Chapter 5: I was asleep, but when I woke up I'm already married!?

Mick, Peter, and Leonardo were shocked and confused, they couldn’t understand what Logan was saying.

“Wait, are you saying that Wilson’s hasn’t found Jane Wilson yet? Peter asked again.

Logan nodded with ‘hmm’ and Leonardo asked “Then who did you brought back home?”

“The first lady of Wilson family” Logan replied, he is intentionally playing with them.

“You are confusing us.” Mick got irritated “Say it properly.”

Logan smirked, he doesn’t get a chance to fool these guys, and finally, he has a chance why would he let it go.

8: 10 pm, at the Emerson villa, the scene inside the master bedroom was a bit…..not new but, still weird for Evelyn.

She woke up not long ago, and the moment she woke up she was greeted with “Madam!”

She is sitting on the bed holding onto the blanket, her defensive mode on; staring straight at the people standing in front of her.

Where am I? Who are they? Why am I here? a sudden realization hit her. Did that stupid aunt really sell me off? I should have listened to Sara, why did I underestimate Stella Wilson? I regret it, I really regret it deeply!!

“Madam, let me introduce myself.” A man in his mid-40 with a combed mustache and black hair, well dressed in a custom-made suit, bowed and said in a sweet and kind tone “I’m the butler of this house, my name is Mathew Browns you can call me Uncle Mathew.” He turned his hand towards the woman in her 40’s and said “This is my wife, Lora Browns; she is responsible for the cooking.”

Lora smiled, small wrinkles formed on the corner of her mouth, her smile is very beautiful. “Madam, you can just call me aunt.”

Mathew moved towards the two tall and muscular men beside them, he pointed at the man with black hair, in black ripped jeans and sky blue turtle neck shirt “This is Aaron” Aaron nodded, and then Mathew pointed at the man beside Aaron with brown hair, Grey trousers and shirt-in plain white shirt “This is David, these two will be your bodyguards from today onward.”

“It’s a pleasure to serve you, Madam.” Both David and Aaron said.

Evelyn frowned; she didn’t turn her defensive mode off and kept staring at them at a loss of words.

“Where am I?” Evelyn carefully asked.

“This is the Villa of Sir Leonardo Emerson, your husband” Lora replied. Evelyn felt as if her heart stopped the moment she heard the word ‘husband’, she was shocked but she didn’t show it on her face.

I am married!?

It is as if a lightning bolt just hit her.

I feel like my brain just blew off. Married? Married; me? I ran away from home just so I can avoid the arranged marriage that the old man was forcing me to do!!

Shit! How did this happen?

Aaron and David notice she is uncomfortable, they both exchange glances, “Madam must be tired, how about you clean up and later come down for dinner, or you can rest till someone comes to call you for dinner.” David said his voice calm and easy.

“We will be right outside your room, if you need anything please just call us” Aaron added, his voice is calm and easy too.

Evelyn nodded and watched them leave the room one by one. Outside the room “I will go prepare a feast!” Lora said she can’t hide her excitement anymore. “Honey, let’s go I will need your help.” She said and dragged Mathew into the kitchen.

“I think it will take her some time to adjust,” David said standing beside the door.

“Hmm, maybe, but I don’t understand why Logan told us to be her personal bodyguards?” Aaron added he was a bit dissatisfied. “We are the top soldiers of the Shadow guard unit; we should be used in dangerous missions not guarding a lady”

“Be quiet, these are Vice commander’s order” David glared at him

“I don’t care, we have to be extra careful and courteous when speaking with her; I’m not used to this I’d better go on the battlefield and kill the enemies rather than serve a lady!” Aaron didn’t stop and continue expressing his dissatisfaction. David lifts his hand hit hard on his stomach.

“Ah! What the hell? Why did you hit me?” he shouted at David but he didn’t reply and stood straight looking in front.

David is a rational and cautious person while Aaron is straightforward and blunt.

Inside the room, as soon as they left she got up from her bed and came closer to the door, and pressed her ear on it.

Although the room is soundproof, if someone is talking right outside the door and the person is listening right from behind the door, then it’s easy to listen to what people are talking about if the distance is close.

Shadow guards unit? Who is the Vice commander they mentioned? They are the top soldiers of Shadow guards unit, the top organization under the military of USA?

One after another I am receiving surprises but not good ones. I came here just to find clues not to get married to some young master. Now I’m getting a headache.

Evelyn went back to the bedside and pondered while closing her eyes

OK, think where did I go wrong? I was hiding in Russia from my grandfather because he was forcing me to get married, and at that time I received a clue about my mom’s disappearance so I came here, and to keep my profile low so that when I investigate anybody don’t find my identity suspicious that I went to the Wilson’s, but when I was there Stella Wilson told me I have to switch place with her daughter Jane for the engagement and then I lost my consciousness after a little argument with her.

And after I woke from sleep I’m married!? I didn’t even have a chance to date a handsome guy and I’m already married, God why are you doing this to me? This is not fair!

She walked towards the bed with her hands folded, thinking with her eyes closed; her blood is boiling in anger.

Oh my dear aunt Jane, you have made a very big mistake. At first, I planned to play low and stay quietly in my place and look for clues, but now whatever happens you will be responsible for that.

Evelyn opened her eyes; the coldness in them which she always hides is clearly visible; no matter what happens in whichever situation she stays calm and doesn’t act on impulse. If she is offended sometimes she let it go and doesn’t bother with it. But Jane Wilson has gone too far, there’s no way Evelyn will let her go.

“First I need to get out of here, I won’t accept this meaningless marriage, I never signed the documents so how is this marriage legal; I will not accept just anyone as my husband.” She looked around looking for something.

She went to a door at the left and opened it she is stunned when she saw the walk-in wardrobe; all her clothes are neatly kept on the right shelves and on the left shelves men’s clothes are kept.

She narrowed her eyes when she looked at the men’s cloth, “Guess he is a black and white lover.” All the clothes are in black, white or mixed shades.

“I don’t think I will be able to take all my belongings with me if I want to run.” She put her hands on her waist, pursed her lips and looked around, and saw her phone on the dressing table.

She picked it up “Should I call Sara?” she wondered but then suddenly Sara’s angry face came into her mind, she shook her head. “No, no if she finds out instead of coming to save me she will lecture me, then Clare?” she again wondered and Clare’s deadly cold face came to her mind, she gulped in fear.

Evelyn had Goosebumps when Clare’s face came to her mind, “NO if I tell Clare she will directly kill me, although she is always supportive in crazy things provoking her is like provoking a T-Rex!”

“If I tell her I was tricked and got married, she will beat the hell out of me.” She sighed in frustration “Ah, I know they will come to save me but I’m more scared to even think what they will do to me after that.” She bit her lips.

“They are the most reliable friends but I really don’t want to call them right now, because only I know what they look like when they are angry.” Evelyn sulked down and suddenly confronted them “And they call me I look like the devil when I’m angry, they should look in the mirror when they are angry; even someone like me gets scared of them.”

Evelyn took a deep breath, and turned her phone on, after a while checking the system and software “So my doubt was right, they are keeping me under surveillance” she smirked, “The guards to keep watch of my actions, the tracking bug installed in my phone, seriously.” She turned her phone off and took a chair from the dressing room and came out.

“Do they think I won’t find out, I’m the no.1 genius hacker Black Spade trying to put a tracking device in my phone” she chuckled and locked the chair with the door lock, preventing it to be opened. “Childish!”

Evelyn went to the balcony and checked if anyone is around or if there were any CCTV cameras near here. She noticed few guards patrolling around but no cameras. She wore her mask and ran away.

Without wasting any time she carefully climbed over the wall, grabbing the windows; she is walking over the ceiling and she noticed a guard coming in her direction, she immediately lied down. A few seconds later the guard left, the ceiling was high enough so the guard didn’t notice her. She stood up again and slowly walked towards a nearby tree and climbed on its branch.

Finally, now I just have to jump over this wall and run away at my full speed.

She took a deep breath climbed over the boundary wall it is almost 8 feet tall she didn’t though and jumped down; she easily landed on the ground, turned, and looked at the wall mockingly. “Just an 8 feet tall wall, even that old man isn’t able to keep me locked up, then who do think you are?” she turned wore her cap, which she took from her wardrobe and ran towards the road.

“Once I reach the main road I can call Sara and tell her to come to pick me up.”

After a while 8:30 pm; at the Black Lion military base, Logan told them about Evelyn after messing around with them for a while.

“What? So Ariana is Madam Scarlett’s daughter. If that’s the case then there’s no problem in marrying her right?” Peter said and looked at

“Well, I think so too but we don’t know anything about it.” Mick added “What do you think Leo?” he asked him, but before Leonardo could answer; ‘RING, RING, and RING.’ Logan’s phone ran it is David; he immediately picked it up “Hello”

“Vice Commander, Madam ran away!” David yelled, he is clearly anxious and panicked, he always stays calm in most of the situation but now his voice is clearly nervous, and Logan can understand why David called him instead of Leonardo because if Leonardo finds out they failed in such a small task; he hangs up the call and Mick immediately asked looking at the trouble expression on Logan’s face “What happened?” Mick asked, Logan, looked at the phone, and then Leonardo and slowly said " A call from David, something urgent came up at your house.” Leonardo isn’t wearing the mask right now he frowned but his face was emotionless, Logan isn’t able to utter a word when he saw Leonardo’s red blood eyes.

I took Ariana to the villa and now she is missing, if tell him he will surely kill me, but I have to tell him I don’t have any other option, God save me!
