Eyes tell a untold story

"Good morning ma'am"

All the students wish their teacher after entering the class. The environment of the class is fresh and pleasant as all the students are excited for the official beginning of the session.

" Good morning students. Welcome to IX grade. You all must have been working hard and trying to do your best. Let me tell u you all are doing really good and this year too you are going to shine as bright as sun. I gladly welcome you. All the best for rest of the year students. So let's start the class but before that let me introduce you to Aidan , this year's new comer. Aidan please stand in the front. Let us welcome him."

Aidan stands facing the class and introduces himself ,

" Hello everyone , I am Aidan Williams , your new classmate. I have recently shifted here , so it's a really new experience for me. I hope you will take care of me. Thank you. "

After Aidan's introduction , everyone continues with their studies. In this way , the three long classes were over and all the students had lunch break.

Rowen wished and wanted to know more about Aidan as they were sitting together and having their lunch. Rowen was thinking how to start a conversation with Aidan

Rowen's p.o.v

I really want to talk to Aidan. But he clearly doesn't seem to be a talkative person. But even I am not good at making conversation. What should I say. Should I directly ask him that I want to know more about him. Nope , that would be weird. Why am I this nervous?"

End of Rowen's p.o.v

As if sensing Rowen's confused state , Aidan asks him ,

" Hey Rowen , we sit together. so shouldn't we try to understand each other? But for that we first need to know each other well. So why don't you tell me about yourself and I will tell u about myself. Let's try to be honest. "

Aidan tries to initiate the conversation and Rowen feels relieved , he was just about to tell him about himself , two boys approach him and a shy girl standing behind them. The trio seemed to be friends with each other. Maybe they wanted to speak and be friends with Aidan as he was handsome , smart and disciplined. But due to his intimidating personality it was pretty uncomfortable for students to talk to him. But compared to those students these three were pretty confident and proud in themselves and asked ,

" Hey !! Aren't u the new comer. We are your classmates. Would u like to join us? We have a lot of good things to offer you. Also if u want we can have some fun."

The three cheekily smile and were full confident that Aidan won't refuse them as they were the popular kids and who won't like to get along with them ? But Aidan does something unexpected that even made Rowen to pay attention towards them as earlier he wasn't even looking and them and eating his food.

" No sorry , I really am not interested in joining you. And I have enough fun with Rowen. I don't think you all need to waste your time and money on me. But still thanks. I want to enjoy my food with Rowen now. So please leave us alone now. "

Everyone there was stunned and Rowen was literally freezed. No one was expecting Aidan to be this blunt and direct. And more shocked to know that Aidan wanted to be with Rowen.

The trio was shocked too. They weren't expecting this humiliating denial ,

" Why do you want to be with Rowen ? He isn't even alive. He just sits alone doing nothing and talking once in a blue moon. Why would you turn us down for a weirdo like him?"

In response to the mean comments Aidan simply says ,

" We are having fun. Can't you see. We are friends and enjoy each other's company. Will u please leave us alone already. And do not disturb us again."

Aidan once again bluntly refuses. The irritation in Aidan's voice was clear and Rowen couldn't stand it anymore. Seeing Aidan taking stand for him , he was already touched deeply as it was the first time when someone actually protected him. It's not like Rowen was helpless and couldn't do anything it was just Rowen is a simple boy and don't like to get into fights as his parents expect him to be epitome of perfection. He knows if he does something against those who bully him , he will get involved into scandals and his parents will get disappointed. There is only one thing that Rowen is scared of and that is disappointing his parents who unknowingly pressure him and create a toxic environment for him. He is actually sad and depressed from all these expectations that are thrown on him by his parents.

Rowen finally feels guilty that Aidan has to hear all this just because of him and says to Aidan ,

" Thanks Aidan , but can we go to the terrace and have our lunch there ? It's troublesome here."

" Sure, let's go. It's a good idea I guess"

Aidan sweetly smiles and Rowen feels more guilty. His eyes shines more brightly as the emotions piled up in his heart can be seen in his teary eyes. He knows how it feels to be with parents having a lot of expectations and trying to degrade and humiliate you upon failure. Rowen is scared and nervous as he thinks about his parents as they never really support him and just expect him to excel at everything. It's difficult , it's very difficult to actually go through all this. Doing things you don't want to do , being unable to refuse them because you already know that that you will end up being manipulated and doing it anyways. Not being able to cry when you want to , not being able to disclose the feelings piled up in your heart because you know that you don't have anyone to share them to. Being lonely is the worst thing anyone could ever experience. And Rowen goes through this everyday but now listening to Aidan he felt so alive for the first time and actually a tear rolled down his cheeks. He quickly wipes it but Aidan saw him and decided to talk to him ,

" Rowen , let's go. "

" Yeah"

Rowen says in a shaky tone. After going to the terrace Aidan says nothing and pulls him into a warm hug.

" You should let your tears talk sometimes too Rowen. Let the tears tell the whole story that was kept untold. I will hear it. Silently and quietly, let me understand. "

" Rowen finally let go his emotions and cry his heart out"

Wrapped up in a warm embrace , he actually understands that if you want to know a person a second is enough and if you never want to know the person even a year is like a is insufficient. The warmth that he is getting makes him feel good and safe. He is happy and satisfied...

Emotioms were hiding in my heart ,

being stubborn and not letting go,

that my heart was so filled with these

that my tears had to escape through the eyes.

I tell them to adjust there

but they still request me to let them go ,

and give freedom from the cage of my eyes.

Finally my sadness feel pity for me

and they tell me ,

' you are a coward and that's why we will go away from you when you find someone who will be worthy for the tears you will shed and that day your tears will get freedom...'
