Result of Mischief

Mizuki’s POV:

I start stuffing food in my mouth. I mean it was so delicious how can someone resist it. As I was eating my Sunday delight, I asked Ronesme about why she wanted to be the protector of kingdom.

Ronesme: Well! My family runs the business of equipment which is needed for different purposes during the war. They help our kingdoms protectors in their fight. I inspire my family’s business but I wanted to fight along side them and not behind the scenes.

Mizuki: What do you mean by that? I think supporting them is as important as fighting along side them. Do you know how many vampires die just because they didn’t have the right equipment to fight with? The equipment which your family makes is of good quality and they support each vampire very well as compared to the cheap stuff.

Ronesme: (Looks down and is a little bit sad)

Mizuki: (Sees Ronesme down) But I respect your decision. You chose it for yourself so it must be right and besides there is this saying, “no one choses the things for you which you chose for yourself”.

Ronesme: So, why did you chose to be a protector?

Mizuki: You already know that I’m from an orphanage so you must also know that the children who belong to the orphanage are not always the ones whose parents are dead or died. There are also those children which are abandoned by their parents right after their birth. I was one of those children which were abandoned right after birth. One day I decided that so what if my real parents abandoned me, I still belong to this kingdom and this kingdom is mine. I will never abandon my kingdom and will always protect it. And being the protector was the right occupation for it so that’s why I chose it.

Ronesme: Wow you have such a noble cause for becoming a protector.

Mizuki: (Rubs her head in embarrassment) (Then look at the time) Oh! Its almost time for the class we have to go and change into our uniform.

Ronesme: Hey! Mizuki wait for me I’m also coming with you.

Mizuki: Are you sure about that? Most of the students despise me because I’m a commoner.

Ronesme: Yeah, I’m perfectly fine with it. So, what if you are a commoner. You’re still a good person. And I’m fine with anyone being me friend as long as that person is a good person.

Mizuki: (After hearing what Ronesme said smiled softly and ran towards the dorm along with Ronesme)

(Time Skip to the Classroom)

Everyone came to the classroom and all of them were looking good in their uniforms. And I felt surprisingly comfortable in my clothes.

The teacher came in and introduced himself as Kamuy Richard.

Mr. Kamuy: I’m going to teach you History between vampires and humans. You will learn all about their struggles, wars and how they separated their world.

So, let’s open our book and someone please start reading the first chapter. (Sisi starts reading it)

Kei’s POV:

As Sisi started to read I began to get impatient because Mizuki was about to begin scratching herself any time soon.

Jones: (Whispering) Hey! Kei why are you smirking like that? Is there something funny in the text which I don’t get.

Kei: Huh what? No, there is nothing funny in this boring text.

Jones: Then why are you smiling?

Kei: You will soon find out. (In mind) It has been thirty minutes why isn’t she scratching herself like a crazy person. The potion was supposed to work in fifteen minutes. Don’t tell me that it was fake.

Jones: (Again whispering) Hey! Kei why do you keep scratching your neck? It’s becoming red so stop it.

Kei: (Notices scratching himself) Why the hell I’m scratching myself? Oh no. Itchiness is increasing. (Speaks out loud) I can’t stop scratching myself.

(Everyone in class looks at Kei even the teacher puts down the book)

Mizuki: (Politely says) It seems like someone has a bad allergic reaction. You must’ve gotten close to something from which you were allergic to. Am I right?

Kei: (Looks at Mizuki and finds her grinning) You! You did it. But how?

Mizuki: I don’t know what you are talking about. (Plays dumb)

Yuki: I think you should go to see the nurse instead of blaming innocent people.

Mr. Kamuy: Kei you are allowed to go to the nurse office.

Kei: I’m going to the nurse office for now but you won’t get away with it.

Mr. Kamuy: Mizuki what Kei is saying is it true? Did you really do something?

Mizuki: I did nothing Mr. Kamuy. I was with Ronesme all the time. You can ask her if you want to.

Mr. Kamuy: Ronesme is this true?

Ronesme: Yes. Mizuki was with me all the time.

Mr. Kamuy: well then let’s continue our lesson. Lorain start reading from where Sisi stopped.

Mizuki’s POV:

(Flashback) Ok Ronesme I’m going to change my clothes. (Goes in the room and opens the closet) What’s this? I didn’t hang my uniform in that direction. I’m pretty sure that it was facing the side of closets wall. Even the Tie is opened even though I tied it down. Maybe it’s my imagination. I picked out my uniform from the closet. What’s this smell? It’s faint but it’s still there. It almost smells like an itching potion which we use at the orphanage to get rid of stubborn magical baboons who try to steal food. Someone came in my room and messed with my uniform. But who did? (Went to the door and smelled the outside handle of the door) This sent it’s the same as Kei. So, he came to take revenge huh. I will give him his own medicine. (Opens a portal of mana which leads towards the orphanage)

(At orphanage)

Miko: (Working on his project suddenly sees a portal forming at the distance)

Mizuki: (She comes through the portal) Hey Miko! What are you doing?

Miko: Working on my project. Why did you come back? After school authority raiding in the orphanage just to get your stuff, I thought that you won’t be coming back till summer vacation.

Mizuki: Oh, I had a little favor to ask. Would you please purify my uniform with the help of your purifying ability?

Miko: Its your first day and you already messed up your clothes.

Mizuki: Ahh ha ha ha you know how clumsy I am. So, please do it.

Miko: (Starts purifying clothes) You sometimes I feel like you use my ability as your personal washing machine.

Mizuki: What? No, poof what are talking about. You are imagining stuff.

(Miko shows indifferent expression)

Mizuki: Oh, and can you give me itching potion too?

Miko: And for what you need it?

Mizuki: Don’t you think you are asking too many questions? Pay attention to your own business and give me the potion.

Miko: (makes a pouty face) Here you go I’m done with the purifying and take this potion too.

Mizuki: (Suddenly hugs Miko) Has any one ever told you that how much I love you?

Miko: You don’t need to flatter me. I already know how much you love me (saying it with a taunt)

Mizuki: Okay bye! (Opens the portal again and go through it) Ok so let’s go Kei’s room. (Unlocks Kei’s room and go in) (opens his closet, takes out his uniform and sprinkles the potion) This should give him a lesson.

(End of flashback)

Mizuki: (In her mind) and that’s why you should never mess with me.
