Nightmare 3

It was almost 3 am.The car was running smoothly. Because of fear,I felt tried. So,I was sleepy.

All of sudden,the car stopped. I almost freaked out as I was half asleep. Looking at me my mom smiled sadly and said,"Sweetheart,It's nothing.Don't be scared.The car is almost out of fuel. So,we stopped in a gas station."

"Runa baby,you are awake too?" My little sister giggled as a answer of father's question. "Stay here. I am going out to pre-pay for petrol", saying this father got out of the car. He was heading to the gas station shop.

"Mom,are we going on a picnic?", Runa asked innocently. Kissing her mom said, " Yes,sweetheart." "Then why we are going on a picnic at night?" Mom said, " Cause,we are going to a far place." "Ooooo!!!!!!! So, it is going to be my birthday gift.", Runa said happily.

I totally forgot that tomorrow was Runas birthday.

I looked at mom. I can see tears in mom's eyes.

" Yes,sweetheart. It's your birthday gift", saying that mom started crying silently. I can't understand what should I do. Looking at mom, I started crying loudly.

It's tears of fear.A fear that the beatiful world I was living in will fall apart. A fear of losing people that I love.

My mom took me in her embrace as I was crying hard. Holding two of us in her arms she started saying, "Everything will be ok. Don't cry.You are elder sister. If you cry, Ruma will feel sad. Right,Ruma?"

"Why are you crying, sister?",Ruma asked.

I looked at mom. My mom moved her head right to left. I looked at my sister. " Nothing. I am crying cause I am jealous of you. " saying this I tried to hold a angry face. But,i ended up crying again.

Ruma said," I'll share my chocolets with you,sis. Don’t cry,please🥺🥺🥺." I don't know what to say.

Finding no other word I said," Ok, I'll give you your favourite chips." "Yeyyyyyy.....", she shouted happily.

Suddenly, I remembered something. Why my father is taking so much time? I got even more scared and asked my mother," Mom, how much time it takes to pre-pay for oil?" She was trying to control both of us. So, she also didn’t realize that almost 10 minutes have passed. She became anxious.

"I am getting to look for your father." I loudly said, "I am coming with you,too."

We got out of the car. Ruma was in mom's lap.

I said,"I am going inside." "No,you stay here with your sister" "No,mom. You stay here with her."

I didn’t know how I suddenly became so brave. Normally, I am a coward.

She just said,"Be careful. I will stay here."

"Ok."

I passed the gas tank then push the glass door of the station. But, I couldn't find anyone.

I started sweating. I started to console myself that, "It's midnight. That's why no one's here. Maybe,my father is buying some food for us. Maybe,he is paying for that on the counter....."

But,as soon as I reached the counter I started shivering.

Oh my godddddd.......

What happened here?????

Why there are packs of bread on the floor????

Oh my god.........

The....the... red liqued on the floor.......

Is...is that blood??????

"Father!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", I started shouting. "Where are you???????????"
