First encounter

Summer days in Shanghai were extremely warm and sweaty. The streets were full of people either complaining about the weather or their boyfriend cheating on them.

Areum was walking across the street in a black silk jumpsuit and her old sneakers that her father bought her from the local market. Areum is fair-skinned, with long dark brown hair, rosy red lips and big sparkling eyes.

Areum was both nervous but happy at the same thinking about her interview at her first law firm. She had been dreaming about this for the last seven years of struggle. She only had a couple of minutes left before the interview began. Areum fastened her pace as she held her file even tighter to her chest.

Suddenly she felt a big, cold hand on her tiny waist pulling her to the side. Completely shocked Areum turned around and looked at the man in front of her.

He looked like someone right from a k drama. He had a sharp jawline paired with eyes colder than Mount Everest and a tall nose. Only his face made Areum lose her awareness.

He was wearing a black tuxedo and a Rolex as if the tuxedo wasn't enough to kill someone with just a look.

Areum only came back to her senses after a long stare at his handsomeness. Areum stood up properly and took a couple of steps back so that she was maintaining a safe distance from this unknown man. "t..t..thank you". "You should be careful next time," the man said coldly as he walked away and sat in a matt black Mercedes worth Areums whole existence.

Oh shit! Areum looked at her phone and realized she was late for her interview. Areum ran as fast as she could with her ten cm long white heels and her styled hair looking not so styled anymore.

After a couple of minutes of running and panting, Areum arrived in front of a tall building made of pure glass. She was about to run inside but Areum got stopped by two guards.

"Miss, you can't go inside, we need to see your employee card."

Areum was already late to her interview, and now she had to deal with these guards.

"I came here for an interview..."

The guards looked at each other and one of them called someone, while the other one stared at Areum with confusion.

"The interview was done ten minutes ago, miss"

Areum was sad and confused, but she managed to keep a cool face

"Can you please make an exception, I really need this job, please"

"sorry miss, but we can't do anything about this"

Areum started walking back to the bus station, lost in her thoughts, thinking about her father and how disappointed he will be.

Suddenly she bumped into something hard, Areum looked up completely shock.

IT WAS THE SAME MAN THAT SAVED HER EARLIER

"S..Sorry" was the only thing that came out of Areums mouth
