Unexpected

Liam agreeing for outings was really unexpected. I was a bit taken aback but recovered form it soon, I mean why not enjoy than to just sit around. Right? We only have 2 days together!

For rest of the 2 days, I cooked breakfast for both of us, lunch we had outside after our little sightseeing to which I practicallydragged him holding his hands, we went to various places, lakeside cafes and at night we watched some movies. I know Liam is very cold and distant, but after spending only a day with him he seems more closer, he is covered in  a shell, as if no one tried to reach him, but I couldn't understand the reason why.

I did most of the talking, told him Dawn my sister and my brother in law. I only got to know that his parents are alive, but don't stay with him and he has no siblings. For the first night I slept on the couch watching movies with him, but when I woke up I was in a room, guess he carried me all the way here. The 2nd day and night went by as well, we visited nearby village and offered to help the villagers by raising funds and then our own movie marathon, obviously I decided the movies!

Today Liam leaves in evening. We were not able to go out as he had meetings to attend after our breakfast, so I plan to prepare lunch especially for him. I don't know much about him, just that he owns a business, I didn't not ask much either, we are not so close rather for him.

"What are you making" "Oh My GOD! Liam! You scared the hell out of me" I jump when someone speaks behind me only to find Liam standing really close to me. "Sorry, I called you 2-3 times, but you seemed to be lost in thoughts" he was looking at me intensely, we were close enough to feel each other's breath "Umm" nothing else came out of my mouth. After staring each other for good 2 minutes, Liam moved away from me without saying a word. All flushed I immediately backed him, controlling my shivering voice I spoke "Could you set up the plates, please" he again did not say anything, just took the plates and went by the dining table. Why am I all flushed with the closeness? Control!

Nothing but Liam himself was stopping me to be more close to him. He's sitting with that cold expression again, as if nothing happened. Yeah! It wasn't that big of a deal! But I am the thinking mess again, all unexpected things have happened in the last 2 days. We eat and talk about things here and there when suddenly Liam says "Be ready at 6, we'll go for dinner" "Why?" "Just cause" "Oh Okay"

DINNER. Will he say something to me? Will he ask me out? Restless again! The way from his suite to mine seemed so long. I started searching for the dress I'll wear in the evening. I have more than 4 hours to get ready, I should take a stress nap. Yeah.

When I wake up its already 5. Shoot! I can ready in 20 minutes also bit today is special. I hope so. I take a quick shower, do a little makeup which just includes baby cream, lip gloss and eyeliner and slip on my dress. By the time I am done it's almost 6 and I hear the door knock.

I see Liam standing in black full sleeved shirt and blue denim Jean, making him look mouth watering, Wait!,  i mean sexy. He gazes down on me "let's go" "sure". We walk side by side, i can feel the heat of his body, I wanted to hold his hands so many times, but did not dare, coward, and he never made the move as well.

"Why the dinner Liam?" I ask him as we wait for dessert. "For a Thank You" "Huh?" "I wanted to thank you for helping me out all the while" "Just that?" "Yes" I controlled tearing up, I guess I expected a lot, somebody like him can not take interest in a nobody like me.

"I have some urgent calls to make, so I will leave first, thank you for the dinner" I start walking when he stops me by holding my hand and I am about to faint, it's the first he held my hand, earlier only I was the one doing it, though in a friendly way. Slowly i face him "I am leaving from here" he shakes hands with me, tears are now about to fall from my eyes. I do the unexpected, I hug him first and last time. He worriedly says not to cry, and I just shrug it off, who's crying. He then waits for a while and starts leaving. He did not ask for my contact number, neither did I. He doesn't have any feelings for me. I should get over it. Yeah!

I return to the town, where I have to start  my new job. I have been appointed the Marketing Head at the Feinberg Industries. Andrew my sister's husband was the one that gave the idea to apply here so that I would be able to stay with Dawn when she needs me. And no, he did not help me get in, I got the job with my own capability.

I am living nearby to Dawn's as I did not want to be a third wheel, the place is cozy and near to office as well. Currently I am getting ready for the first day of my office. I get to meet the CEO today, Andrew is the COO at Feinberg and I am the 3rd in line, but as Drew has his own business to take care off, I will be directly working with the CEO. The CEO has kept low profile all along, paparazzi have got his back profile always, no interviews, no magazine covers and no girls. Haha. He doesn't seem to be a playboy.

I arrive early to the office, being my punctual self. The receptionist helps me all the way to my cabin, I get to meet the CEO's secretary Mrs. Jones. She's a bubbly lady, telling me all about Mr. Feinberg's cold attitude, his dedication, his determination, his efficiency with all twinkles in her eyes with the admiration. Whatever I heard, I am now sure Mr. CEO is soft inside and cold outside, he seems a really nice guy.
