Y/N had always been gentle and soft spoken, lowering her head whenever I nagged at her and adorably asking for forgiveness after like a cute kitten.

Seeing Coco look at me strangely I knew that this manager of mine knew me the best, and so I tried to soften my tone so that I did not look suspicious.

“Are there any problems?”

Coco blinked and replied, “What happened last night? Why are you in the hospital?”

“It’s fine now, don’t worry.”I finished wearing my clothes and said, “I’m going to school now.”

“Wait, I have something to talk with you about,” Coco didn’t ask any further. He would hear the details from the doctor later after all.

Business was more important.

I stopped and turned around. “Yes?”

Coco opened his bag and took out a file, handing it to me. “This is the contract with Starshooter Entertainment. If you don’t see any problems with it then sign it now please.”

I did not move to accept the file.

“What’s wrong?

“I’m not renewing my contract.”

Coco furrowed his eyebrows and asked, “Why not? Did you find another company? Did someone else scout you? Did you already sign a contract with them? Why didn’t you come discuss it with me, don’t you know there’s a lot involved? Even if you didn’t want to continue at Starshooter Entertainment you could have asked for my advice—”

“No!” I cut him off before he could continue any further, “I mean from today onward, I will be retiring from the entertainment industry. I won’t apply to a film academy!”

“What?!”

Coco’s jaw went slack in shock, staring at me in disbelief. “Is today April Fool’s? Or have you gone mad?”

I raised an eyebrow, subconsciously emitting a strong aura as I thought of throwing this man out the window.

This invisible pressure made Coco frown. “Y/N, don’t play with me please?”

“Alright, I’m going to school now. As for the damages you can tell me how much I have to pay you later, I think I’ve got enough money to pay for it. Also, thank you for taking care of me all these years!”

Third person pov

The last sentence was meant for the girl that was already gone!

Seeing her slowly disappearing silhouette, Coco stomped his foot in frustration and made his way to the doctor’s office.

Standing at the entrance of Bolin High School, I smirked elegantly—my delicate features immediately becoming the center of attention.

But somehow, the gazes that I attracted today were somewhat strange.

I did not expect to be able to step into a school like this one day. In my last life, I never had the chance to enjoy school life, only training day in and day out.

From the entrance to the female dorms, people were pointing at me and muttering among themselves.

“Apparently she was drugged and raped last night…”

“Really? I heard that she willingly gave herself up to the investor to secure a position as the lead!”

“I can’t even imagine being so shameless…”

As I returned to my dorms, I saw the friend that drugged me at the bar last night, Rose. She was chatting with some girls from another dorm, and it was apparent what the topic was about.
