"Diluc!" You cried out as you walked in to his tavern "I just came back from Liyue and I finally accomplished my last commission!"

"Hm yeah, congrats" he said that made you frown a little, he's not the old Diluc you once knew ever since his father died right before his eyes and ever since he left the Ordo Favonius

The way he responded to you was nothing like 5 years ago

"Diluc, I'm back!" You cried out as you sat in a chair "I'm done clearing out those hilichurl camps, you have got to believe me, there was this Samachurl and those, what do you call them again? Those big black hilichurl with shields?"

"Hey I know you can do more, trust me" Diluc smiled at you that made you feel more relaxed

"I know you can clear out more hilichurl camps and defeat slimes, Fatuis, Abyss Mages or even ruin guards" he smiled as his kiss you forehead and treated you to dinner as a celebration that you came back alive from your dangerous commission

"Are you sure you're going to continue? You know how much Master Diluc will be frustrated if he caught you wondering at that place" Katheryne exclaimed as you are getting ready for battle

"You know that this commission can cost you your life if your not that ready right?"

"I was born to do this, now excuse me" you said, coldly as you walk away but before you know it someone hold your wrist and it was Barbara

"Miss Y/n, where are you going at this late hour?" Barbara asked you confusingly

"I just need to finish my one last commission before I rest for the day" you said that made Barbara even more confused

"I need to take off then, bye!" You said as you ran out of the walls, Barbara yelled your name but you didn't listen or even stopped a while to look at her

Without hesitation, Barbara asked Katheryne on what commission your on and she gasped when she learned about it

"I have to tell Master Jean! She's not safe going there alone by herself!" Barbara thought as he ran down to Diluc's tavern while like most of the time, it's super loud and noisy

As she opened the door, a loud thud was heard that made everyone fell into silence

"What's wrong?" Jean asked Barbara

"Y-y/n she's taking a commission all on herself" Barbara said as she was catching her breath

"She'll be fine, she had done ton of commissions and she always return fine" Venti said

"But this commission is different, all of the adventurers declined this commission but her, she accepted the commission she once decline, this is a deadly one, according to Katheryne, you must face on a deadly path to Inazuma, face Baal and her guards, if you lose, you'll be thrown out into a pit with no way out, and no one survived that commission" Barbara explained that made Diluc stand up to his feet

"Where is she? Tell me, now!" Diluc said as he slammed the glass down to the table "She shouldn't done that! Does she even know what she's dealing with?!"

Barbara nodded that made Diluc's vision glow

"Diluc, calm down, we'll get to her as soon as possible, Barbara please tell Lisa that she'll look out at Mondstadt for me, as for you Venti, Diluc and Kaeya, let's go" Jean ordered, and the 4 rushed out to the tavern to go with you

Meanwhile in Inazuma, the only reason your doing this is because you had enough of all the pain, despite the 7 years relationship with Diluc, you just can't take it anymore, you're relationship with him is now, toxic

"Diluc can you get the aid ki-" you didn't finished your sentence when Diluc suddenly slapped you so hard in the face that made you fall down to the ground

"I don't need your help okay?! Stop messing with my life!" Diluc yelled at you that made you tear up

"Crying again?! Really y/n?! Do you think crying will solve all of this?!" He yelled at you once again that made you speechless

"If it wasn't for the Knights? I would definitely let them kill you!" Diluc said as he stormed out of the tavern, leaving you speechless and crying

The team arrived at the exact timing Baal strucked your heart with her sword, you failed to save Tohma, you failed your commission

This let the team frozen in place as Baal slowly took off the sword in your chest and struck it to you once again that made Diluc very mad, he charged Baal without any warning that made the team shocked of what he did, he battled Baal on his own and defeated her in just seconds, after he defeated her, he falled down to his knees and tears started to fall down to his cheeks

"Y/n you... promised me that you won't do this commission, r-right?" He said that made his tears fall even more

He went close to your body, expecting that it still has its pulse but no, no pulse, just a cold, lifeless hand

Jean went to Diluc and tapped him on the shoulder, as for Paimon, she was very mad

"If you hadn't been cold to her, she wouldn't have took that commission! And now look what you've done! She's already dead because of you!" Paimon exclaimed that made Venti and Kaeya sighed

"She's not dead, she's not, she's still breathing!" Diluc said and Jean just shut them up then Diluc started to cry again

-fast forward to 2 years-

It's been two years since y/n died and all of Mondstadt and Liyue grieving for your loss just for a meaningless commission but also saved millions of lives

As a "thank you" in their honor, your name is written at the history of Mondstadt and Liyue to let everyone know your bravery, Xiangling cooked a special delicacy and she named it after you, Venti wrote a song about you and your bravery, as for the rest? They just remembered the times you saved Mondstadt and Liyue millions of times

As for Diluc, he was sitting in his chair, waiting for you to barge in because he still believe that you're alive

Everytime the full moon arrives, He always go to you and his favorite location, at the Dawn winery's nearby lake wherein you guys had your first date, he would put flowers just like he normally do that past years, and have a scenery all on his own

"Y/n I'm sorry if I was a jerk, if I only I'd known, I would stop you earlier" Diluc said as he laid down on the grass, staring at the beautiful full moon, thinking that you were staring at him using the beautiful shine of the moon
