Chapter 3

My company was taken over by a new owner. Only some high-ranked employees know about it. I am not a high-ranked employee but I know about it because of my boss. I joined this company two years ago. I was inexperienced. I didn't know how to do work in the company. I need money. I spent my all money in my home and in my pregnancy. No one was for me. I wanted to my own house as nobody could force me to change my house when I have a small child and I am a single mother. Society thinks it's not good to be single for a lady. A woman needs a man to protect her. But I think opposite I can survive alone with my son. My mother-in-law wanted to be with me. I refused to take her help. But she was stubborn that's why she appointed a full-time maid for me. It helped me a lot during my pregnancy.

I was thanked by my mother-in-law for that. She is always supportive of me while my own

mother and my family betrayed me. That's why I love my mother-in-law more than my own mother. I mean I love my mother but my mother and my father betrayed me.

At present, I am happy and blessed with my son Aahan. He is my savior and my life.

My boss has to go to Delhi to attend the meeting, appointed by the new owner of the company. After that, they will be going to tell everyone about our company's current situation. My boss is nervous. I never saw him like that in two years. But I think the time has changed for everyone. So it's not new for me. I can manage my all problems and any situation.

I asked my boss, "are you nervous?"

He sighed, "A sort of. I heard a lot of things about the new owner." I was upset

"Is it good or bad?" I asked with assume meant.

"Mostly bad" he chuckled and I giggled, "I know you will not let happen anything wrong.

"You trust me?" He asked with raising his eyebrows

"Hundred and one percent and I'm with you in any condition," I told him with honesty.

"Thanks for supporting me." He smiled and I gave him a smile.

"Don't forget to update me. I am only one call away." I recalled him.

"Thanks, kavya for everything." He thanked me with grinned. "I always feel relax after talking to you." He never forgets to tell me how I am helping him. But I know he says only for my pleasure.

His assistant came inside his cabin and told him, "it's time for leave sir."

He looked at his wristwatch and bid goodbye to me. I smiled and bid. goodbye to him.
