“CRAP ITS 7 30 am, Agrhhh\~ WHY DID MY ALARM WENT OFF HUHU I’M GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!” Eleanor shouted when she woke up.

Eleanor got ready for school and when she looked at the the dinning table the food she left was untouched. It was 7 45 when she left her house. She ran quickly so that she would’nt be late on the second day of her school. Luckily she made it in time for their first class.

Time passed by and it was Lunch time…

“Okay Class, I will have a quiz tomorrow so be prepared.” Their math teacher said and left.

Eleanor wasn’t able to make her breakfast nor her lunch because she was in hurry this morning so she went to the cafeteria to buy food. When she got there, there was a huge crowd of students. After the students have got what they want and it was not that crowded anymore she bought a sandwich and went back go the class and ate it. While eating she stared outside the window to look at the sky.

“Eleanor..” her classmate said.

“yes?” she answered.

“Have you decided to join any club?” she asked.

“No, I am not interested in joining in any club, if you would excuse me.” Eleanor said and went to the restroom.

After she got back she went to her seat and stared at the sky while her head was down on the table. Her classmates just looked at her and wondered why does she have to be so cold to everyone and she would only talk when the teachers have asked her to answer something or if there are group related school projects.

After school, they tried to invite Eleanor to hang out with them but Eleanor left their classroom without bothering to talk to them. As usual she would go to the convinient store and work.

“Heyyy, its Luca, Mitsuo and Koemi.” said by one of the student for there school.

“Welcome..” Eleanor greeted them and scanned the food that they bought.

“That would be ¥1,500.” Eleanor said.

Luca was looking for his wallet but can’t seem to find it in his bag.

“Lucaaa\~ If you don’t have any money just say it. I will pay for it. Here you go.” Koemi said and gave the money.

“Koemi, I do have money I just cant find my wallet.” Luca said back

“I recieved ¥1,500” Eleanor said.

“Oh! sure Luca” Mitsuo said and laughed.

Eleanor handed the receit to Koemi and the food they bought and so the trio left. After 2 hours Eleanor got off her part time job and went home.

When she got home the food she made last night still untouched. so she decided to reheat the food and ate it for her dinner. After having dinner her mom called.

“Hey\~ How is school? I hope you are doing well.” Her mom said.

“It’s great.” Eleanor said.

“Have you made new friends? and How about your dad, Is he taking care of you?” Her mom asked.

“Yes mom I have made new friends and dad has been taking good care of me, I need to go now since I still have to study.” she said back.

“Okay then that is good to hear, I also need to go, hehe bye.”

After their call ended Eleanor was thinking that until when will she hide the fact that her father has been an alcoholic and he has been addicted to gambling ever since she left them for her other family.

“It’s better that I won’t tell her anything and that everything is alright. If she truly cared for me she would have visited me atleast once or twice a year but she has never visited me in 5 years.” Eleanor said to herself.

She washed the dishes and went straight up to her room and studied until 11 pm and went to sleep. Her father came back at 3 in the morning and was in a pretty bad mood he went straight up to his daughter’s room and shouted at Eleanor. He dragged her to the kitchen and asked her to make food for him. Even though Eleanor was trembling in fear and she was in tears, she still made her father a meal.

“By the way, I wont be home for 2 weeks or so.” her father said.

“Dont worry, your mom sent you some money and you know how we split it right?” he added.

“yes.. 70 30, 70% to you and 30% to me.” Eleanor said while she tried not to stutter.

“good, good, I will be taking my leave now.” Her father said and left.

It was already 5 am and Eleanor couldn’t sleep back so she prepared her stuff for school and washed the dished that her father ate in.
