The New Adventure

Chapter 3: NEW ADVENTURE

A few months had passed by since I and Alana came to this household. Our life right now is not that bad. I know our life has just started but right now.

It is just that not only do we have a good mother, a caring and honest father, and funny aunt Lyla.

Everything is going well except for the breastfeeding process we baby have to go through.

I know, right now. I have the body of a child. And it is the paramount process we have to go through for a baby to have good health and body.

I can even compromise with that, but the main issue is my curiosity to see the new world. Due to the way Alana was treated. She was held without any physical equipment that doctors use. Now, I'm interested to seek out all knowledge of this world.

I came up with two hypotheses for that. The first one is that this world is so advanced that.

They have successfully created nanotechnology or the second one is that I end up in a world where things can't be explained by science.

My money is on the first one. It seems more logical.

I am now lost in thoughts. I don't know. Where I am, but I do know this life is going to be so exciting with a new thing to learn.

I didn't think I would be fortunate enough to learn new things, being said that I already know everything my old world had to offer.

I am not going to brag or anything But let me say this. I was a genius in my past life. I had no problem learning any subjects whether it's your science, literature, economics, politics. I was a jack of all trades and a master of knowledge.

I know I know right now you all be like 'what an arrogant prick. How can a human be that perfect?' but hey!! I am not. I am not perfect. I had my issue and had problems that even I can not solve like I'm mentally unstable and an introvert.

In my past life, I didn't have a single friend or loved one except for my sister. I treated my colleagues like they were invisible due to this problem. Some thought that I was arrogant and selfish. This is just one of the many more problems that I had in me.

Top pit all of, I also had the luck of a golden goose. you might ALL have learned about the story in your childhood.

I could solve many problems that my world was suffering from and help the nation's but due to the greed and jealousy of my colleagues and competitors and my stupidness had killed me and my sister Alice.

I was blessed with a mind like no other, But the gift that was given to me came with the price of unimaginable problems and challenges.

God also gave me a stroke of bad luck as no man can understand.

Not that I am afraid of the challenges' God gave me, but the action I took affected the lives of others in a bad way that I can't expect myself.

Sure, we are humans, we are born to make some mistakes. So, that, we can learn from our previous mistakes and improve ourselves.

But the mistakes I made. Made me regret it a lot.

whatever it's not like I can change the past and there is a saying in my old world that ' THE PAST IS HISTORY FUTURE IS MYSTERY BUT TODAY IS A GIFT THAT'S WHY IT'S CALLED PRESENT.'

I should enjoy this life that was gifted to me by the gods and create a life that I can be proud of.

I can't even control my excitement anymore.

But I should be careful. there is also a saying that curiosity kills the cat.

I don't know why? But I have a feeling that. This adventure of mine is also going to be filled with adversities.

Well, Who cares about that as I said It's not like I'm scared or anything, actually quite the opposite.

I'm so excited to explore this new world. I can not wait any more, but I have to wait for a few years for that. For now, I should enjoy this baby time with Alana. Who knows what the future stores for me.

After The following couple of months after my birth, a new kind of torture was waiting for me.

'I had no motor control over my body except being able to wave my limbs around, and even that got tiring quickly.

On the bright side, One of the few perks of not being able to move is that. I don't have to deal with the assholes of this world right now.

Every world has one or two people like that, but what can you do?'

Out of nowhere, I heard a familiar voice.

" James, Salina, are you there?" Lyla said.

'So aunt Lyla came back!! nice.'

"Ohh… Lyla!!, you returned. How come... I thought you said it would take a few more days for you to come back." My father asked.

"Yes, I also thought that, but people in Garcia have a teleporter working there. So here I am, by the way, where is salina?" Lyla asked.

"I told her to rest, she's been working all day but you know her, she won't listen to me. Right now, she's washing the dishes." my father said.

" Ohh… I see, then where are Griffin and Alana?" Lyla asked.

"Alana and Griffin are playing in the baskets in the next room." My father said,

" Hmm, … did we get any patients today?" Lyla asked.

"Actually, yes, only one kid came by with a minor injury. So I dealt with him."

'Huh... My father can also use that technology, Nice so that means I can also learn that.' I thought.

" Ok, so I'm free for now. Thanks, by the way, for looking after the patients.

So, which tier are you at" Lyla asked?

"I don't know, I haven't checked it yet, but by the supply of mana and speed. I would say I am at dilettante tier 8." My father said with a puffed-up chest and voice showing a little bit of arrogance.

" Nice for you, Ok let's go to the next room. I'm tired and hungry. Let's see if salina could make us something to eat." Lyla said.

Lyla and my father came to the kitchen while my mother was washing dishes. As her eyes went towards them she said in a joyful voice.

"Ohh… Lyla, you are back. How's your journey? " my mother asked.

" You know, same old same old. Nothing is new." Lyla said.

" Ohh… sorry to ask. But I do have a suggestion for you. so that you can enjoy life a bit more. How about you go to one of the blind dates? Who knows, You might meet someone who can make your life exciting ." my mother said in a delightful voice.

" Sorry, but I don't have any intentions of doing that and time to spend on trivial things. I am already quite busy." Lyla said with a frustrated voice.

" ok-ok, but do try. You can not spend your whole life alone. You know." my mother said.

She started pestering her.

"FINE!! I will try Happy now." Lyla said in a loud fed-up voice.

"Yes!!!, now that's a spirit come sit. I will prepare your favorite dish." my mother said with a happy face.

" Yippee, now you are talking.

So, how's your health? Any pain you're feeling." Lyla asked.

" Nope, nothing, no pain. It's just that I crave sugar more often than before. that's all."

My mother said in a thinking voice.

" ok, it's just a little side effect of using healing magic on you for a long time, you will be normal in no time! " Lyla said.

'Huh wait a minute. Magic, Did I hear that correctly? what the... That means that the thing she did was... how... How is this even possible? If it is true, Am I even in my previous dimension?

Now you are making things even more difficult for me, God. How do you expect me to control myself now?

It's not like I can not believe this magic stuff.

It's just what choice do I have. I am reincarnated. so I have to believe it.

Now, you had to send me to a place where everything is new. Ugh, I will have to control myself.  Be patient Griffin, Be patient. You have a long journey and time ahead of you. You will get your answers. Be patient.'

As my mother began to prepare herself for cooking. Out of nowhere, She said, "Ok...oops shit. I forgot to bring the ingredients. Does anyone wanna come with me to the market?" My mother asked. While turning toward my father.

" Nope, I'm not going. I am going to play with my princess." my father said.

"How about you Lyla? Do you want to come with us?" My mother asked.

" Sure, I can, How about we also take griffin with us," Lyla asked as she turned toward me.

" Do you want to come with us, little guy?" Lyla asked.

'Do you even have to ask, of course, I am going to say yes?' I said that while big smiling on my face and moving my libs recklessly to showcase my excitement.

" Look, this guy is so excited," Lyla said while looking at me.

While me being carried on my mother's back by a cradle-trap of some sort. I left the house and went with her and Lyla. To what they called town. This town of 'partlyputra .'  it's is situated 1 km away from our house.

It was more of a glorified outpost, seeing that there were no roads or buildings. We walked on the main dirt trail where there were tents on both sides with various merchants and salesmen selling all sorts of things- from common everyday necessities to things I couldn't help but raise a brow because of things like weapons, armor, and rocks...shining rocks!

' I do know that I am in a world filled with magic but why are civilians allowed to carry weapons? These are not your normal weapons, they are different.'  I was answered when a burglar tried to steal from the store and in an instant was slashed out on his back by a giant ax that a big mustache guy was carrying. He didn't kill him, it was just a big scratch. A soldier came to see this and asked the man what was happening while stating the man was an adventurer.

So, People who carry weapons are either soldiers or adventurers.

While they are taking my thoughts were like

'The strangest thing that I couldn't seem to get used to was a person who is carrying gigantic war axes that you see in movies. It was larger than him! I know katana's but I didn't see an ax in real-life.'

Anyway, mother kept talking to Lyla and exchanging pleasantries with various people passing by or working in the booths. Meanwhile, my body turned against me once again. Not only did I poop in my diapers again. I also fell asleep…

'Damn this body of mine.'

After I woke up, I found myself at home. It was nighttime so After eating our dinner.

My family then started preparing for sleep, then out of nowhere, an interesting thing happened.

Some men came knocking at the front of our door for medical treatment but after the treatment, they started arguing with my father about baseless things.

Then out of nowhere in the heat of an argument, one man tried to grab my father's coller. Others dudes looked at my mother and Lyla with perverted eyes.

But as that man approached my father. Then out of nowhere, three adult-sized boulders emerged from the ground.

one on the left-hand side and one on the right-hand side of my father. Then my father instantly grabbed that guy's head by his hair and bashed it with one of the boulders by moving his head. Then again repeat the same step with another boulder at his right-hand side. Other dudes by seeing that.

They looked at each other and tried to grab me and my sister but by seeing this Lyla reacted in an instant and used some sort of her magic to cut one's leg by the ankle and the other one was slammed to the ground by the unknown force.

The force was so great that it formed a small crater on our floor.

My eyes were wide and sparkling by seeing the scene that was unfolding in front of me and with keeping that idiotic face I thought.

' Holy moly, it was so cool!!! My father is amazing.' I hadn't expected my own idiotic and Guffy father to show me this type of reaction. 'Man… you can not judge the book by its cover; this statement is hence proved by my father.'

By looking at the aftermath of this action

In my mind, I was like

'What in the... name of... That was?'

Wow, I had no idea that Lyla was this strong and my father...  brutal. I thought he…

'Man, appearance can be so deceiving. With force and action, he hit the man. I was compelled to drop my underwear for him... that's not what I meant to say. It's like watching a Hollywood action movie.'

As everything settles down Lyla said in a loud voice.

" You...the ****!!!,  you don't have to be this violent. You bashed his face completely. it's all broken now." Lyla said in a shocked and loud voice with pity in her eyes for the man.

" Sorry, I didn't mean to do this. It was just a reflex." my father said with an apologetic look.

"You have to control your strength when you are facing civilians. You are not in the army now. Don't forget this fact. we can not hide from them if you are going to be like this." Lyla said in an angered voice.

'Huh… Army, I thought my father was a normal healer like Lyla.

So that's why he is so good at hand-to-hand combat but from whom are they hiding?'

Now, I really can't wait if things are going to be like this.

"I know, it's just after sensing their intent out of nowhere that they are going after griffin and Alana, I forgot about my strength." My father said in an apologetic voice.

" Ok, but now you are the one who is going to clean this mess. I'm not helping, Let's go salina." Lyla said.

"But why only me!! You also bashed that guy to the ground by using your gravity magic." My father asked but as he spoke those words Lyla glared at him with those eyes that make you want to kill yourself.

"Sorry!! You don't have to bother to do trivial things. I made those mistakes. so I'm the one who's going to clean up this mess." My father said in a frightened voice.

" That's better, now everything is set. We should get to sleep. It's already past 12. Salina, you should go back to Griffin and Alana. I think they woke up."

Lyla said while yawning and walking towards her bedroom.

" Sorry Honey, I know you didn't mean to, and don't worry about what Lyla said.  She, just looking after us. that's all." My mother said,

  "I know I am not sad about that. It's just I have to clean all the mess. even lylas." My father said.

" Don't worry, you can do this. I know You are an expert at this. " my mother said.

"Sometimes being good can have its problems. Well, I do have to face the punishment.  you should go back to sleep, it might take some time to clear this all up." my father said.

"Ok, goodnight honey." my mother said.

'As more time is passing. It feels like I am the protagonist in a novel.

What a day. Now I can not wait to grow up and learn about this so-called magic. if my father is this strong with hand-to-hand combat. That means some people in this world are stronger than my father out there.

So If I don't want to repeat the same mistakes then I have to be more powerful so that I can protect my family and solve the mystery of this world.

I'm so excited if every day of my life is going to be this Interesting. Then I have no qualms about coming to this world.
