Chapter 4

" No! I say No, I can't, we can't allow you! " , "Mama please... For me" , "Just leave him if he wants, don't pressure him"  , " But.... Ugh... Fine "

Yibo was fighting with his mom and dad for letting him stay in his apartment, since after the accident he hasn't been in his apartment cause I've been staying with my parents. But Yibo figured, if he had to get back his memories, he had to be alone to figure out where to search for them. His mom wasn't so happy with his plan as she was worried because he still got those headaches, but his dad supported him while he pursued Yibo's mom into finally lettimg him go. Yibo happily packed his bag and left for his apartment along with Paul, since he thought it would be best if he drove him there.

" Yibo ~ are you sure you wanna go back? " Paul asked looking at the road while driving the car. " Hmm..... "  Yibo simply hummed in response while he looked out the window seeing the kids play football, he had always loved it, in fact he was the captain of the school football team.  " Remembering the good old days ? " Paul  laughed. " Maybe.... " Yibo sighed

He was back to the frail memory of the laugh of a man, Yibo thought maybe it was best if he asked Paul. "Gege ~ tell me, before the accident was there anyone else in my life important apart from you, mama and baba ? "

Paul scrunched his nose as he had no idea who Yibo was referring to at that moment " There were lot of people in your Yibo, since you were quiet famous, but you have to tell me specifically if it's a Boy or a Girl you are taking about"  Yibo wasn't sure how he would be able to say the person just by their laugh, maybe the man in his dream was just a dream and not real he thought to himself and decided to drop the idea. "Ah... Never mind, by the way how is the practice going on gege? " Yibo asked to Paul since he knew Paul was pursuing his doctors with their dad.

" Good, I've been improving slowly, for now I assist baba, he said I'll be even better doctor then him " Paul smiled at Yibo "That's great, I'm proud of you gege. "  Yibo smiled to which Paul ruffled his hair, though Paul and Yibo were half brothers, their parents loved them equally, Yibo was closer his step mother more then his own father. When his father wanted to become a doctor like him, it was his step mother who stood by him supporting Yibo's decision to become a chef.

" By the way Yibo, you have to cook for me when you are completely alright" Paul laughed as he did miss his brothers cooking parking the car by the apartment. I smiled back. " Come upstairs, I'll cook for you then" Paul smiled and pretended to be shocked  " Really, are you sure?" Yibo laughed as he opened the cars door  " Yes.... Yes I am" Yibo smiled stepping outside the car along with Paul.

Zhan was cleaning his room since he was bored sitting all day in his  room, though Zhan wanted to go back to his bakery to start baking again his father didn't allow it. He said Zhan's staffs would take care of the bakery till he was completely alright. Zhan sighed as he continued dusting the books. That's when I got a text from Paul.

" Come over to the apartment, I have something to show you "

Zhan smiled at his message, but he didn't want to go over to the apartment since the place was filled with memories of him and Yibo.

" I'm kind of busy "  Zhan texted.

" Oh please, it's really interesting stuff I want to show, please ~"

" Since you're being cute and all, ...... Hmm..... I'll come "

" Thanks, I'll be waiting "

Zhan smiled and got ready to leave to the apartment, since he didn't like going empty handed so he baked some cupcakes.

After an hour.....

Zhan reached the apartment. He went upstairs hesitantly, he was sincerely praying that Yibo wasn't there with Paul because he knew for sure he'll burst into tears seeing him. Zhan knocked on the door, waited for Paul to open the door, as he waited the door opened revealing him and leaving Zhan breathless.

As Yibo started to cook for Paul, he looked around the apartment, most of the things had been cleared out of the apartment, maybe old photos and half of his closet was missing, weird ! He thought to himself, Paul always liked wine along with his dinner, so Yibo looked around for drinks, but since he couldn't find anything to drink which was really weird as well because as far as he knew he always had liked to drink beer, he was shocked to find not even a single bottle of beer. Yibo decided to send Paul out to get some.

" Gege ~ can you get some wine? " Yibo called for Paul who was sitting at the couch, he got up wearing his jacket and taking his wallet " Sure ! Anything else ? "  Yibo thought for a moment " Nothing else " Paul nods his head and walked out of the apartment closing the door behind.

After a few minutes.....

Yibo was cooking the salmon and that's when I heard the door knock. He wiped his hands in the apron and walked over to open the door. Yibo opened the door only to see a very handsome guy  by the door, he had a huge smile on his face which looked really good on his face. But as soon as he saw Yibo the smile slowly started to disappear. Yibo was in a complete trance, only to be brought back by his voice.

" Umm..... Excuse me? " He  looked at Yibo, his eyes almost ready to cry as he smiled but it was like he had pain in his heart. " Can..... umm..... I'm here for Paul " Zhan hesitantly said to Yibo. He smiled " What's your name ? " Yibo asked to Zhan. Zhan's heart fell when he had asked for his name, he never thought such a day would come where Yibo would forget his entire existence and yet here he was standing in front of his love being asked for his name.

" I'm Xiao Zhan " Zhan smiled again, " I'm Yibo, gege has gone out" Zhan wanted to avoid Yibo since he knew Zhan was the reason he had been getting those terrible headaches, he decided to leave " I'll be back later then " Zhan was about to leave that's when Yibo held his wrist, Zhan stood frozen as he immediately took his hand away, Yibo smiled awkwardly " He'll be back in a minute, please come in "

By this time Paul had come upstairs and he smiled seeing Zhan, he hugged him from the side, startling Zhan " Zhan ~ I'm sorry I went out to buy something, come in " he dragged Zhan in, while Yibo stood there asking questions to himself.

So Paul-ge knows him huh? Well all the good looking people belong with Paul, gege is so lucky. But why do I have a feeling I know him from somewhere and wasn't he the guy who I had seen in hospital on the day I opened my eyes after the accident? Weird on how we keep crossing paths again and again.

Yibo stood dazed as he was in his thoughts, Paul gently shook him up " What is it ? ", Yibo shook his head as he walked backed to his kitchen. Paul came to the kitchen to keep the wine in the fridge. He looked at Yibo while Yibo looked at him suspiciously. " What is it ? You seem confused ? " asked Paul leaning against the fridge " Is he your....." Yibo started " My what ? " Yibo sighed " Boyfriend ?" 

Paul laughed as he was surprised " What?! No, I don't want to be dead by the person who has been in love with him " Yibo hummed, as Paul laughed again and went by the dinner table.

" You must stay for Dinner ! " Paul insisted Zhan, Zhan wasn't sure if it was good idea, Yibo walked out of kitchen with the dishes in his hand " Please stay for dinner " as soon as Zhan heard him say that he sat without any further thoughts, Paul smiled to himself as he sure knew what made Zhan change his mind. Yibo smiled serving the dishes.

" Yibo serve this cupcakes along the dinner, I love the cakes he bake, they are the best, everyone likes them, I'm sure you'll love them too" said Paul handing Yibo the box of cupcakes that Zhan baked. Yibo hummed serving the food, he then remembered that he forgot to add lemon to the salmon, he took the knife to cut it but accidently scratched his finger. 

" Ouch!!!! "

Immediately Zhan ran to him holding his finger, as he looked at Zhan slowly, Zhan's eyes now teary looking at his fingers wiping the blood. Yibo was confused on why he was crying for him and why was Paul not doing anything. But it was too late that Yibo had blackened again while drifting back to his unconscious state. All he heard at last was the voice of Zhan calling his name.

" Yibo ~ Yibo ! "  Yibo smiled hearing his voice while he passed falling down on Zhan's lap.
