Two days have passed and Ethan couldn’t stop thinking about Mia the whole time. He assigned someone to look at her previous life and where is her new job.
During lunchtime, he decided to pay her a visit in the library pretending that he has no clue that she is working there or he did not go on purpose.
Ethan’s driver stopped the big fancy black car in-front of the shop, him from behind rolled down the window slowly to have a clearer sight of the girl of his dreams, standing there organizing some books on the library’s outside glass. He was admiring her beauty from faraway, mesmerizing every single detail about her. When she went inside and he could no longer spot her, he directly went down and went into the shop.
Mia was holding a seemed to be an old book in her hands, going through its pages behind the cashier desk not noticing the entrance of Ethan until she heard one of her colleagues saying:
“Hello Sir! How can I help you?”
He replied with such deep voice not taking his eyes away from her and not paying any attention to the lady standing right in front of him
“I want to purchase books for a child, do you have any!”
Mia saw him and she smiled at him, placing the book back on the shelf and went directly to greet him.
“Hey there! Welcome to our shop!” She handed her hand for a shake.
He looked her up and down and took her hand slowly and softly, giving her an evil soft smile:
“Hey! Do you work in this shop?”
“Yep, I’ve started recently, what a coincidence right”
“Yes, it’s good to see you here!” He replied knowing very well that he knew every single detail about her and her life before entering there.
“So tell me! Are you here to buy a specific book because I can help!”
“Well yes, I want to buy some good books for a good friend of mine’s child, he is between 10 and 11 years old and he loves reading and I happen to pay them a visit today… so of course I will appreciate your help”
“Sure, it will be my pleasure to help! Follow me”
“I will follow you wherever you go”he said it with a smirk on his face
He invented that story up so he can see her and talk to her. After a tour around the shop and Mia showing him and choosing different good books for him while he was only admiring her.
She stopped, rolled her hair up and handed all the books to him while he was looking at her and capturing every single detail as if like she was doing it a slow motion.
She interrupted his thoughts by saying:
“This is all! I think the child will love them, come now let’s wrap them up and you can get going, you’re a busy man after all”
“Wait…” he hesitated for a while and continued
“Are you coming to the company’s celebration?”
“Well, to be honest I am still thinking about it! I don’t know anyone and I am not an outgoing person, so I will see!”
“You know me now…and it will mean so much to me if you come and to your step dad as well!”
She didn’t knew how to reply after what he said, she finished wrapping the gift, she gave it back to him and told him about the price. He knew that he couldn’t say anything more so when he was about to leave she said quickly:
“Ethan! I will do my best, see you very soon”
