Ages: Jin: 24 Yoongi: 9 Hoseok: 8 Namjoon: 6 Jimin: 5 Taehyung: 5 Jungkook: 4 Work Text: "Namjoon!!!!" 6 year old Namjoon heard from the kitchen while drawing with Hoseok. He frowned and set his crayon down, padding down the stairs and saw Jin with an angry look and tapping his foot "Why did you leave a broken glass on the floor?" He asked angrily. Namjoon's little eyes widened. His glass was in the play room filled with water, not broken all over the floor. "Mama! I didn't do it!" He yelled but got cut off "Don't you dare raise your voice at me! Now go sit in the time out corner" "But mo-" "Don't you back talk me, now go sit in the corner" Namjoon grunted and stomped over to the corner - "MOM, JOONIE BROKE MY TOY!!" Namjoon was laying down since he wasn't feeling good but he heard Taehyung scream and shot up "NO I DIDN'T! I'VE BEEN IN MY ROOM!!" Namjoon ran to the play room and saw Jin holding the broken toy and a crying Taehyung "Joonie, don't lie to me, did you break Taehyung's toy?" "No mama I swe-" Jin just shook his head "What did I tell you? I told you not to lie to me. Go to your room and get ready for bed" "Mama it's only 5! What about movie night?" "You're in trouble, no movie night, just bed time" "Bu-" "Don't argue with me, go and get ready for bed" Namjoon looked around for a second and saw Taehyung looked happy as Jimin handed him another toy and Yoongi looked angry. Although Yoongi was 3 years older than Namjoon, those two were closer than anyone. Namjoon sniffled and stomped up to bed and didn't even bother getting ready for bed and just laid down. He heard Jin come in and turned the lights out "Goodnight Namjoon" and he closed the door. He heard everyone laughing downstairs while watching the movie and Namjoon couldn't help but cry into his pillow A couple hours later he heard Yoongi come in and pretended he was asleep. He felt Yoongi sit on his bed and sighed "I know you didn't break Taehyung's toy or the glass in the kitchen. I'm sorry you're being yelled at. Night night Joonie" and he laid down in his bed. Namjoon sighed and tried to fall asleep - Namjoon ran into the playroom and saw Hoseok playing with Jungkook "Can I play?" he asked excitedly but Hoseok shook his head "No! You break everything!" and Namjoon sighed. He ran out and saw Yoongi teaching Taehyung how to play cards "Can I play?" Taehyung shook his head "Go play with Hoseok" Namjoon rolled his eyes and and to see Jin and Jimin in the kitchen cooking lunch "Can I help?" Jimin just laughed "Honey, remember last time we let you help?" Namjoon just turned around sulked to his room. He put both headphones in and sat with his knees to his chest, tears filling his eyes "Why does no one wanna play with me anymore?" his voice cracked and he buried his head into his arms as his shoulders shook - "MAMA, SOMEONE COLORED ALL OVER MY DRAWING!" Jimin yelled. Jin rolled his eyes and knew exactly who it was Namjoon waved to the bus driver as he, Yoongi and Hoseok got off the bus and ran home. He made a drawing for Jin and was excited to show him. "Mama!! I made you a drawing!" Namjoon ran in and his smile dropped when he saw how angry Jin was. He looked and saw Jimin crying over a picture and frowned. "I didn't do it mama!" "I didn't even say you did anything" Jin smirked, thinking he just got him to confess "But you always say I do all the bad things! I don't!" Jin shook his head "Save it. Just go to your room" Jin pointed and Namjoon teared up "Mama are you sure it was Joo-" but Namjoon cut Yoongi off "Fine! And here's your stupid drawing" He tore it in half and threw it at Jin and ran up to his room and slammed the door. Jin picked the picture up and pieced it together. Namjoon had drawn Jin and his brothers all hugging and smiling. The one thing missing was Namjoon. Jin sighed and grabbed a black crayon and drew in a small Namjoon, taping it back together and hanging it on the fridge. He heard Jungkook crying from his room and went to help him - Namjoon woke up from a nightmare, sniffling and gasping. He didn't know what to do, he was so scared. He didn't wanna wake up Yoongi so he padded to Jin's room and sniffled, whiping his eyes and tapping Jin's shoulder "M-Mama" he sniffled and Jin groaned "What?" He rubbed his eyes "I-I had a nightmare. C-Can I sleep with you?" "Honey, just go back to bed." Namjoon frowned "But mama" he sniffled and Jin just rolled over and sighed "It's late, go to bed" Namjoon sighed and held back tears as he ran back to his room. He laid down and sobbed into his pillow but felt a dip in the bed and Yoongi was rubbing his back. Namjoon turned around and snuggled into him. Yoongi was so angry at how Namjoon was getting treated but there was nothing he could do but comfort the poor boy, so that's what he did. - "Namjoon! Get down here this instant!" Namjoon heard and frowned, hiding in his closet and hiding under a blanket. He heard stomping and the door was opened and the blanket was pulled off of him "Come explain this" he got pulled up and led to the patio where Jin's favorite big potted plant was knocked over and the pot was shattered and the hose still running. "Mama I was listening to music!!" Jin shook his head and sighed "I hate that you have been lying to me the past week. We were gonna go out to dinner to celebrate Hoseok's dance award but you need to stay home and clean this up. I'm very dissapointed in you" Jin shook his head and went in the house. Namjoon sniffled as a tear ran down his cheek. Jin came out with a trash bag and a broom. "We're leaving. We'll be back soon, stay in the house and don't do anything stupid please" Jin sighed, kissed his forehead and left. Namjoon waited until their car left and screamed in frustration, throwing the broom and running to his room. He grabbed a backpack and started throwing clothes in it. He sniffled as he grabbed 5 of his toys and put one of them on each of his brothers bed and wrote a note and put it on his bed. He sniffled as he left the house and ran down the street. He saw it started to rain and he just kept running as fast as his little feet could take him, but he fell as his backpack ripped on a bush. He cried as he scraped his knee. He got up weakly and wobbled to the park. He went to his spot under the tree and yelped as he heard thunder and curled in on himself, sobbing softly. He wanted his mom to hold him but Jin didn't love him anymore, neither did his brothers. He sobbed and sobbed until he was too exhausted to do so - Jin came home and looked around. The house was extremely quiet. He felt so bad for leaving Namjoon home and he wanted to apologize. He softly opened Namjoon's door and his eyed widened. No Namjoon. The kids came running in looking for Joonie to tell him everything but frowned "Where is Joonie, Mama?" Jin looked out at the patio and saw the mess was worse because of the storm. Jimin came running in with Taehyung "Why are Joonie's toys on our beds?" Jin was panicking at this point "Namjoon!!" Jin yelled throughtout the house. Yoongi came running down the stairs "Mama! I think Joonie ran away!" he handed him the letter and Jin gasped as he finally read his childish handwriting Mama I'm sorry I'm a bad boy. I don't need your love, mama. Only good boys need love. I made you mad at me. I'm sorry mama. I love you mama. -Namjoon Jin grabbed his phone and called his mom to come watch the kids so he could find Namjoon. She arrived and he ran to his car and started driving. Jin looked as he drove and saw a trail of toys and clothes and stopped the car. He ran after the the trail and saw the park, running towards the park. "Namjoon!!" he yelled a couple times "M-Mama?" he heard a pathetic whimper and ran to where it was coming from Jin ran and saw Namjoon curled into himself, shivering and crying. Jin's heart literally broke as he picked up the fragile 6 year old, tearing up at how blue his lips looked and how cold he was. He grabbed the towels and blankets and tried wrapping him in up. "Namjoon, Joonie honey. Why did you run away?" He held him close as Namjoon yelped at the thunder "Mama?" He coughed and Jin held him close and wrapped him up tighter "Mama's here honey, let's get you home safe, huh?" Namjoon squirmed to try to get out of bis grip "I don't wanna go home! I don't wanna! You don't love me! You're gonna yell at me!" He sobbed and Jin stopped. He never even bothered to ask if Namjoon even did anything. He just assumed. "We'll talk when we get home but mama loves you" He sighed and laid Namjoon in the car. They drove home and Jin carried Namjoon into the house. "Mama! Is Joonie ok?" Jimin yelled as all the kids crowded them. "Yes he is sweetie. Now, go see if grandma wants to read to you guys before bed time!" They ran to the playroom as he carried Namjoon to the bathroom and sat him on the bathroom counter. He had Yoongi heat up some hot cocoa and Hoseok got some warm clothes ready. He looked at his knee and got the kit to patch it up. "This is gonna hurt a little, ok? Mommy's just gonna clean up your boo boo " Namjoon nodded and hissed as Jin cleaned up the wound. He put a waterproof band-aid on it and turned on the bathwater "All better! Ok, do you wanna use one of mommy's bubble bars?" Namjoon nodded wildly as he shivered and put a lavender bubble bar and put a couple rubber duckies in and helped him in the tub. "Too hot!" Namjoon tried getting out but Jin kept him in. It was right above luke warm and Jin frowned at how sensitive to heat he was. "This is good for you, you need to warm up" Namjoon sniffled, but slowly got used to it. He washed his hair as he played with the duckies and the bubbles. Namjoon was getting tired and Jin helped him dry off and got him into some warm comfy clothes "Do you want some soup?" Namjoon nodded as Jin carried him downstairs and fed him some soup his mom made. Namjoon ate about half and then refused to eat more "Are you full baby?" Namjoon nodded and made grabby arms for Jin. He picked him up and held him softly as he walked to Namjoon's room "No mommy! I wanna sleep with you!" he said and Jin nodded. "Let me tuck you in and then tuck everyone else in." Namjoon nodded and Jin walked to his room and laid him down. He walked to Jimin and Taehyung's room and saw all the kids were there listening to his mom read a story. She finished and kissed every child on the head, and then left. "Kids, can I ask you guys something?" Hoseok nodded to answer for everyone and they sat around Jin "Who broke the glass in the kitchen a week ago?" He heard a sniffle and Jimin raised his hand "I'm sorry! I didn't wanna get in trouble!" "That's ok Jimin. Who broke Taehyung's toy?" "Namj-" "Me, I stepped in it. Sorry" Hoseok sighed as he cut off Taehyung "Ok... Who drew all over Jimin's drawing?" Jungkook frowned and raised his hand "Last question... Who broke the plant outside?" Taehyung sniffled and started sobbing "I'm s-sorry!! I didn't m-mean too! I-I was trying to w-water it!!" Jin hugged him and wiped his tears "It's ok Taehyung. Now, go get ready for bed everyone. I'll come tuck you in in a little bit! How about tomorrow we all go to... The zoo!" they all nodded and cheered as they ran to their rooms but Yoongi stayed behind "I knew it" He said and Jin signed "I know... I feel really bad. Go get some sleep honey" he kissed Yoongi's hair, laughing at how he went "yuck!" Jin walked into his room and found Namjoon curled into a ball, sniffling and hiccuping. Jin sat down by him and put a hand on his back. Namjoon scooted away and Jin sighed "Honey I am so sorry, it was never you and I'm sorry I assumed. I love you so much and I'm so sorry" Namjoon turned and Jin felt so bad. He was crying and his eyes were filled with sadness "B-But... You don't l-love me anymore. M-My brothers d-don't love me anymore" Jin picked him up and held him close. "Not at all, sweetheart. I love you so much no matter what. And so do your brothers. They adore you and look up to you so much. You are loved Namjoon, and you will always be loved." He hugged him close "You promise?" Namjoon held up his littlr pinky "I promise" they locked pinkys and Namjoon wrapped his little arms around Jin's neck. "We love you so much Namjoon!!" Jimin and Jungkook waddled in and tried to climb on the bed. Jin helped them up and Hoseok, Taehyung, and Yoongi also ran in and joined them on the bed. They all hugged and kissed Namjoon as Jin watched with the largest smile. They stayed for a couple minutes until Jin tucked them in again, kissing their foreheads and making sure Hoseok's night light was on. Jin came in and saw Namjoon snuggled into one of Jin's sweaters. Jin smiled softly and laid down and held Namjoon close. Namjoon buried his head in Jin's chest, soft snores coming from the child. Jin sighed kissed his head "I will always love you, no matter what Joonie. Mama loves you so much" and Jin held him close as they fell asleep
