I waited a few meters away for her scrolling the mobile when I heard footsteps. I lifted my head to see who, but I can't see anyone and the footsteps ceased. I turned to walk towards the car and footsteps followed me. I sensed someone in my back. I had a feeling of someone following us from the time we left the office. But I ignored them thinking that's not possible. But now it is confirmed that someone is stalking us.

I took my mobile and dialled a number. The person on the otherside quickly answered me '' Yes'' in a cold but revered voice. ''MY LOCATION'' , saying that I disconnected the call and hopped in the car.

We reached the company to continue our work. I ran through my files and work the whole afternoon. I stopped only when the alarm I kept for reminder.

I called Anna to my cabin. When she came I told her, '' Get ready Ann, I'm sending you home'' . She seemed a little shock and continued, ''Agnes is there any problem? Usually it's my job to remind you go home , but it's totally reversed. What happened?''.

''Alex is coming. So get ready ,Anna''. She knew that something's wrong . Instead of pestering me, she said, '' I understand. I'll be ready in five'' while leaving my cabin.

I also wrapped up my small works and got out of cabin. Anna joined me in the elevator to ground floor. When we reached there, a man in white shirt and black tuxedo greeted us. He had a good body and few inches more than me in height. His light green eyes scanned our surroundings in few milliseconds.

''Hello Alex, thanks for picking us up'' I greeted him with a smile. I can see his lips curled up to add more charm to his handsome face with a sharp jawline. '' I think you had a peaceful afternoon Mam'' he answered me and his eyes turned to the person next to me .

With a sly smile he added, ''Ha! I can sense trouble standing near you. You must be careful. If you wish I can accompany you daily, you know''.

I can't help but chuckle when I saw nerves popping out on Anna's forehead. Within a flash she countered, ''You!! Mr. Alexander Knight, do I look like a trouble in your eyes. If that's the case you're wrong. I'm her best friend ''.

He smiled at her, '' Oh dear, I didn't say that the trouble was you Ms. Anna. I referred the one in the afternoon. ''

Anna and Alex started their bickering. At the first it was good to see them fighting , but not so long. ''Okay enough !!! you two stop your children's fight and now get ready to leave''. I dragged them both to the car.

Alex got my key and proposed to drive. We three left the office in my car. Anna came to her senses and asked me about what happened. I told her everything about the stalker and me calling alex for help.

I turned to Alex, ''Did you know the cause?'' while he replied with a glance full of dejection, '' They were after the 'YOU' whom you are covering and the number is increasing recently and you know it's not good for you''.

I sighed, '' Alex you have to promise me that you'll keep it a secret from 'them'' ok?'. He stunned hearing me, after composing himself ''Mam, you know that I can't keep that secret for long. The secret will come out eventually. I have to disappoint you in this matter. I'm really sorry mam'', he continued driving the car.

We left Anna in her home and took a detour to the opposite direction for 'MY DINNER'.
