ch - 3. what is going on?

Now, that I think about it....within the two days of my rebirth, I heard various rumours about the Kingdom from the maid who was taking care of me (yeah, you guessed correctly she is the maid no.2). Apparently the first and second prince are born from different mothers and since I am the first princess of the empire born by the empress herself, I am the only one with legitimate rights to inherit the throne. The first prince, lost his mother at a young age and was taken care by my mother, the empress. although he is cursed, my mother took apparently good care of him. Since the first prince was cursed no matter how hard he worked or no matter how great his talent was, No one really cared for him resulting in his current cold personality. My mother although took Care of him but she was still restricted by the laws and the curse.

while the second prince obviously was spoiled since an early age being the only normal child (until I was born). He, as a member of the royal family also had great talents but since the first prince was cursed He was the one who always recieved. However, as they became grown ups (15yrs) The first prince due to his talents got favoured by various high class nobles leading to the jealousy of the second prince. They were always at each others throat, until I was born. So after that what happened?, You already can predict. Since I was born with a pretty sparking ring that had a diamond in the shape of heart apparently what they call is the heart diamond, which is abundant in mana comparable to an S rank, they both want to take my life. Well, that was obviously what was going on but..........now? what the hell are they doing? I guess, I better escape fast. Now I am seriously regretting not being a goddess anymore.

“Elder brother, where do you think you are going with the little princess?" said, The second prince, also the Duke of the country, Albert.

" You..think you can stop me" said the first prince, Lucifer.

" No, of course not! how can I stop you my brother, the country's strongest secret force",said Albert smirkingly."But of course..." he continued " I can't guarantee the safety of the empress, oops the previous empress who is held captive by the church"

"You....how dare you?! Holding a royal as a captive leads is equal to capital crime and the only punishment for such crime is death!" said, Lucifer shaking with anger. He embraced me tightly so that I could not see what's going to happen next. However of course , even if he doesn't let me , I can see it by myself with magic. "pfft......ha ha ha!" i heard a loud laughter, which sounded like Albert's.

" Dear brother, how could you be so naive~ it should have been a capital crime only if the current emperor was alive, He is long dead. His body must be rotting in the corner" said Albert with an evil grin on his face.

" How dare..you! wait....so that means you and your evil mother had planned this long ago huh? Planning a rebellion alongside church so that the soldiers and the emperor would be busy fighting, holding the empress captive to lure the emperor , assassinating him so that the crown would be empty, now that I as a cursed prince can't take the position as a emperor and since the princess is too young for the crown the one taking the crown.."

"would be me. Bingo! brother however....you are forgetting something. You know, how could the lovely second prince who is known for his innocence and kindness kill his own father. There must be some other reason for him to invade the capital with the church.....for example preventing the first prince from killing the emperor and escaping with the royal princess having the jewel of the prophesy" said Albert.

" Haha...just how did I never realise your real face behind that mask, even though we were always on each others throat but I always thought of you as my brother, but you....."

" However my brother, if you give me the princess, I will of course let you escape and I will clear up your name." said Albert with a sincere face.

" You think.. I can't notice the church's people who are hidden inside the palace?" said Lucifer with a grim face.

well, after seeing all these I seriously pity the first prince, if only.....I was a goddess like before.
