Suddenly It's Destiny?
......♡......
"What happened?" Callista asked.
The sun was fading. The light that came from the sun was gone. And her mind left her, still chewing the apple.
"As if you can annoy me."Calista moved forward until she reached the apple. She tried to bite, but the apple fell to the ground.
"Sorry," Miki said in a sarcastic tone.
"At least I captured your attention. But what happened yesterday?Did you really see our elementary couple?" Calista tried her best not to sound excited.
Miki looked at the ground.
They are sitting on the grills on the balcony. She realized how high their place is, and for one moment, her vision turned to his stare, to his voice,to the way he frowned.
Miki then looked at Calista."Yesterday, I saw Rylee and Hale."
Her mind still remembered that scenario. When she looked at him, she already thought, "Is this destiny?" and Hale looked at her.
She told Calista how Hale reacted that time—how furious, irrated, and annoyed he was.
Calista's eyes widen—shocked at what she heard. "He's irritated by what you said?"
"Yes, and I said it twice." Miki showed she was proud of what she did.
"You wanted to annoy him, aren't you?"
"It was seven years ago. Do you think he already forgot me?"she suddenly asked.
"Maybe."
She's spacing out again after what she heard. She didn't say what happened after that. She didn't want.
"Is this destiny?" she said, which made him look at her. "Is it destiny?" she said again in a louder voice.
The guy walked toward her. She's still unsure why she suddenly said that, but her mind convinces her—he wanted to annoy him.
"What?!"he asked.
He's angry. I annoyed him.
"What's wrong?"Miki asked innocently.
Her sister looked at them—from the guy to her.
"Do I know that you will make fun of me?Are you one of those attention seekers?"
"Huh?What are you saying?Do I know you too?"
"Des—"he stopped."What are you into?"
"Oh?What I said earlier was my sort of reaction. I just think that seeing my schoolmates was destiny. Why?Is your name destiny?" She still acts as if she's innocent, as if she doesn't know what's making him furious. But when she has to annoy someone, she has to sacrifice honesty.
Her sister now realizes what's happening. She pulled her aside to say sorry to Hale.
"Miki, are you spacing out again?Did Solar scold you?" Calista asked.
"I also tried to annoy her, but I got fired back at the end," she answered. "She suggested my old interest, and when we had to pay, she said that she had no money. She said I am the one who would treat her that day."
Calista laughed at her."Solar is better than you."(Referring to who was better at annoying someone.)
"Wait, I have something to show you." Calista searched at her gallery for almost five minutes. It was the recent picture of that guy and the girl—the elementary couple.
She placed her phone in Miki's direction. But Miki was really out of herself right now.It took her a long time to look at the phone. But she just saw black.
Calista's phone was turned off. "I forgot to turn off the screen."
......♡......
Nude lipstick shade that complements her fair skin, her shirt—it was a basketball jersey from one of her past boyfriends—and her brown eyes that long for love?
"Eight tokens," she said while untying her long hair.
As she received the eight tokens, she immediately walked towards one of her favorite PlayStations in that arcade.
Her fierce look didn't last when she started to shout in the middle of the game. She won the first game, but as she played for a while, she went on a losing streak.
"Argh!" she bit her lip and heaved a sigh.
She had neither tokens nor money left. She stayed for a while to think about what to do next. No money, no money, no money. Wait—she didn't need money; she needed tokens to play.
When she saw one token placed beside her, she immediately grabbed it. There was no one there, so she thought it was for her.
She played again, one last time.
She hadn't noticed a phone call or the two guys who were watching her in the first place.
"What?" She groaned as she read the message and saw a missed call from her assistant. "They left me?"
She walked again and went into a room. It had a sign saying "For Staff Only," but she still planned to go there.
There's a way if she would do something.
But when she held the doorknob, two guys suddenly popped up beside her.
"What are you doing?"The one who has a black mask asks.
"I'm just checking if there's a bathroom here," she said, obviously a trash excuse.
One of the guys held her wrist. At that moment, she knew why those guys were beside her.
Before she could come up with the trouble, another guy ran towards them. In a blink of an eye, she was just over-exaggerating,the two guys crawling on the floor.
She saw his eyes, which made her smile.
He's interesting.
The guy left after he dropped five coins on the floor.
Her yes stuck to her mind. He faded right away at her view, but what he did say stayed with her.
She looked again at the two guys who were on the floor. She bit her lip before she kicked them.
"Is the token yours?" she asked.
"Yeah," one of the guys answered. They're still lying on the floor, enduring the pain.
"That's what you got.Your lives only value one token," she said, leaving those two guys behind as she entered the staff room.
