It was pitch-black darkness surrounding Julian. He trembled on knowing the fact that he is alone in a dark room. Tears rapidly fell down Julian's face, he was hugging his knees on what seem to be a floor.
His breathing wasn't steady whatsoever. He was trembling to the point that it looks like he was standing on ice with bear feet. He gritted his teeth and he was searching for light desperately
" No.. Please.. Anyone.. I don't want to be alone.. It's dark.. Please.. "
A bright light shined in front of Julian. He got up and ran after the light, desperately wanting to catch up to it, he didn't stop for a second and continued running after the light. The light soon consumed the whole place. Julian closed his eyes due to the brightness
Julian opened his eyes and saw a man's face up close, who seems to be carrying him. Julian was confused by the situation
' Huh? I'm being carried? But like dont I weight a lot? - '
Looking more closely at the man, he looks like someone in his 20s. He had traces of a beard, his skin tone wasn't that white, but not that dark either. His skin wasn't exactly smooth, nor silky either. He had emerald green eyes, and a pair of weird clothes.
He felt the hands that carried him was rough and had some cuts all over the hand. His shoulder was broad, and his shirt shaped his muscles
' This guy definitely isn't the type to take care of their skin '
Julian looked around the house. It looked like an old wooden cottage of some sort. It had no big glass window, the floors were dusty, the furnitures in the cottage were intended for only one person.
' This house isn't clearly the best and thats okay and all but.. '
Julian made a small grunt
' This position is so uncomfortable!! I feel like my neck will break off anytime soon! '
Julian raised his tiny chubby hands, making him realize that they are relatively smaller that before.
' Huh!? What the f°ck!? I mean my hands were a little small, but I know that it wasn't THIS small! '
The man looked at Julian again. He stared unto Julian as if examining him. Testing him, like some kind of detective interrogating the suspects
Julian just looked at him, staring back to the man. The man was shocked and amused by his actions. The man laughed enthusiasticlly
" Hahaha hahaha! What an interesting child! "
The man had a deep and cold voice. Julian looked at the man with confusion. The man looked back to Julian and started speaking
" Hello there child. I'm Jonathan Lant Dislhaine, and I'm going to be yer father from now on! "
Julian just looked at him confused. He then realized what the man just said to him
' Eh.. EH.. EHHHHH!? HE'S GOING TO BE MY FATHER!?? '
Julian raised his hands up in disbelief
' Who tf are you crazy man declaring himself to be my father!? '
Then the word father rang inside Julian's head. 'Father' To him, a father is a male, who is the one mainly protecting and getting income for the family. A person who is in highest position in the family, making most of the difficult choices together with the mother.
The man saw Julian raising his hands up. He let Julian hold on to his index finger, and smiled warmly at him. Like he is the most happiest man on earth right now.
Julian froze on seeing the old man. He stared at the man who was smiling at him,trying to figure out what he was feeling. He felt warmth from the man's smile and subconsciously smiled
The smile then faded to a grunt. Julian slowly let go of the man's finger, the man noticed his discomfort and position him differently. This time, Julian was sitting on the man's lower arm, making his tiny legs dangle down from the man's elbow.
The man looked at Julian and said
" I know they said that babies were small, but ya are really, really small compared to other kids. "
Julian just stared at the man. The man then said
" Anyways, I just can't keep calling ya child forever. I 'outta give ya a name. "
' You better give me a good one. And don't you look a little too young to be my father? '
The man placed a finger on his chin and thought for a while. He looked at Julian again and closed his eyes again. The man grumbled, murmuring
" What was that gem called again.. What was it.. "
Julian just gave the man some time. He looked around the cottage, collecting his thought, while the man was thinking. A few minutes of silence, the man shouted
" I got it! "
Julian flinched
' Wtf man!? You scared me! '
The man noticed Julian and apologized to him. He then said
" Aight, so I thought of a name for ya little guy "
'Oooh.. I'm getting a little excited! My first name after reincarnation! '
" Sooo, I thought about namin' ya.. "
Julian was excited and waiting in anticipation
" Amethyst Dislhaine. Well, what do you think? "
Julian froze upon hearing his new name. He didn't move at all, then the man continued
" It's actually a name of a gem that I found a few days ago! Wait, I think I still have it here somewhere. "
' Are you nuts man!? Giving me a girl's name after my reincarnation!? '
The man gently placed Julian's body on the chair, and went looking for the gem. He took his bag and took out the gem, he placed it on the table and kneeled facing Julian. He then said
" Look, isn't it a beautiful shade of purple like yer eyes? "
Julian snapped out of his thoughts. He looked at the man who was looking at him with anticipation and happiness
Julian just mentally sighed and accepted his new name. The man happily carried Julian err- Amethyst and decided to let amethyst be his only bundle of pride and joy
