CHAPTER 2

I opened the door and my smile fell off my face when i see my mate who is supposed to love me is butt ***** on top of a similar butt ***** girl whom i recognized as eliana the pack's favourite person the alpha's daughter.

They both sensed my presence and look at me. Eric the beta looked at me shocked and frowns while eliana covers both of them with the blanket. Realisation hits Eric and his face shows rage and disgust towards me. Tears are flowing down my cheeks by seeing my mate with another she-wolf, i leave the room and run towards my room and cry. After 10 minutes, the door opens revealing Eric. He looks me at the floor and without warning started kicking me everywhere, then a punch on a face and then kick punch.... it's go on untill i fall limp on the floor. The last words i hear are more painful from the beating i just received for no reason.

"I Eric William reject you Alana as my mate". He spat. "I don't know why moon goddess would do such a mistake my pairing me with a trash like you. I have a true mate and that is Eliana, she is going to lead me to the alpha position and keep me happy and satisfied which you can never do" he continued. Then i blacked out.

I feel like my life is slowly being sucked out of my body, leaving me more lifeless then i was before. Being abused and not loved is a different thing but being rejected by your mate is an entirely different thing. A week has passes since that day and no one knows what has happened. Eric had threatened me not to tell anyone and now he beats me openly and no one does nothing about it, they join him sometimes in beating me. My life is worse than it was. I tried to kill myself sometimes but bella didn't let me. I have to cope up with all this and survive. I am afraid the men that beat me, the women that burn me, everything. I don't react and silently keep bearing the pain they inflict upon me and hope that death is finally bestowed upon me to release me from here.

...DAMIEN'S P.O.V...

Sometimes i think i have the worst case of bad luck in the whole entire universe. I have to work non-stop pack meetings, traveling to other pack, different events in which Alpha's are forced to go to, etc.. I am a cruel and dangerous Alpha i agree, but i don't want my pack to suffer, but still a very important part of me is missing. My mate, my pack's Luna. I am 22 now and i am still looking for her. I think i should just give up. I have traveled to other packs and territories and hoped to find her but i guess i have to stop now.

Today is the get together of the Alpha's of different packs. It is held every year at a different pack. This time it's at the Heather's, honestly i am not the fan of that pack. I have heard the Alpha was the Beta of that pack and received the position by mating with the Alpha's daughter which is very cheap of him, because she is not his real mate. I stand infront my full view mirror and look at myself when i am satisfied with my suit i walk in the closet for my watch, wallet. I looked at my closet and sigh. About a month ago i was running around the city border when my wolf started screaming mate in my head and i was this close on finding her. But i lost her scent and in hopes of finding her i emptied half of my closet. I take my necessary things and exit my room with my stone heart face, nobody has seen me smiling except for a few close ones.

I meet my Beta outside the pack house and we reached our destination in an hour. We exit our cars and were welcomed by Alpha Eric and Luna Elaina, we greeted each other and were soon joined by other Alpha's and their Luna's and Beta's. Drink and snacks were served and all were engaged in small talks, i was incredibly bored and needed to get out of here. No one was talking to me as they were terrified of me and i intend to keep it that way. I mind linked Nate my Beta that i am going out for a stroll.

I excused myself, i was finally out of their. I walked out and instantly got lost, this place is like a maze. I don't know how but i ended up in the kitchen. I looked around and caught a scent, honey and cinnamon.

MATE

My wolf yelled in my head. I started doing a happy dance in my head, i frantically looked around but couldn't found anything. Then i focused on the scent, it's coming from the cabinet in the kitchen but that's not all that i smell, the scent is mixed with the metallic scent of blood. I mind linked Nate and in 5 seconds he was with me. I quickly opened the cabinet but what i saw broke my heart.....
