-Elena-
That night I had a dream. The first dream in which everything was clear. It was not like the others. The one which was a blur, not giving a trace or evidence of where I was. This dream was clear. It felt real, like a vision. Like I was seeing some kind of memory.
I was in a dimly lit room. It looked like some kind of meeting room. There were three people sitting at a table.
One of them was the same person I always saw in my dreams. His violet eyes looked cold and serious. He was well built and muscular. His dark hair looked messy. He sat on the chair at the table. He looked tired. It was the complete opposite of what I saw in my other dreams.
The other person sat with a bored expression. He was tall, really tall. More than six and a half feet with shoulder-length brown hair. He had brown eyes and looked a bit older. He was muscular and broad shoulders.
The other person had a cape on but by the lean physic and curves, it was clear that it was a woman.
They were talking in a hushed voice. It was barely above a whisper. It was like he was instructing both of them.
Suddenly I felt like I was been pulled, feeling of falling in an endless pit and then it all stopped. I was in another location.
I was standing in front of a small cottage. It was in the middle of a forest. Something told me to go inside. So I did that but instead of touching the door my hand went through it. As if it wasn’t there. So I just went through it.
As expected it was a small house. The interior was decorated in a way that could be said was not of the time or age I belong to. There was a small wooden table in the center of the room. Wooden chairs were placed around it. The room didn’t have any decoration other than the small vase of flower that sat on top of the table. The room was dimly lit. There were no lamps or bulb, instead, there was only a small lantern hanged from the wall illuminating the room with its dully flickering fire.
“Dinner is almost ready.” Said a soft woman’s voice which caught my attention. It was from the other room maybe kitchen.
“William go help your mother.” A man’s voice echoed. It held a lot of authority and power. And he was the same man I saw a moment ago in my dream some time ago with shoulder-length brown hair.
“Yes, papa.” Came the voice of a boy who came running out of the room to my left. He must have been no older than thirteen. He had black hair and blue eyes but something was not right. His eyes were the dark shade of blue I have grown acquainted with. And it had a strange fire in them like he was determined to do something.
Suddenly all the glass shattered across the floor and three men landed inside the cottage. One flew toward the boy and grabbed him by the throat, slamming him against the wall near the fireplace. The other had the mother in his arm gripping her shoulder tightly, facing the father.
The one holding the boy ordered the one near the window to search the small cottage. He had a deep voice with a rough edge to it. His voice held a lot of venom in it, it was clear he wanted revenge. But revenge for what?
I looked at the father to see his reaction, only to find none. His face was expressionless and he seemed relaxed. It seemed he didn’t care. But if you put the effort it was easy to note the amusement in his eyes.
Suddenly the boy scoffed like he didn’t even care for his life. The mother also had the same expression as the father. She didn’t seem to care that her family was in danger. Their action shocked me. There was no civilization for a mile, they were been attacked and all of them seemed not to care at all.
I was aware it was a dream but it was making no sense now. Not knowing what to do I step forward to save the boy.
Suddenly the boy looked up. It seems like he was seeing through my soul. He was looking at me. The smirk and smoke covered him and his mother.
I was in shock. In front of me was the same person in my dreams. The mother turned into the clocked woman from his office from my previous dream. Her face was still covered. I was so absorbed in my shock that I didn’t notice that all three of them lying on the floor dead.
“Clean it up.” the purple-eyed man said in a firm voice. I looked up to see the man quickly turned away like he is avoiding the order given to him. Which was responded by a huff from purple-eyed man? He mumbled something under his breath and disappeared through the door.
“Making the prince do your work is not wise Dimitri.” The woman said shaking her head to show her disapproval. Her voice sounded familiar but I could not remember where I have heard it.
“You need to calm down sometimes woman. I just do it to annoy him and you know why.” His voice was deep and masculine. The woman seemed to roll her eyes and turned her attention to the bodies of the three men lying on the floor. "They needed to be burned and the evidence destroyed."
The purple-eyed man whom I came to know was the prince from the conversation came back with a lantern and brought it to the small table by the fireplace. He dropped the oil from the lantern reservoir on the table and coated it completely.
My eyes grew wide on the knowledge of what he was going to do. Taking care of the bodies was simple. He would simply knock the lantern over and the house would burn. It would perfectly look like an accident.
After everything was ready the man and woman left. But the prince looked straight in my direction. As if he could see me. But the thing that confirmed it was the next words he spoke.
“We shall meet soon love.” With that, he kicked over the lamp and the table was engulfed in flames.
He left the house with a smirk on his face and soon the house was engulfed in fire.
I shot up instantly and realized I was back in my room. My breathing was labored and I was covered in sweat. It was just a dream.
I heaved out a sigh. The dreams are getting more vivid every passing day. It was really draining me out.
I looked up at my alarm clock on my table and it was already seven in the morning. I got up and went to take a shower and get rid of all the sweat.
The only thought in my mind the whole time was what actually happening to me and why it started only after I got the pendant?
I had to do something about it. But what can I do anything about a thing that I have no idea about?
